I'm leaving my review of this doctor as 5 stars but I came back to let everyone know that getting breast implants made me very sick. This is NO FAULT OF THIS DOCTOR. My friend & I both came to him for breast augmentation in 2006. I started having health issues within months. Fast forward 3 years and I was fighting for my life. I am disabled with chronic health issues. Mt friend also got sick years after I did. We have since both had our implants removed. She is fully recovered and I'm still working on it. I am getting better. She had hers out before me. I explanted in November 2019 and have MTHFR detoxing issues so I am taking longer. I also had a pacemaker implanted in 2012 with no real diagnosis ad to why my heart would stop. So the pacemaker is also a foreign object that contains silicone and metals. So that may be another issue. Please please consider your health before you get implants. Implants took away my ability to have children. Took away over 15 years of my life. read more

Through no fault of theirs, the Botox made my eyebrows drupe a bit and Dr. Hardesty asked me to come back in so he could personally look at me and then refunded my money. I had 3 consultation with Plastic Surgeon (PS) regarding a Tummy Tuck, 1 in person and 2 virtually due to COVID-19. Dr. Hardesty was the last virtual and he nailed it. It feel like I was in his office. So I chose him to do my TT, Muscle repair and Lipo on the flanks on 11/18/20. He was the only one using a pain pump at the site of my surgery, which i had for the first 3 days, letting me borrow a walker, not rent one like the other PS, and gave me leg compression device to take home to prevent blood clots. After searching for a plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills x3, Brea, and San Diego, I lost hope that I couldn't find just the right surgeon for me. I went to Dr. Hardesty for gynecomastia removal surgery in 2021. My initial thought about his office was that the office staff were extremely helpful and responsive. They responded quickly and appropriately if I was communicating via email or phone. Whenever I needed help with anything, they were there to answer all my questions. Dr. Hardesty is a really friendly guy who is easy to communicate with. Regarding the surgery itself, I am satisfied with my results. It took an additional revision surgery to get satisfactory results, and it's not quite as flat as I'd like it to be, but after the second surgery, I have a chest that I feel confident showing. The surgery was not painful both times, but the drain removal process after the revision surgery was very painful. I think the main issues are that my chest isn't completely flat and that I had to take significant time off from weight training to heal twice. Having to stop training for six weeks after both surgeries. I understand revision is common in plastic surgery and I'm steadily returning to my old strength. Also, I wish there were more options for virtual post-op meetings. Overall, I give my surgery results an 8/10 and the client support a 10/10. From my botched tummy tuck, to the way I was treated, my whole experience with Dr. Hardesty was beyond awful. I look worse now then I did before my surgery (handfuls of loose skin, awkward crease lines, crooked belly button etc) and when I said I was unhappy with my results, he said he didn't want me to come to any future appointments without my husband. Apparently, he thinks woman should only be seen and not heard. Dr Hardesty, thank you for changing my life! I am loving the results from the plus size tummy tuck. My experience here was terrible. I've gone back and forth whether to write this review. I got my breast aug done by Dr. Hardesty in November of 2015.. by March I knew I had made a mistake.. I developed a double bubble which when brought to his attention (he got a bit agitated) but after seeing 6!!!! I got a breast augmentation back in October 2020 and I couldn't be happier. From the moment I made my appointment to the surgery to post op appointments I was extremely satisfied. The staff and and Dr. Hardesty are awesome and I definitely recommend him. I am about 6 1/2 months post op and I love my results. I got 375 cc's and did silicone implants behind the muscle. My primary doctor, whose the best I have ever had for the past 20 years( M. MIKHAIL) referred me to of Dr. Hardesty after I spoke with him in detail about my request for a thigh lift. My weight has been a constant struggle for me. I had my daughter young and continued to gain weight even after having her. I understand everyone's frustration. It's been a long time coming but I have to chime in regarding the consistency of the surgeries performed. I had a breast augmentation with tummy tuck and liposuction from the waist down to my knees. The tummy tuck and breast aug. turned out great but the rest is a disaster. I've had a couple follow up surgeries to correct my thighs but it's still a mess and now I just have to live with it. They say they'll make it right but you have to pay for the hospital which can up upwards of $2000. If I'm bringing the issues up that haven't been corrected at time of surgery within the 12 months allotted why am I paying for the hospital - that should be on the doctor. I think as the doctor if you're great at something leave it at that and refer your patients to another doctor who would better serve your patient on the next surgery and you would be respected for accepting that you are not great in every aspect of cosmetic surgery and that it is not your expertise. I have lumps, banana rolls and far from symmetrical. Again, if it's something the doctor is not able to do he needs to swallow his bride and say so and the office manager needs to stay out of it as well and not respond for the doctor as she is not the one performing the surgery. That is another problem at this facility- the office manager answers a lot of theses complaints which is not for her to do. The contract is with Dr Hardesty, not Elizabeth and I don't believe that he is even aware of half of the complaints on Yelp. Do some soul searching ladies before you jump into surgery and perhaps try another option before jumping into surgery. I hope I've been able to get some of you to stop and think before you chose surgery, as it is final, depending on your cash flow. The final word - It's all about consistency and that's the issue here. He's great with breast aug and tummy tuck but for your thighs, find someone else. All I have to say is if you want your Botox & filler done right go see Chelsea. She is amazing, put it like this, she is an artist and your face is her canvas. Last year I was looking for a new place to get my Botox/filler after having a not so good experience at a location very, very close to Dr. Hardesty's office...... So anyways I did some research and saw that Dr. Hardesty's office had great reviews and I liked the fact that he is an actual plastic surgeon, not a cardiologist who does cosmetic procedures on the side, so I knew that whoever worked at his office would be legit. I called and made an appointment and lucky me my appointment was with Chelsea. She started off by asking me how I wanted the Botox to look, I told her that I like it high and flat as the wall, no movement, think real housewife style, she said great aggressive, and that's the way you should do Botox! And she gave me just that, it looks fabulous and is long lasting with no movement. I then asked Chelsea about making some filler that I had gotten at another place, (the place that I had not a good experience at) look more symmetrical (it was only obvious to me, but that's who opinion matters most!) She said no problem, that she could not dissolve someone else's work, that I would have to go back to them for that, well there was no way in heck I would go back there, but she could defiantly even it up for me. And she again did just that, it was a total game changer for me, she made me look great! I've had a pretty bad case of gynecomastia (in my eyes) for the past 10 years and I was extremely nervous that no doctor would be able to deliver the results the way I wanted. I searched for about 3 years looking for an experienced and affordable doctor in the riverside area. Once I was able to move forward financially I stumbled upon Dr. Hardesty from the RealSelf website and found he has a great understanding of gynecomastia and the fact he has been practicing for 35+ years! My experience is with Botox by the RN's. I have been getting Botox for 15 years from a dermatologist who has always done a good job and is very detailed, but has no personality, so I decided to try elsewhere. The RN's that do the Botox at this office are very nice, but my Botox results were less than satisfactory. My eyelids appeared heavy and I lost my high arch after the 1st treatment. After 2 weeks, I went back to express my issues and get a touch up. I am still left with a flatter brow arch than what I had before and heavy, uneven eyelids due to the brow drop. The touch up didn't fix it either. Very disappointed that I paid money to look more tired after the Botox, when normally I looked refreshed. They definitely weren't as detailed as to the Botox placement as my other Doctor, who actually marks it on a facial diagram that he keeps in my file, so he knows where he injected and where to adjust if needed. On a positive, the RN's are down to earth and the Botox is a reasonable price, although I'm willing to pay more for a better result. read more

I had two ruptured old generation silicone implants from the eighties. After 27 years they were thrashed. Silicone from one implant migrated into my upper muscle and surrounding tissue. This created a reactionary tumor the size of four golf balls. Anytime time a tumor this size is removed it carries a significant risk. Blood loss and a host of other complications. Being a completive dancer and a bodybuilder I was also concerned how much muscle would be removed. Would I ever be the same again? Yes, the thought of all this was creeping me out. Safety, experience and results was parliament. My job was to find the best surgeon I could and the rest would be up to him. I made my A-list for a top doctor and then I researched for hours on the Internet and found Dr Hardesty. The first thing I wanted to know is if he had any peer reviewed publications in print. That is the signature of a knowledgeable doctor. He did and it is quite an impressive portfolio. Additionally his CV reads like the who's who for surgical procedures. It is quite the catalog. In addition he served as the Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University (LLU). He taught top elite doctors with thriving practices their surgical methods and techniques. He is the founder of the first nationally accredited and integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program at LLU. He founded and is president of the Calif. Society of Plastic Surgeons. And my most important discovery, based on the feedback from his patients on the Internet, he is loved and valued not only as a doctor but as a human being. Based on research evidence, I was convinced. I made my appointment. When the day came, Dr. Hardesty took the time to explain my options. I have to say, the guy knows his stuff. But the thing that really stood out and struck me about Dr. Hardesty is how approachable he is. He is a down-to-earth guy with super-doc abilities. I shared with him my concerns about losing function in my arm due to the silicone that had invaded my muscle and it needed to be cut out. He assured me that he would do everything possible to minimize muscle loss. I had the surgery. The ruptured implants, scar tissue and tumor was removed. In recovery Dr. Hardesty told me that he was able to preserve the muscle and removed less than one percent of it! I have no clue how he was able to pull that off but I am grateful. I had complete and immediate access to Dr. Hardesty and his staff at all times. They are a knowledgeable and empathic team. And just in case I had grave concerns about the recovery process, he gave me his cell number. He even asked me to see him on a Saturday to make sure things were going well. And, the night before surgery I got an unexpected call from Dr. Hardesty in case I had any last minute questions. I had some pre-surgery gitters , but after hearing his voice and the fact that he took the time to check in on me, well, I felt a lot less anxious. What kind of doctor these days makes a house call before surgery? None that I've ever experienced. That is service. With Dr. Hardesty and team, it is not just about medicine but about the humanistic component - the whole person. As of this writing it has been six weeks since surgery.
