I also watch the other patrons' haircuts as they come/go. The African American gentlemen does a GREAT haircut on ethnic gentlemen - black, Hispanic, Middle Eastern. I was lucky enough to walk in and get 2 decent hair cuts over the last month. So This week i have meetings in NYC and wanted a clean up. Today i walked in ,spoke with barber, He said he set me up for 5:00 pm. I get there at 5 and wait 20 min before i finally left. You ask me to be there at 5pm, pay for parking because there is none there, and have the audacity to make me wait 20+ min while you begin cutting someone else????? And said nothing Bro your company is a joke. Every barber in there is talking more to each other than doing hair. Oh well yet another place that doesnt care about the customer Dont push for apt's if you aren't professional to keep them ! Most barbers are fantastic. I've gone here at least 4 times and the haircuts were great. However, this last haircut was terrible. The barber named David had very shaky hands and gave me a very uneven cut. Come here but just don't get seen by David and you'll have a good haircut. read more

I never review poorly but Sondes made me look like I just got out of brain surgery. Asked for a fade and got a wave. I look goofy AF right now about to call my barber and see what I can do for his family to get him to come back. I'm scared to go into public until my hair grows back. 40+ min is too long for a walk-in to wait. When I enter I was nicely greeted then told I would be next. 3 customers walked in after me and all were taken before me with no explanation given. The fourth customer that got seated before me, I was told had an appointment and I would be next...that was at 40 min of waiting. Just be honest with your walk-in customers, let them know all your barbers are booked for the next hour+, then I could have made a decision to wait or not. But at 40 mins of being ignored, then told I was next after another scheduled hair cut is a poor way to run a business, and disrespectful of my time as well. read more

Sondes is great! Highly recommend. One of my favorite haircuts I've received and the price is very fair. Very clean space and convenient too. Very covid safe for those still concerned on that front. Bring cash, as they do not take credit cards. They do have an ATM in the back if you forget. read more

Sondes did a superb job fading my hair. I was reluctant after losing my Barber of many years due to their business folding doing the pandemic. This place really tried to scam me. The hair cut was great thanks to Neto. First of all they only accept cash and cash app or Zelle. Not reliable at all and not legitimate. One of the barbers by the name of David Lyons is in charge of all electronic transactions. I sent him $55 for the hair cut and gave $25 cash tip. Hours later way past Closing time, David Lyons requested $55 and I declined because I already paid $55 for the haircut earlier that day during opening hours. So I go into the shop to settle this. I show them all the receipts and proof that I paid the $55 from cash app receipts to my bank statement. This guy David Lyons literally scrolled past the receipt where it's shows I paid the $55 at 5:56 pm on his phone. David Lyons gets loud and aggressive when I tell him "hey the web receipt is right there can you click on it". Caught him red handed trying to double charge me in front of his boss Mr. Ali. And the sad part about this is, the supervisor Mr. Ali didn't want to let me prove myself and quickly rushed me out the door when he figured out Mr. David Lyons was lying. I will never go back to this barber shop and hope people avoid getting any hair cuts here. They scam you out of your money. read more

Walk in and got available barber (mature African American male) with mild hand tremors...ask if he cut children hair - Yes. I Requested to bring down hair to an even length after hair grew out from Mohawk and because wanted to grow the hair out evenly. Barber had to be having a off day, child was in chair for 120mins, noticed barber bleeding noticeably from his fingers by his nail - blood of child's face, had to immediately ask barber stop work and clean up and get gloves. Barber continued but wasn't able to effectively cut with consideration of 6 yr old child. Too rough and ask to much of a child, while showing poor quality cut. Over all poor quality cut for child. Ask to stop service and requested another barber to finish the work. I am giving three stars because the other barber (didn't get her name, young Spanish female) was effective and was able to correct the issues from the first barber, if not I would leave zeros stars. I would return and request the female barber mentioned above. The place is modern and clean and over all friendly. read more
