    Awesome halo halo
    Mille C.

Halo halo is a Filipino shaved iced dessert. Other southeast Asian countries and beyond (cendol, bingsu and falooda to name just a few) seem to have their own versions. Ima's Kusina has the best version of halo halo in Seafood City's food court. Love their ice. It shaved super fine into a huge mound. Other places don't have ice so fine and it definitely affects the eating experience of finished dessert negatively. Ima's also has the best garnishes. They almost have the perfect mix of toppings. Theirs includes red and green gelatin, shredded fresh coconut, nata de coco (aka coconut jelly), sweet jackfruit, real ube, puffed rice and ube ice cream. Missed the sweet red beans, kaong (aka sugar palm fruit) and leche flan. They added the evaporated milk but seemed to skip the condensed milk. Frankly didn't miss it. Everything else was sweet enough. Today's weather was overcast, cold and windy but the cold dessert was so good. Can't wait to get it when the weather heats up. Bet it would be even better.

I think Ima's Kusina serves the best halo-halo in the East Bay! It's big, extravagant, and at least 1000 calories. Yes, each calorie is worth it. I haven't had any other food here, but I am sure it's more than decent. Auntie Ima's got your back (your stomach) for when that Filipino food craving arises.

The best halo halo in the bay area is Ima's kusina, this halo halo is overloaded with yummy ingredients,it actually took me two days to finish the whole thing,i think three people can share this one order of halo halo. The lady who prepared this is very nice e and friendly, they have so much delicacies to choose from and ambiance is just ok because there's so many tables and chairs around to enjoy your treat.

Very friendly staff! My review is only for the Halo Halo...it's the best and most authentic in the food court! Real cassava, Leche flan, and ube. Huge portion that you can share.

My favorites: pansit bihon, relyenong bangus (milkfish) and their halo-halo. Some food are salty for me.

Paksiw na lechon and their adobong baboy are the best dishes that they have. Service was really fast and the prices are reasonable.

Amazing Filipino food perfect for our wedding reception!…read more This is what we ordered for our wedding reception: pork sisig, chopsuey, pancit canton, chicken adobo, laing, sweet and sour fish, chicken lumpia, pork menudo, and white rice. Everything was delicious! Nothing was too oily or salty. Most of our guests were Filipino but even my non-Filipino friends who haven't tried a lot of Filipino dishes yet enjoyed the food. The medium trays were the perfect size for our party of 35. The only thing I regret is not convincing my then fiancé to order more lumpia! 50 lumpia ran out so quick I didn't get to taste one. That's OK though because I plan to come in person to order the lumpia! We did have leftovers after the reception, even after people took some to go. The leftovers reheated well and I ate them for my work lunches. Jane was our point of contact. We exchanged emails and text messages. We sent our order via email and Jane emailed us an estimate. We then paid for our order in person. We paid for delivery and they had all the food delivered to our reception. They communicated with our point person for our reception venue. In person, Jane was friendly. It did take some time for us to hear back via email, but Jane always responded fast through text. If you're looking for Filipino food catering, I highly recommend going with Lutong Bahay!

You can't go wrong with silogs. They are always good! I will probably go back and order online, I don't recommend walk in order, it takes awhile. I will try other items on their menu. The prices are decent.

I ordered the 3-combo plate with lumpia, adobo wings, lechon kawali, and adobo rice. The flavors were all there, especially on the meats. If I had one suggestion, it would be texture: the lechon kawali and wings could be a bit crispier, and the rice was slightly on the softer side. Small tweaks that could really elevate the dishes. It's more of a grab-and-go spot with limited seating, but the service is warm and friendly, exactly what you hope for at a Filipino restaurant.
