We've been taking our family to Imagination Playhouse for three years, and we love it. It's the perfect place to go on a rainy day, a super hot day, or just any day! It's great for both my 3.5yo and 1.5yo. My older kid can run and climb on all the awesome apparatuses and go down the giant slide, and my littler one can play in the "baby" area and ball pit. We've also attended birthday parties here, and they're so fun. They do a lovely job. Highly recommend! read more

It's my first time come here. Really like it. Normally I always go to liver mall bring my kids play. Since I live in SF it's really hard for me to find a good place to play with my kids. Right now I find the best one, I don't need drive to liver mall. Really don't know why ppl complain said this place is not good. My kids really like this place. Only $12 per day really worth. Imagination Playhouse - Kids Activities Near Me - San Francisco, California

This place is great! I brought my nieces here to play and they had so much fun they didn't want to leave! It has everything an indoor playground would need with play structures, slides, ball pits, and an area where kids can build things. My niece also had her birthday party here and it was splendid. They decorated the playground to the theme my niece chose (Spiderman) and all the guest were all impressed. The place was big enough to have all her classmates, friends, and their parents so nobody was left out. I believe they also have special events during holidays like pumpkin carving and other fun activities, you would need to probably check their website or talk to somebody that works there for more info. I like this place when it's not too crowded. But beware if you have toddlers. They don't have employees walking through to keep things calm, so the older kids can get quite pushy while the parents just sit on their phones. If you have a toddler running through while older kids are there, I suggest you get in there with them. It's def a fun place and I love that there is no time limit. So you could take the kids to get a snack and they are welcomed back with no issue. I would def recommend this place for a fun trip or for a rainy day. read more

It's nice to have another indoor play area for kids in San Francisco, as we all know that is extremely hard to find. At $12, it's decent priced. However, I was not too impressed by this place. At the entrance, there were bags of stuff in the corner they were trying to hide and I saw flies. The place is not too big and it was very hard to keep track of where my kiddo is compared to Peek a Boo Factory, which is more roomy and adults can even go in. Some kids misbehaved and the person in charge didn't even notice although she did end up talking to the woman the kids came with when she finally found out. The snacks are decent priced. They have cute character backpacks like Minions and Superman to purchase for $15. My son had fun. We don't live in the neighborhood so we won't come again though. read more

I did my son's birthday party here a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely loved it. The staff is fantastic and accommodating and the children LOVED their play structures. I love how they have something for older kids and younger kids/infants. The set up of the space is great and everyone fit comfortably. We had about 65 adults and 40 kids. The only problem was that my son was having so much fun that I didn't get to see him the entire time! He emerged for cake but that was pretty much it. A friend of ours mentioned this indoor play gym and I was eager to check it out. I took my 4-year old and he had a great time. It's good for the 7 and under crowd but there were kids there that were about 10 years old or so. There are ball pits, slides, climbing areas and a nice infant area for ages 0 to 3. They also have wifi and a sitting area for parents. We tried it out on a Saturday and it was quite busy in the afternoon. It is padded which is nice for the kids but supervision is still needed since some of the kids were much bigger than my 4 year old. It is a nice option to have for kids and my son preferred it to the outdoor playgrounds. Next time, I'll bring my 2 year old as well and see how he likes it. read more

I took my niece here while we wait to get seated for dim sum at dragon beaux. As many of you know, Richmond is pretty chilly and I certainly did not want to wait in the cold; thus, indoor playground it is! It's pretty huge and I was able to play alongside my niece. But there is also a resting area if you just want to wait and be on your phone. =D For the admission price, I am very satisfied. =) But again my expectation is pretty low - as long as I have a place to stay warm and my niece enjoys her time here. This place would be great if they could update their calendars properly. On 11/6 at 9am their calendar said closed for a party at 2pm. I live an hours walking distance and had friends from outside the city coming to meet us. When we got there at 10am the two girls behind the counter said it was closed for a party. I said yes but at 2pm bc your calendar says 2pm. They looked at me blankly and said "oh the customer changed their minds". Really?!?! I'll prob never come back. read more

Brought my 7 year old niece to check out this new place. This place is really nice and exactly what we need in this neighborhood. We spent about 2 hours there and they had wifi so I was able to get some work done. When it was time to leave she didn't want to go, but at least she didn't kick and scream like my friend's son that's 3 yo. The last few times that we've visited has been so ridiculously cold inside the attendant even said that others have complained, too, and that an electrician had been called. Right. I booked this place for my daughter's 4th birthday. I heard about it from a FB group for moms. I wasn't able to make it out there to check it out in person so I booked it based on reviews and pictures. I was really scared because I was expecting almost 100 people and I was hoping the place would be big enough to accommodate everyone.When we arrived I was impressed. The pictures online do not do this place justice! We booked this place for a private party for 4 hours and it was more than enough time to tire out the kids and accommodate the parents as they supervise. Free Wifi! Beware they make everyone, adults included, remove the shoes at the entrance. The place was clean and the two people at the door are very helpful. Providing utensils, plates, and napkins, setting up, helping put up decor I brought and cleaning up after...AWESOME! The parking is a bit difficult but we already were expecting that knowing the area. The only weird thing is that the worker's (owner?) daughters were playing during the party. They were throwing things off the play house structure and fighting so I had to bring it to the worker's attention. I mean they're kids so I can't say no but a nice heads up or keeping an eye on them would have been nice. Other than that, I would highly recommend this facility! Love this place. I was introduced to this place by a friend. I have 1 year old and a 4 year old. And this place is perfect for them. They have a infant toddler area and a structure area for older kids. It's not too busy on weekdays , not really sure about weekends. I tried booking a party for my sons up coming birthday but the girls in the front said they're all booked through out November and December for weekends. This place is awesome!! My daughter's classmate had a birthday party here on Sunday 11/20 and it was so much fun. The space is organized so well. There's different sections of play, all of which are so fun. There's this huge slide-tunnel structure that is just amazing! There's a squishy ball box area that the kids love to jump in and play. There's a wooden playhouse with a toy kitchen that my daughter & her friends just love. And a section with soft toys for smaller kids that looks really adorable. All the kids were laughing, smiling, and just having a blast here. I have never seen kids so excited & happy! In addition, this place makes it so easy to setup the food. There's a sink, refrigerator, & microwave, which is so convenient for storing and preparing food for a birthday party. There's so many tables along the wall so you can lay out the food and lots of space for guests to sit, eat, and socialize. None of the kids wanted to leave! Everytime a parent was getting ready to go, i would hear the kids begging for more playtime and asking to stay longer. My kids were no different and was one of the last few kids to leave. Even then, it was very hard to get them to go. As we were leaving and on the drive home, my kids kept asking when we could go back! :-) Thank you so much for creating this great space for children to play and for parents to host birthday parties!! It's such a terrific idea and a great place for the kids! We are looking forward to holding our daughters' birthday party here and will definitely come visit and play when the kids want to get some wiggles out or just have fun! read more

We're IP regulars, my two kids (4 and 1 1/2) have been coming here at least once a week since they opened about a year ago. It's a solid addition to the Richmond! A huge plus for me (WAHM) is drop off childcare for up to 4 hours at a time (call ahead for a reservation). It affords me the opportunity to get some work done while the girls have a blast playing. Is it perfect? No, but the owners are open to suggestions and I've seen small improvements nearly every time we're there. It is much smaller than Peekaboo so it can get crowded quickly and yes--easily overrun with bigger kids so caregivers need to pay close attention. The best time to go is after 12:30/1 when the place is nearly empty. read more
