Red eye (two shots of espresso with house coffee)

Red eye (2 shots of espresso with house coffee). Tastes similar to Blue Bottle Coffee, kind of on the sour side (see definition via Google below). The business appeared clean, not at all busy except for one couple seated outside, and friendly service. They have several types of whole beans in bags for purchase with hints of fruit. Question: Why do some coffee roasts taste sour? Answer from Trade Coffee website: Primary reasons for sour-tasting coffee is under-extraction, or not removing enough of the flavor compounds from the coffee grounds during the brewing process. Answer from espro.com: Sour coffee is often the result of a short brew time, leaving the sweet flavors not fully extracted from the bean. Increasing the brew time will allow all of the tasty flavor compounds to be extracted into your drink.

Coffee was good. I was eating at the place Next door and decided to get up from my table and walk over here to get some coffee. They took almost 20 minutes which I was part way through my meal. Quality was good, but speed was slow. Given it was a semi busy day.

i went with my friend here on a bustling saturday afternoon after seeing so many great reviews and a crowd inside of the cafe. upon first entrance, we found that the cafe was quite small and had a comforting / nature vibe. it's not a place to sit down and drink, but the seating is accommodated by outdoor tables. i got the 16 oz iced mocha with whole milk, and my friend 16 oz iced mocha with caramel. the bendy straws were a plus! the service was phenomenal but the drinks themselves were a bit underwhelming- not had though! 6/10. (update an hour later: coffee taste has bumped up to a 6.89/10).they were yummy, but it felt like the drinks were lacking the coffee taste that our palettes were looking for. we saw a lot of customers there order hot drinks, so maybe the next time we come here, we will do that instead!

Excellent coffee, very morose employees. Every time I'm in there, the vibe is just miserable. Mostly silent, no pleasantries, no smiles, and hardly a hello or a thank you. Not sure what's up with that, but I keep coming back because it's near the hotel I'm always at. I hope you can all be happy one day!! You deserve it.

Great place to have a coffee! Tried the Mocha cold coffee! It had a great taste and perfect amount of ice. Most places put so much ice so they wouldn't have to put too much coffee. They also have a selection of cakes to choose from, there are seats inside and outside.

Not edible with your bare hands unless you plan to pig out.

Could be 4 stars if they learn to follow the customer order. Everything bagel ended up plain. Extra hot latte ended up luke warm. And to go breakfast items had running egg and oil all splattered on them, making them inappropriate for hand consumption. This might be one of the better places in Corvalis, but we'll be looking harder elsewhere next time. Ambience is awesome. Definitely 4 stars there. But ultimately it's the product that matters.

Great little coffee shop. I came by in the morning before work and found it with moderate traffic. There's a lot of seating for how small the place is. I ordered a mocha with oat milk. (Alternatives include oat/almond/soy/coconut). The cinnamon buns looked appealing but I really didn't deserve one. As I say and waited for my drink I found the mellow indie playlist perfect for reading a book. My drink took a little over 5 minutes, and with a single barista working the entire store it felt pretty fast. Enjoyed the mocha, I'll definitely be back.

    Small Latte (burnt)

I got a Latte... it had a bad taste and was burnt. Also do not like the pressuring register option to tip for making a simple coffee (thanks square...). Will not be going back to pay for an overpriced latte. The store is also claustrophobic. Imported donut (sugar) boxes were left on the bar section and not "dealt with". Not a good look for the customer. Besides burning coffee, they need to tidy up.

Without question Tried & True is the best place in town for exceptional drip coffee. Medium roasts that taste great black.

I always enjoy my latte here. I've also tried out their sweet and creamy cold brew (a little too sweet but as a treat it was great!) and their cortado which are both solid. My go to dish is usually the acai bowl. Plenty of textures, flavors, and a good amount of sour and sweet that makes it's perfectly balanced. The only downside is that the spoons that are provided are a little big for the bowl that you are given, so you are bound to spill a little bit. The Mexican bowl is okay, but not quite my personal preference since there is more of a curry taste to it. Overall come and give Bodhi a try!

Though busy on a Wednesday afternoon (it was the day before Thanksgiving after all), we found a table and had a great meal. I loved my latte and biscuits and gravy! Everything was tastefully presented and had wonderful flavors. The portion sizes aren't too big, so don't expect a huge meal. I found the biscuits and gravy to be filling for a brunch, but someone with a bigger appetite might want to opt for something more substantial. The staff did a great job getting many orders out in a fairly short amount of time, and based on my meal, they weren't sacrificing quality in the process. The cafe norms are pretty standard for a seat-yourself cafe where you order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter, and bus your own table. I found Bodhi Cafe and Bakery to be exactly what I needed, and look forward to returning.

Another review mentioned computer campers, and I get it now- the seats inside were filled by people on their devices and no drink in sight. Reading the menu was a scavenger hunt, and although the prices weren't too bad, the whole café looked like the same copy paste cookie cutter nonsense. All the employees looked the exact same, all the coffee looked the same, and somehow all the foods looked the exact same as well? We got two medium chais, one with oat milk and the other with almond. To start, the ratio of Chai to milk was egregious, it was as if flavor was a suggestion. The Chai with almond milk tasted like bad cardamom water, and the one with oat milk tasted like cinnamon toast crunch milk. Normally I absolutely down drinks, but it stayed full with me all the way home until I could fix it. All in all, $13 for two medium milks is insane, couldn't recommended even if I was paid to..

You order from the far side of the counter your beverage before going up to the cashier for the rest of your order. I bit confusing since there wasn't any actual signage or barrier that would signal that. Obviously less of an issue for future visits. The lattes are definitely good. The specialty beverages are more likely to be misses than hits. They had a Vietnamese cold brew and honestly it was one of the worst attempts that I have tried. Really it just tasted like really sweet milk with a dash of coffee flavoring. I have tried some of their winter special drinks and those are usually better. Would definitely recommend with sticking to a traditional drink for more consistency sake. It can take some time to get drinks depending on how busy they are. It's ranged from 5-20 minutes from my experience. Food wise would recommend the bagel with salmon spread. They give quite a bit of spread that it's definitely enough to fully cover both halves independently. The bagel with avocado spread would be a close second. One of a few coffee placed in Corvallis so I'll definitely find my way back here.
