The salon is new so definitely check her out but the proof is in the pudding! My hair is super silky and soft. The service was quick. I arrived and went straight to the wash seat. The girl that washed my hair and did the roller set was super sweet and we chatted a bunch but she was thorough in washing and did the roller set very neatly and quickly. Jany finished styling me and i LOVE my hair. Disclaimer, the price was higher than I expected so it may limit my frequency but when I need my hair straightened or want to give the curls a rest, I'm going here. I'd recommend her to everyone.

No big deal I'll catch up on reading. I had my consultation and she went to work. She gave me a perm and cut. It turned out ok. Not the best I've had but she still did a good job. I told her my goal was to eventually lighten my hair and when should I come back. She told me to book for 2 weeks. I returned and she had bleach put in my hair that she permed 2 weeks prior. Not color but bleach! I didn't know what it was when it was initially being applied by her assistant. I should have walked out when the assistant asked 2x if that was what she wanted to put in my hair without saying what it was. My hair now has thinning and has not grown back healthy as it once was. I spent almost $500 in 2 weeks only to have missing patches of hair that turned to straw. After my service her instructions were to make sure I get my protein treatments. Long story short ALL of my hair started to fall out within a week. By week two I had significant loss. I messaged her and instead of taking responsibility she proceeded by protecting herself by saying "I told you this probably wasn't a good idea." THAT WAS A FLAT OUT LIE! She is the professional why would I tell her what to do after being told it would damage my hair. She told me to book 2 weeks out. Better question is, why would she do it if she knew it wasn't a good idea?! Plain and simple GREED! Yes, I made sure to get a protein treatment but was told my hair was dead and needed to be cut all off. The only reason she was not sued is because of my barber Noah who said I should pray for her and chalk it up to a bad experience. His thought was not to destroy her business or reputation. I tried to let it go. I am all for supporting black businesses but SOME black business owners need to do better. The greed, the attitudes, and the over inflated prices need to be addressed. Today in Dallas, the weather was exceptionally cold! I sat in the chair and Mary knew that the water was cold and proceeded to pour it on my head. I said it was cold and let's wait for the hot water to come through. She then said ok for maybe 10 seconds.. then she proceeded with the cold water again .. I told her it was still tooooo cold and let's wait a little more and she said she can't wait. I was forced to have my hair washed in cold water! I was not happy. My shirt was wet and she said it's because I moved! No I moved because the freezing cold water shocked me!!! She'd asked if I wanted deep conditioning and I said NO!! Thank God I said No, because my hair would have been a 100 dollars .Cheap shampoo and conditioner for a total of 70 whole dollars! While I said blow dry just the my roots , she blew dried my whole hair and burned me 4x and have the nerve to ask me what's wrong??????? My scalp is on fire and burning... that's what's wrong..
