First off let me say that Mathew the owner of PJ Fix It is so professional! He came to my home with a mask and took all precautions for covid. Was on time! Cleaned the dust that had falling from the ceiling and swept up. After having a handyman come over the weekend who tried and fail at installing a ceiling fan, leaving me with a huge hole in my ceiling along with wasted time. Mathew to to the rescue!!! A few months back Matthew came and gel stained my front doors. It is a beautiful double fiberglass door that was peeling and flashing due to receiving a lot of direct sun and for something the previous homeowner did - it was in rough condition. We've been wanting to change the fixtures in our bathroom for quite some times. This review is long overdue. Matthew is the best around. I feel like he can do anything! My husband and I are pretty handy, but sometimes we need or break or some help with the heavy lifting. Matthew works quickly and cleanly. He won't say he's finished until it's perfect. Most of the time, I find his standards to be even higher than mine! My husband and I just moved into a new home. We were having a problem with the exhaust vent over our stove, in the microwave. When Matt came to look at it, he discovered that it was never even installed correctly and only hanging on by one screw. He reassembled it properly and fixed the exhaust fan issue. After I posted in Yelp looking for a handyman to fix my window that doesn't hold up after opening, a lot other businesses told me they don't provide such repair service. Another handyman told me I should contact manufacturer to have the whole window replaced. Matthew reached out to me a couple times, since he initially didn't receive my window photos. He gave me a very reasonable quote (a fraction of window replacement cost!!) and came to the house to measure the window first, ordered 3 parts for me. Then came to the house again after he received the parts. The window got fixed quickly without issue. My project was a little unusual and fairly minor -- I just needed a battery change for my smoke alarm which is 16-18 feet up in my dining room. My poor little dog has been crazed by the chirping!
