So happy I found a new 5-star nail salon closer to home. My former nail lady suddenly quit and shut down permanently to due COVID. I did extensive research on FB, Google and Yelp and made a list of new nail salons to try, along with highly recommended nail techs. Castle Hills Lash & Nail was first on my list! I called and scheduled appointments for myself and a girlfriend. I requested Amy and Tiffany for my friend. I'm quite particular when it comes to the right neutral pink shades of dip powder and shape of my nails. I should Amy some pics and she nailed it! My gf loved her gel manicure with Tiffany. They were professional, attentive and caring. The salon was so clean and with extra measures in lance due to COVID. We were asked to wash our hands immediately after walking in, then we were seated spaced apart. The owner then placed a plexiglass screen between myself and the nail tech and offered me a ton of color options to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised to find the exact shade of dip powder I've used for years at my former salon! Amy checked with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with my nails. She was meticulous and even gave me a hand/arm massage through the plexiglass! :) The bathrooms were exceptionally clean as well and I observed all customers spaced apart with nail techs and customers wearing masks. Super disappointed in my nails. I got a French gel pedicure which came out great. I asked for dipped French on my hands and it was not good. The shape of the nails were fine but the actual French part was horrendous. It was not even at all and there's still product left of my skin. I asked the girl to fix my left thumb nail and the white part is twice as thick as the other thumb. read more

I keep getting my review deleted because Yelp doesn't believe that I got my lashes done here because it is a "nail salon" but it literally says in the name "Castle Hills LASH & Nail" So, clearly, if you read the name, they do offer eyelash services. I came here to get my lashes done around early August of 2024. I immediately posted a review on here and Google Maps (then they kept deleting it and I kept reposting it.) If you go to Google Maps and filter it "lowest" or "one star" you will find my review there talking about how my eye was injured here. I called Yelp to tell them that my experience was real and I have the eye injury to prove it, but they said that there is nothing they can do to keep my post up and just to make sure that I mention "nails" so the moderators will believe me. So, "I got my nails done here and they were awful, this nail salon is awful." When I got my eye injury due to the lash extentions, but for the sake of not getting my post taken down, we are going to call my eyelashes "nails," then the woman brought in a different woman and switched languages to talk about how she injured me, but they thought that I didn't understand, but I study Linguistics so I did. Anyway, looking back, I should have asked for my money back. But I was so focused on trying to heal my "nails" and my vision was distorted to the point that I had to stay in bed for DAYS, well, I didn't ask for it back because I was still in shock. I absolutely am astonished at the way it took 3 hours to do a french tip and cost me 89 dollars without tip. I can in on Sunday June 29th of 2025 at 12 pm (noon) i did not leave till 2:58. I asked for a french tip with the color being blue instead of white and everything was fine until I had to EXPLAIN HOW TO DO A FRENCH TIP because she was just going to leave a blob of pain on my nails. Then they proceeded to charge me 89 to 90 dollars when everywhere else it's 55 including the 10 dollar extension, and proceeded to charge me for having to shape my nails as that is part of their job. They are overcharging for things that are part of their job to do and they learn in cosmetology school. On top of all of this she took the the oil and spilled it all over my hands to where i got oil eveywhere. The nails are also crooked and not filed properly into a coffin shape instead of whatever they wanted. This place is absolutely disappointing and ridiculous. read more

I use to go here alot. In fact, I went here faithfully for over a year until my most recent experience. They hired a new nail tech who did a horrible job. Check out the pictures. I paid over $130 for my dip nails and gel feet only for them to look like this. When it was time to pay I spoke with the manager Tiffany to let her know I wasnt pleased but she said she was too busy to help me out and to come back later. When I did she was still too busy to help so I will not be returning just to waste my money. My gel nails lasted 6 days before the white came off my toes and my nails are not Even shaped evenly they look like huge blobs of powder on my nail. read more

First & last time visiting. I came in for a basic Nexgen (no acrylic, fake nails, designs) and pedicure (reg. Nail polish) at 11:30AM. I have naturally long, strong nails shown below and said "yes" to cutting them when asked. Imagine my surprise to see I was charged an extra $5 for CUTTING MY NATURAL NAILS to "a medium length." As you can see. Medium length is not what they are at all & takes no extra time or material to dip my NATURAL finger nail into powder or take less than 3 minutes to clip MY NATURAL finger nails. With no communication at any point. I mean, What is the centimeter difference used to determine when to upcharge a woman for natural nails? It is illogical at best & bad business at worst. I was super disappointed at the lack of simple communication expected from business to me, the paying customer. Nail salons seem to be the only business that feels no obligation to communicate any surcharges upfront or at all. It is not about the value of money but the principle. I did not enjoy the passive aggressive & lack luster customer service received upon me asking about the unspoken upcharge at check out & walk off without a simple thank you & good day upon my leaving. As a finance manager, I don't argue unless a checks involved so I smiled STILL tipped & dipped. I recognize just because someone says something with a smile does not automatically mean honesty or respect. This used to be my first choice as they are close and reasonable in cost. But the last two times I got a pedicure, the polish was thin, as if they had thinned it out, unevenly applied and cuticle clean up was minimal. I understand I am not getting the top of the line, but I ended up four days later taking off all the nail polish and redoing it because it looked so bad. read more

I've been coming here for a couple of years now and decided at my most recent appointment that I won't be coming back. My go-to nail tech left but I wanted to give the rest of the team a chance. The last two appointments were a bust, my final in particular. The business seems short staffed so the techs appear stressed out and rushing to keep up. It leads to sloppy work and cut fingers. The reason I loved my former tech so much was because she took her time, no matter how busy. For two years I never had a cut finger or crooked nail. Despite scheduling my appointment ahead of time, I had multiple techs facilitating my manicure because they were so short staffed. I received cuts, had to pull my hand away because the drill was burning my nail, the clippers went painfully low on my cuticle and I left with one of my dip nails crooked. A bummer. I just got a classic mani/ pedi here. The guy who did the pedi was great and took his time to massage, shape and paint each nail properly and none was left on my skin. The younger one who did my mani just rushed through everything, it wasn't busy at all so I had no idea what the rush was. The paint was not evenly distributed atop the entire nails so there were spaces on my nails that were missing certain layers of paint that were applied. When I asked him to fix one he just applied another coat which made that nail stick out from the rest. They were very nice though and I really wanted to like this place. But just don't think the guy really cares about the quality of his work or customers coming back ? Maybe you have to know a specific tech by name to get quality work done. Very unorganized salon. My experience here has been very awful. They need a system for appts, it's always unknown with these people. They claimed to have called me to cancel my lash appt and I called in to confirm that same morning. Tiffany, specifically has always been rude, she rushes through my appts and walks in and out, while talking on the phone with her earphones. Very unprofessional. Came here for over 3 years and would tip no less than 20% each time. One day after bringing a friend with me who spoke Vietnamese, she said something friendly to my nail tech in Vietnamese. She asked her how long she had been in the states and where from Vietnam she was from. Normal stuff that immigrants ask each other. She seemed frazzled by the fact that my friend made conversation with her in Vietnamese. Immediately after my nails were done, I was told that I could no longer have my nails done here because I get them done too long and they can't force the technician, "Amy", to do my nails. It was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. I don't know how to explain it. It's none of my business, but don't use the excuse that my nails are too long as a cop out. I been getting my lashes done at another place for 6 years and my cousin recommended that I try this place out. Boy am I glad I listened to her! Tammy did my full set and I been coming back ever since to get my refills. She does such an excellent job. Not only are my lashes full and thick but they feel like lightweight which is amazing. I am so happy with them and glad that I found my place for lashes. I been telling all my friends to come to her as well. She is so nice and professional. Unprofessional staff. They dismiss you if you provide feedback during the experience and threaten to call the police on you when you don't want their nail service any longer. I was willing to pay the nail polish removal charge at least but they demanded I pay for the full nail service even after I stopped them 5 minutes after starting and didn't walk out with my manicure done. She said to remove callus it would be $10 more when they have it on the book removal of Callus and they didn't charge me last time. You have no idea how HAPPY I am today! I would rate this 10 stars if possible!! I Went to this place randomly cause it's closer from secret recipe and located right next door from my dentist office. I have been searching for 1.5 years now to find a place that I can go regularly. I used to go to the one in Plano but, my girl quit and my nails were just horrifying after that. I had so many bad experiences with other salons, either I got cut and blood all over my fingers or the nails were cut tooo long (my nails look literally like dragon nails) or the texture was so bad etc. I am a designer, so to me color, quality, texture are so important. Until I met AMY. Amy is a true artist. She is VERY PRECISE AND GENTLE in taking care and painting my nails. My nails were clipped perfectly! And the color was applied very carefully and thoroughly. It covered my entire nails from side to side. All precisely have the same length. Her work is also EXTREMELY clean! No random color stain on your fingers. They took me fairly quickly as a walk in and paid a reasonable price for both services I received. I got a soak off and a full set with Dip.
