I hired them for several major and minor projects and…read moreover the course of years I have realized that they did a low quality work (especially foundation) even though they claim they do proper engineering considerations and have the experience! 1) I hired them to redo a patio floor in 2017; They poured a thin layer of concrete over shingle sheets that were originally there. The concrete has cracked and water leaks to the garage. I am going through major redo only 6 years later by finding out about the unprofessional work they did every layer that is removed! 2) I hired them to rebuild a wood patio for me in 2018... Last year we found out that the columns where not secured to the ground, sat on a thin layer of concrete with the drain passing under it! I had to redo the post, columns, & etc. 3) I hired them to cover an in ground Jacuzzi. They used plywood and claimed they have waterproofed the edges well!! Rest assured it leaked and had to be replaced within 18 months! 4) I hired them to install an over the hood microwave. The did not sit the vent properly, requiring me to redo the work + fixing the damaged parts! 5) I hired them to do exterior stucco; they did a terrible job in matching the paint (even wrong finish) and texture... 6) I hired them to install a sliding door! they used a cheap door with a broken lock and without water proofing the base! (there are pictures to prove all of these..) I have given Ali several chances to fix any of these and unfortunately he does not take any accountability and responsibility for his work!! He always needs to "think about it and get back to me"!... Shame on me for trusting him with all this work and all the money I paid him, but shame on people like this calling themselves professional engineers and holding a license!

He was straight-forward and to the point and most of all, a great communicator. He was friendly and made us feel very comfortable. He always made sure we were updated each day about what workers were coming and where we were in terms on progress. The city caused us some delays in attaining the city permit but Pete and this company helped us get through it. When we initially got estimates from other companies, we emphasized we wanted a city permit because we are tearing down a wall. The other companies gave us low-ball estimates because they felt a city permit wasn't necessary. Pete understood and worked with us and we got it. His final cost matched his estimate almost to the penny. We requested a few change orders and he was very accommodating. The workers were hard-working and made every attempt to not disturb us while we were in other parts of the house. I think it's important to note that Pete knew we had a budget for this job and made sure he stuck with his original estimate. We are retired folks so keeping to the budget means a lot. I think Pete knew this and made sure to make this happen. Thank you so much for the great job. We are very happy with our new kitchen and dining room. They re-did our 2 bathrooms (from the 70's!) updated our master bedroom, tore out our whole house carpeting and laid beautiful composite flooring. He is amazing. He guided us on what would work and not work and why. He never pushes you one way or another, just gives his advice if asked. I did SO MUCH research before I hired them so I felt really good going with these guys. A huge plus is they use specific guys for specific jobs. They have painters, plumbers, electricians etc. Believe it or not that is really important! Mr Pete is great at communicating and you can text him anytime he doesn't mind. It all sounded great. We needed an entire roof of a Four-plex ripped and replaced. Communication was prompt and project moved along well. Before we sent final payment, we went over some remaining issues and things were fixed. Then things changed drastically. A major storm came and caused leaks. It took weeks for Scott to respond to the emergency request to have the issue patched up. A brand-new roof shouldn't be leaking. Another storm came by and again, it took days for him to reply back and take care of the issue once and for all. Any interior damage caused by these leaks were not covered under warranty, according to him, though that clause is unenforceable in the State of California for this situation. However, I had let it slide and decided to fix it myself later. Half a year later when one of the tenants moved out, I saw indentations across the ceiling as if sharp objects were pushed down from above. The tenant had never informed me, but she said that they appeared during the roof replacement. I also saw that the water heater exhaust pipe was loose and no longer attached to the roof frame. Same story for the HVAC exhaust pipe. It was clear that when the roof was replaced, the workers did not take great care to ensure the exhaust pipes were securely fastened back. I texted Scott. I called the number on the company's website. I sent a message through the website. I emailed. It's been a week with no response. [UPDATE: He finally responded after I submitted this review on Yelp and cited that interior damage is not covered under warranty. I informed him that this was untrue and am asking him to take responsibility for the damage caused. I rather not file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board, but will if he keeps hiding behind that unenforceable warranty clause. If necessary, I will have another roofer provide a second opinion, fix the issues, and have the State go after him for reimbursement.]
