My friends and I have been here several times and it's always a fun time. The bartenders are friendly and chill, there's a large area for playing pool or enjoying your food and drinks and an entire back room with games, pinball and more tables and chairs. There is a bar in the front room and a 2nd bar in the back but I'm not sure if they use that one since I usually go at slower times and there hasn't been a bartender at the 2nd one. I love that they have TVs; I've come here a few times for drinks and seeing the Kings game while hanging with my friends was a nice surprise. Some friends and I go to Henry's Lounge on wednesdays for Trivia with Trevor. I always look forward to the wide selection of drinks on tap , cocktail specials as well as their dollar wings. This is a festive neighborhood bar with an ample back room filled with couches, video games, pinball and wide screen tvs. The main bar room is a little bit more dense with a large bar, pool tables and seating. Between dollar wings and trivia night, Wednesdays are always packed.But the staff and owner are friendly, services is fast and there's a great atmosphere. I'll start by acknowledging my heavy bias. I'm an Arsenal supporter, and Henry's Lounge hosts watch parties for our local Arsenal supporters group. That said, I've been coming here for years, and the bartenders are always super friendly and on top of things. It's a long bar top, and they manage it impressively well. From a bar perspective, what's not to love? Arcade games in the back, TouchTunes, several pool tables, and tons of TVs. The atmosphere is classic dive bar, but not janky. It's clean, charming, and modern with being pretentious. All that aside, the food is fantastic. I've had breakfast here at 6am during Arsenal matches and late-night fried bites drunk as a skunk at 11pm, and it always hits the spot. So it was about time I wrote a review. We ordered 2 Guinness, poured properly and served in the correct Guinness glasses. Yes, it's tragic that American pints are smaller than British ones. For food, we got the ribeye cheesesteak with fries and the tempura cauliflower. The cheesesteak was excellent. The bread was soft with a nice sear that kept it sturdy, the cheese was perfectly gooey without being greasy, and the ribeye had a great beefy flavor. It was so big I had to take half home. Their fries are always a win, hand-cut and perfect with ranch. The tempura cauliflower is a solid snack too. A bit heavy at times, but great with the sriracha aioli. Went for $1 wings and trivia on Wednesday. Wings were delicious, beer was cold and the a/c was blasting. The vibes were surprisingly family friendly which was relaxing and welcome. We used to frequent Henry's a lot but sadly that has changed. While it's great they have gained a ton of customers over the year or so we stopped coming so often, it's no longer the fun chill spot because it's so packed. Pool went from $1 a game with a $5 option for bulk games to only $2 a game which is crazy. I can understand surge pricing on a weekend but a dull Monday is doing too much. I do appreciate the new pool sticks and 3rd table added to the back arcade room. One big turn off this last visit is the door person. Not a big deal they ask for everyone's ID at the door but my friend wanted to step out front quickly to take a hit of her puff and the door person was irritated she didn't bring her entire purse with her so she could check her ID again just to put half her body out the door to take a quick puff. Stopped by on a Friday night with my friends. Henry's Lounge is all that you would expect from the outside and more. It is dimly lit, super loud, and definitely overstimulating; however, the array of games they have makes it a great hang! Updating to reflect some more recent experiences there. The food, atmosphere and service are all still great overall. However, I've noticed a few strange things that were slightly annoying. I was there the other day and ordered a mystery chef's choice special that was their daily special and later that day they got rid of the mystery special and just put a bunch of items myself and a buddy of mine got earlier but lowered the prices. So I wasn't a fan of paying more earlier than others who saved money just an hour or two later. Also thought it was strange that they'd rather play music in the front of the house when a PPV was on and would only turn the sound on in the back with the arcade. Still going to frequent this business but felt a little burned spending over 10 bucks more on food than I had to simply because they decided to lower prices less than an hour after I already ordered on certain items. read more

Henry's lounge has the best pickle fries. The portion is huge and you can get it cheaper during their happy hour. They have a photo booth and a retro arcade in the back, and sometimes host karaoke nights. The foods here is pretty salty but it pairs well with drinks. Bartenders have always been super nice. Came here with a group of friends to watch the season opener for the Kings and The TNF game. I do miss the original Henry's, which was a legitimate Dive bar full of colorful regulars. This location is across town but fortunately Linda the bartender moved with them, she is a gem! On this occasion I'd already eaten dinner but got Tater Tots for the table, they were a generous portion and nicely crispy. The bartenders were attentive and the drinks were made well. We also grabbed a couple of bucket specials for $20 and your choice of beer or seltzers. They seem to have a good amount of beers in tap. Went for trivia night. It's a little loud, but it was a good atmosphere. Barkeep was friendly (photographic memory, apparently). I had the Old School Cheeseburger, which was good. My date had the Cubano Quesadilla, which sounded really good, but it was somewhere between meh and bleh, for both of us. The tots were extra fluffy, like a perfectly cooked french fry. There are a lot of amusements all around, and it might be fun to return on another night to play them. read more

Henry's is back. Completely different feel than the old location. I have had more fun here since it became Henry's. There's so much to do! AND there are arcade games in the back! That's how you keep me a habitual visitor. Always happy to have a Pac Man or X-men vs. Street Fighter in my neighborhood. They also have live music, local sports meetups, trivia, and open mic nights. Last night a group of us came in for Wednesday trivia back to back with open mic. Trivia started at 6:30, and open mic at 8:30. It was fantastic and I would come back and do it again! I'm a useless facts machine. The food situation is more than I expected. They have a full menu for evenings and a lunch menu too. Happy Hour is M-F, from 4 to 7 pm. $4 drinkies and $5 snacks! I was satisfied at the vegetarian options, but there is not much for a vegan unless that vegan likes pickles and nachos sans cheese. I liked my gigantic nacho pile. Four people needed to share it with me. Props for the Pickle Situation, btw. You can do a Dickel n Pickle pickleback shot on Happy Hour for $5! There's also a pickle sampler on HH with four different brines. I was not feeling as salty as usual (heh) so did not opt for any pickle save for one Dickel pickleback we did in memory of our beloved friend Joe K. This is a great spot to catch a game as there are many big TVs. If there are a bunch of noisy sports fans in the front room, you could try to play games or hang out in the back room. Or opposite. I have found sound doesn't travel too much between the two unless it's packed. There's a hallway in between the two with bathrooms. There are pinball machines, classic arcade games, fighting arcade games, racing games, skee ball, basketball, and two air hockey tables in the back arcade room. One of the air hockey tables has a scoop angle and I am intrigued and kinda afraid to try that one day soon lolZ. There's a bar in the back room too, but I've only seen it open for events when it is a full house. Service is good and has a similar vibe to the old Henry's location. About the only thing that reminds me of it. That and the various signs behind the main bar. Funny signs are funny. Happy to have a spot nearby with better vibes than OT, with many things to keep my ADHD brain busy. Henry's Rulez. First time to Henry's Lounge since they moved from 9th and L a few years back. It was just like the original location. Decent service and reasonably priced drinks, while being generous with the alcohol. I got a Jameson and Coke and the Jameson was over halfway before he put in the coke. The new spot is definitely an upgrade since they have a pool table along with arcade games towards the back. The lounge is surrounded by TVs playing either the football , basketball, or baseball game. Parking can get tricky since it is mostly street parking. Would have honestly given a 5/5 because this has been a go to midtown bar for me every time I am in Sacramento I enjoy a bar with well priced drinks and arcade in the bar and this was back in 2021, now in 2025 I am a big darts fan and this is one of the only bars in midtown with bull shooters. The bar staff is excellent and prices are fantastic; but the security guard outside is a complete arsehole I believe his name was Shane he had two sleeves and a spider web on his elbow. When I stepped out of the bar from my darts game to smoke the group he was with which had an Asian guy and a girl who were very nice saw me leave and told me where to get cigarettes up the street when coming back after 4 minutes he refused to let us inside without scanning our ID's again even though he saw us leave. While doing so he cursed at me and my girlfriend, degraded us and overall made rude remarks to my girlfriend and myself. Honestly fighting words... but I am above that at this point in my life. The front room is a sports bar, with everything you'd normally expect from a sports bar, like lots of TVs playing all kinds of games, a couple of pool tables, a huge bar area, and a couple of dining tables. Pool was $2 a game, or 3 games for $5. We opted to play three games. One of the dining tables was a little too close to the pool table, which seemed to bother my date, but I didn't care... We went to check out the back room, which was an arcade with another small bar in it. Neither of us had ever seen a curved air hockey table before, and it was only $1 a game, so of course we had to play a couple of games. Although we didn't order anything to eat or drink, I noticed that the prices were really decent. All of the arcade games were cheap, too, ranging from a quarter to a dollar to play. I frequent Henry's quite a bit because it's low key and rarely crowded (unless they have some kind of fight night event) and their food is pretty decent. They have 2 pool tables, 2 dart boards, a handful of arcade games and an electronic beer pong. Only thing im not a fan of is that they close early. Most bars are open until 2am but here they close at 1am and if it's super dead they will close even earlier. read more

I came here with a group a couple weeks ago for a Niners game. The place smelled like weed and cigarettes, likely from keeping the door open when people are smoking outside but it was unpleasant. Drinks are overpriced and not a lot of beer options on tap. Food selection was limited. They wouldn't offer anything on their late night menu even for an up charge therefore only had options of quesadilla, wings, burger or Cesar wrap. Our table got all of which and none of was good. They also don't serve the tables, so you have to go up to bar to order even if seated at the table and it is always a wait. The bathrooms were pretty trashed as well, which not sure if normal. While we were there we had a friend join us and he had to stand in line until people left since they said they were at capacity. Just overall not somewhere I'd frequent. read more

Great spot where the old Alley Katz was. They eliminated the bench seating, a plus in my book, and added tons of big HD TVs along the wall. Service has also dramatically improved!
