Today in Dallas, the weather was exceptionally cold! I sat in the chair and Mary knew that the water was cold and proceeded to pour it on my head. I said it was cold and let's wait for the hot water to come through. She then said ok for maybe 10 seconds.. then she proceeded with the cold water again .. I told her it was still tooooo cold and let's wait a little more and she said she can't wait. I was forced to have my hair washed in cold water! I was not happy. My shirt was wet and she said it's because I moved! No I moved because the freezing cold water shocked me!!! She'd asked if I wanted deep conditioning and I said NO!! Thank God I said No, because my hair would have been a 100 dollars .Cheap shampoo and conditioner for a total of 70 whole dollars! While I said blow dry just the my roots , she blew dried my whole hair and burned me 4x and have the nerve to ask me what's wrong??????? My scalp is on fire and burning... that's what's wrong.. She couldn't even apologize when I said that...Then said she told me that she told me the price would be 70 dollars.... That was a whole lie!! She never told me it would be 70 dollars! Then I looked online and people said it could turn green. So I shared on fb and a friend told me to check out Pascale. I looked at her Yelp reviews and saw the great one from Taylor C. about color correction. So first thing Tuesday I called. After hearing about the tragedy of my hair Pascale said she could get me in today (Wed). I figured if she couldn't fix it I would just cut it off and start over. Thankfully that didn't have to happen. First off, her salon suite is clean, decorated adorably, and she is so welcoming and personable. She expressed that she likes the challenge of color correction but that mine was some of the worst she's seen (story of my life). Needless to say, she gave me suggestions of what she could do. She did an AMAZING job. She restored me back to a great base color then added the highlights and lowlights I wanted. I LOVE my hair now. Love it! Pascale is my hair person from now on. I did not realize what a treasure I had until I had to go to another shop. In January, one of my daughters was getting married and I headed to Hair Focus a day before the wedding. On the door, a sign said "on vacation". Darn. So, needing the hair cut, I went down the street to Floyds barber shop. Do NOT go there! A bunch of tattoed, pierced kids (some looked like they were in high school) who don't have a clue how to cut hair. How much? $34!!!!! Looking forward to going back to Hair Focus. I should have known Marquisia Norton was an independent hair dresser about her money only and nothing else when she charged me $140 for 30 straight back cornrows (but I had already cancelled my other appointment because again she insisted she was the better choice). If mama never told me anything about following my gut instinct boy oh boy did my hard head make a soft ass.. (BEFORE I BEGIN ANY PERSON WHO HAS HAD BRAIDS BEFORE KNOWS 30 CORNROWS IS NOTHING MORE THAN 2 HOURS)(IF THAT) Marquisia Norton scheduled me for 9a, but called the morning of rescheduling for 11a "it was her clients fault" Marquisia Norton is terrible with accepting responsibility (her boss got on her head during my experience about her organization skills with something about the shop, she proceeded to talk about how the boss needs to relax and so forth...failing to realize the reason she was being scolded about using other peoples chairs is because she needed to be organized with her clients in general..I digress.... I showed up at 10:47a to make sure the the hairdresser had plenty of time to get me in...but she was not even halfway done with the person in her chair. After sitting WAITING for 55 minutes, Marquisia Norton at last sat me in the chair. It was not until around 3p that I had about 5-7 braids done..... She walked away and began working on another client that she irresponsibly scheduled. She had been running around doing and talking to everyone eating cupcakes and so forth, yet it had been four hours and I was not even a mile close to being done. I had to plead that she get off the other persons head because I had been in there all day and was ready to get things ROLLING. 7p rolled around and she finally was done. Marquisia Norton did not offer a discount for me being in the shop literally ALL day, my hair lasted for a week and six days, and oh yeah IF SHE TELLS YOU THAT SHE DOES GUARANTEE MONEY BACK IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED, RUN THE OTHER WAY WITH YOUR MONEY. Jamie Gallant is the owner who I have sent messages to, called a good three times, as well as sent pictures to (as I was getting my hair done she too raved about how she is all about customer service)..I hope soon she can return my call of unsatisfactory...but if not my Yelp! review can for sure be a warning to the next person who contemplating spending money here...

Quiet convenient location with loads of parking outside. Be Careful: Police Speed Trap directly across from this strip mall, preying on the customers looking for the address. I was slowing to make the turn, following my GPS and the police came across from the adjacent strip mall and cited me. Not related to my services, but be careful of the speed trap. Somewhere a donut is being spared while I'm being delayed from spending my hard earned dollars in the community.

She had a dirty towel with false lashes all over it. Picked a few off and told me to lay my head down on it. Disgusting. Also, it was hot in her room so she had me laying there holding a battery operated lil fan to my face the whole time. Really? 4. That same night a few lashes fell off. I texted her asking if this is normal? She replied, "no. Dang it!". So I waited to see if she will reply back with a resolution. Nothing. Finally I texted and asked if she can squeeze me in. She finally replied and said she'll check her calendar and let me know. Nope, nothing. After a week of waiting and lashes falling off daily, I asked for a refill and still she's giving me the round around. Let's just say that was the last straw from me. I contacted Groupon and they refunded my full amount. Bottom line: do not go to her.
