After researching pool tables for several weeks I wasn't sure whether to buy a new or used table. At first I was looking to buy an Olhausen, Brunswick, or American Heritage, as these appeared to be the better manufacturers of pool tables. These brands however, were a little out of my price for new. I had seen Kingdom Billiards advertising their pool tables online and decided to give them a visit. Upon visiting the showroom Josh the owner was very helpful. I explained that I was looking at either a new or used table. Josh was more than happy to provide the pro vs cons of both. He was never pushy and I was actually surprised that he was willing to offer the advice on buying a used table. This wasn't something I would have expected from someone hoping to sell their own product. I looked at several models Kingdom Billiard's sells and decided on the King Elrond. The construction of Kingdom Billiard's pool tables is equal or superior to the named brand tables. The material used is very similar but the hardware is better, all this at the price I would have paid for a used name brand. Payment was very easy, as was installation. Josh was very accommodating throughout the entire process. I have now owned the pool table five months and I am still very happy with my purchase. I am always getting compliments on how beautiful the table looks and the quality. I would highly recommend anyone buying a pool table, to buy one of Kingdom Billiard's pool tables over a named brand. Last week I purchased the dining table top to cover my pool table. Although I purchased my pool table five months ago, Josh offered a discount price on the dining table top as I had purchased a pool table. I inquired last Wednesday about the dining top and wanted it before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately Josh was going out of town for the weekend, but told me he would leave the dining top at the moving company next door and invoiced me later. I recently purchased a pool table thru Imagine that and I couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience with a local business. Josh and Katie gave incredible customer service with a smile. My son and I had been playing on a wood surface, fairly cheap table for a number of years. I decided to purchase a slate surface table that also would add to the "look" in the front room. Recently purchased the 7' Alpha Walnut and couldn't be happier with it. The service from the start was top notch. I went to the showroom to look around and Josh walked me through everything to consider when purchasing a pool table... even to the extent of taking me into the warehouse to show me the slate and difference between standard billiard balls and the Ambassador set they sell. From that point on, all communication was done via email and phone call... even when placing the order. I asked that the installers bring out 4 different color felts so we could see what would go with the room (selected charcoal and the color of the table with charcoal is perfect). The installation went smooth and finished in about 3 hours. Once complete, the installers also walked us (myself and wife) through how to maintain the felt, along with what cleaners to use and not use on the table itself. I shopped around quite a bit for a pool table and its not even close as to the level service I received from Imagine That Pool Tables to the other shops I visited. The care and service which we receive at Kingdom Billiards is exceptional. After having our pool table for about 6 months, we noticed that the thread on one of the pool que grips was beginning to unwind. We called Imagine That Pool Tables explaining the problem. Josh promptly invited us to come back to the store and told us that he would gladly replace our que with one or two other ques. He not only did this, but he replaced them with much better upgraded ones. He asked us if there were any other problems with the table and we told him that we were having a difficulty racking the balls. So he immediately called his installer and he set up an appointment for the following day. Upon the installer's inspection, it was found that the rack was the problem. Josh gave us a rack while we were there which worked perfectly. We would like to thank Josh for the excellent service and standing by any kind of troubles that we had. I had a awesome experience; Josh is very knowledgeable and just fantastic to work with; This is not your typical showroom where the sales people come and go, work on commission and are in general high pressure with little knowledge. This was so simple; Walk in, see a few tables, pick out some colors and set up delivery, done. Josh knew the answer to every question i had, took the time to show me the granite they use, all of the felts and options. The prices were better than anywhere else i went and the freebies kept adding up. Free kit, 2 extra free sticks, free outdoor cover etc. Delivery and install was pretty reasonable too. I live in Tracy and i think it was only $250 for delivery and install. I mean that's a 2hr 130mi drive each way, plus 3 hours to install it for $250? I considered that a bargain. He has won my business, that is for sure and i tell every one in the market for a pool table to talk to him first. I plan on going back and getting benches for my table as it converts into a dining table when not in use. read more

This was an experience that started off great and stayed that way all the way through. First, Josh agreed to meet us on a weekend day, which was needed due to work schedules. Once there, he showed us every table we might want to see and answered all our questions. Never was there a hard sell approach, never did we feel that we were being forced into anything we didn't want. We could have left, having not purchased a table, and I'm sure Josh would have thanked us for coming! This is the guy you want to buy your pool table from. Once we made the purchase, the delivery and setup were scheduled; the folks showed up exactly when they were supposed to, were very courteous and careful not to bang into walls, etc. The table looks great and plays well. All in all, not a single bad experience. Honestly, Josh's customer service at Imagine That Pool Tables is so good that if I could give 10 Yelp Stars it wouldn't be enough. I hesitate to provide details on the great deal we got, the personal service calls to home and work to drop off items, the responsiveness to emails and coming in on weekends to show the tables, etc. because I wouldn't want Josh to keel over from all his hard work. There is no better person to buy from and from time spent shopping for tables, no tables of greater quality, especially at Josh's prices. Honestly, don't bother going to any other shop in the Sacramento area (I've been there), head down to meet Josh and make a selection from the variety of table styles, colors, sizes, etc. - you won't regret it. Josh was great! I told him how much I had to spend and he gave me options. I had one son with me and was thinking he would try to pressure me into more than I could afford because I had a teen boy with me. But Josh was very careful in his verbiage and went out of his way to show and explain everything to us. The installation was great as well. I showed them where I wanted it, they asked a couple of questions regarding placement. Then said they would let me know when they were done. I was impressed, they took all the boxes and packing material with them too. They also explain to us how to care for the table and cues. This was what I call a big ticket item for our family.
