I called Pool Table Pros and everyone I talked or texted with was so professional. Chris got me a quote and quickly scheduled me an appointment the next week. The cost was right where I guesstimated and researched so I thought it was fair for a move and installation from Oakland to Stockton.in between I got nice reminders in case I needed to make changes or had questions. On the day of the appointment Jacob texted me when they were on their way to the pickup with an ETA. Did I mention the pickup location was in a high rise around the lake on the 15th floor!! They arrived at my home and They took their time installing and did double checks that it was level. Payment was easy peasy and I was hitting balls instead of working from home by 3pm! I am extremely pleased with Pool Table pros and will definitely use them for maintenance and any other moves. I highly suggest you do too! My husband decided he wanted a pool table, but since we aren't pros nor rich we found one on offer up. Easy enough. Now comes the tricky part - moving the thing. Not tricky at all if you have mike and his team and pool table taxi do the job! It was a slam dunk! (I know, wrong sport!) I looked on yelp for various companies and shot out messages for quotes. This company should NOT be in business. Do NOT use this business. Their customer service and service in general is absolutely unreal!!! Where should I even begin? First, see the photo of how they "leveled" the pool table. Are you fricking kidding me?!!! Who the hell does that? We checked to see if it was even after the two guys left when they said they had triple checked it...it was about 3 inches off :( really? so we went to move it over and yep, playing cards and pieces of broken wood holding up the table. Oh and they didn't show up until 6:30pm on a Friday on Memorial Day weekend and were here until 10pm when they were supposed to show up at noon. This was all after they had been over a week before attempting to set it up when they cut the felt wrong. Yep. They said they were coming back the next day. Never showed/called. We called five plus times with assurance that they were coming back and finally showed up a week later. Pool table taxi is horrible. HORRIBLE. No idea how they are in business. We were also told the owner was going to come out himself. He didn't. There were also LOTS of nails and staples left on our brand new wood floors. WOW is all I can say. Where do I start!!??? Wow. Horrible customer service. From the first phone call with the rude lady on the phone to the last call with the owner in the background cussing at me like I'm his worst enemy!! My pool table was delivered in a huge box on a pallet. I took my pool table home to be installed by Pool table taxi. The 2 guys arrived and started installing my table. (They were good, very kind). They got to installing the table and realized there was no slate. Wow that's a bummer the shipping company didn't deliver my slate. No their fault. I get a call from the lady that runs their office saying I am going to owe them money for the inconvenience. Okay I'm good with that... Wasn't there fault my slate didn't show up. And I didn't purposely have them show up with no slate available. So no harm, no foul so far. I hear Mike "the owner" in the background cussing at me and saying how I owed him money. He also threw a fit about having to come back out to my house. Mike relax, I'm willing to pay for the inconvenience. Oh no. He continues to fly off the handle and cuss. So that phone call ended with the office staff gal agreeing with how bad mike was talking and treating me bad. She stated she would get me back on the install schedule and call me later in the next week. Today I get a call and the first thing she says was she is going to refer me to someone else to install my table. They don't want to do business with me. So you take my money, take my old pool table I was giving you guy, (shame on me) and call me to say it's better off we go different ways with business. The best part is they blamed me for being the difficult one! I suggest to anyone and everyone stay away! They also made a big deal about paying them cash... Hhhmmm I wonder why?!?? Truly excellent service. I purchased a used table online and Mike and Nick went and dismantled the table, transported it to my house and set it up in my home. The distance they traveled was pretty far, almost 200 miles one way, not many people will go that far. The communication was great the whole time. They arrived on time and got the table ready for transport in a timely manner. The table arrived at my home in perfect condition and they got right to setting it up. Helped move boxes the seller had stacked around the table in their garage then carefully dismantled the table, wrapping each section in cloth. Install at my home covered things I didn't even think of: measured from each wall to recommend best placement, used multiple levels, asked which direction I wanted the felt reattached for shooting. The day of the actual pool table moved, we were given a phone call ETA and Michael and Ryan showed up on time... These two guys did an excellent job! They spent so much time taking up our pool table carefully apart as well as reassembling it way better than it was even assembled before... They made sure our table aligned perfectly & even took the time to remove ugly staples out of our leather pocket holes and finish them nicely with adhesive ... Needless to say our pool table looks way better than it ever did before the move. You can definitely tell these guys know what they are doing! They did a good job of moving the table. Price was a little high, and I was in a bind on time frame so I chose them to move the table and do the repairs. The work was done thorough and complete. You get what you pay for, I just found the repair to be a little expensive especially after calling and receiving price quotes for what was repaired. Tried for over two weeks to get them to move my pool table. They were so unprofessional its amazing they're still in business. After taking time off of work so that I could fit into their schedule, they cancelled at the last minute. They then did that two more times, each time claiming a "family emergency." Finally found another great pool table mover who came out the very next day and did a beautiful job. Having asked around, I also learned that they're not very professional in their work just like their scheduling. Unbelievable? So frustrating. How does a company stay in business when it is run so poorly? I would strongly suggest that you look for a more reputable company than this one. I just hate to reward such incompetence, which is why we finally went to another company. read more

Honestly this is the worst small business I have ever dealt with. They have wasted so much of my time. They have used excuses that range from "being so busy we can't get to you" to his kids are sick. I can understand being put off once but honestly this was the fifth time they rescheduled me to re-felt my table and they were the one who offered to do it for free after they scratched my new floors on a simple move. Very please with Pool Table Taxi. Amy who handles all the coordinating did a great job from the start. She researched the felt we bought from an online distributor and made sure they new what they were going to be working with. They gave us a price we could accept for re-felting only. Table was already installed and moved. Only the slate needed to be set. Once the guys came to start, they recommended we replace the cushions. The table we received from a friend and not familiar with the history and the cushions were apparently hard. We also put a lot of money into buying JackDaniels black label felt and they wanted us to be satisfied with the final product. Two days later (July 4th) the day of our party, Mike (the owner) and his partner came back to finish the job. They did a fantastic job and just had to break it in and play a couple games lol. While finishing up they have their recommendations in where to place the table so we had room all the way around. Also told us we could get new pockets online pretty cheap and they would be happy to come back and install them. Table is DONE! Looks amazing and all our friends love it. Definitely recommending these guys to our friends who need pool table work. read more

Awesome movers, I called on a Friday and they were able to squeeze me in the next day due to my urgency of the move. Very clean, very fast, and very affordable. They laid out moving mats when breaking down so that nothing fell onto the carpet and vacuumed up before leaving. On top of everything else they had the best prices out of everyone I called.
