Supreme Detailworks - 2020 BMW M4 Full Front PPF in Suntek Ultra Defense & Ceramic Pro Silver Package

    Supreme Detailworks

Before my Porsche Panamera even arrived, I spent weeks researching paint protection film (PPF),…read moreceramic coating, and detailing shops throughout the Bay Area. As someone who had waited months for a custom-ordered Porsche, I knew I wanted to protect the car from day one and wasn't willing to trust it to just anyone. I researched, visited, or spoke with nearly ten different shops before making my decision. Some were significantly cheaper. Some promised much faster turnaround times. Many claimed they could deliver the same result. Between the PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, windshield protection film, interior protection, and other treatments, my project represented an investment of nearly $20,000. At that level, I wasn't looking for the cheapest option--I was looking for the highest level of craftsmanship. One thing that stood out during my research was that many Bay Area shops quoted anywhere from 20% to 50% less than Supreme Detailworks. At first glance, that gets your attention. However, many of those same shops also quoted completion times that were only one-third or even one-quarter of the time James estimated for essentially the same scope of work. That immediately raised a red flag for me. When someone claims they can do the same work for far less money and in a fraction of the time, I start asking questions. The more I learned about Supreme Detailworks' process--paint preparation, component removal, edge wrapping, tucked installations, and quality control--the more I understood where that extra time was going. It wasn't inefficiency. It was attention to detail. I also compared Supreme Detailworks against one of the highly respected PPF shops in the Chicago area that is nationally known for premium installations. To my surprise, James' pricing was very similar. And even if I had chosen the Chicago shop, shipping the car there and back would have added roughly another $5,000 in transportation costs alone, not to mention additional time and logistics. Having that level of craftsmanship available right here in the Bay Area made the decision much easier. For my Panamera, James and his team installed PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, front windshield protection film, protection for the headlights and glass roof, interior PPF for the gloss black trim, and matte protection for all touchscreen surfaces, including the digital instrument cluster. The result is so seamless that several of my friends couldn't even tell my Panamera had PPF installed. In fact, I had to physically show them where to look and where to touch before they realized the vehicle was protected. That's how clean and invisible the installation is. What impressed me most was that James never tried to upsell me. Instead, he took the time to explain the different options and recommend what made the most sense for how I planned to use the car. One thing many people don't realize is that the true quality of a PPF installation is found in the details--the edges, seams, corners, and difficult areas where shortcuts are often taken. James and his team don't take shortcuts. They carefully remove and disassemble components when necessary to ensure the film is properly wrapped and hidden wherever possible. After investing nearly $20,000 in protection, the last thing I wanted was visible seams, lifted edges, or obvious installation lines. Supreme Detailworks delivered exactly what I was hoping for: a fully protected vehicle that still looks completely factory original. Another thing prospective customers should know is that Supreme Detailworks is almost always busy. There is usually a waiting list, and scheduling requires patience. If you're looking for the fastest shop in town, this may not be the place for you. If you're looking for the cheapest shop in town, this definitely isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a team that refuses to rush the process and treats your vehicle as if it were their own, the wait is absolutely worth it. During my visits, I regularly saw Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Maseratis, Porsches, Mercedes-Benz, BMWs, Audis, Land Rovers, Lexus vehicles, Teslas, and many other enthusiast cars in the shop. Seeing that lineup gave me additional confidence that I had chosen the right place. After seeing the finished result on my Porsche, I can honestly say my expectations were exceeded. And if you're looking for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a team that treats your vehicle as if it were their own, Supreme Detailworks is hard to beat. Thank you, James and the entire Supreme Detailworks team, for treating my Panamera as if it were your own.

He took a look at it and was able to remove the paint transfer for me right then and there. I was only there a short time, but he completely made my day and put my mind at ease. He was straightforward, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and just genuinely wanted to help. It's easy to see why Supreme Detailworks has such great reviews. Thank you so much, James -- I truly appreciated your kindness and honesty!

Updated Review -- They Took My Feedback Seriously…read more UPDATE: I'm updating my review because I want to recognize how the business responded after I shared my concerns. My original experience was mixed. The three workers were friendly and worked hard, and the car looked noticeably cleaner overall, especially the interior, tires, and trunk. However, I felt that the attention to detail wasn't at the level I expected from a $180 premium detailing service. After they finished, I noticed that some of the tree residue on the rear roof, rear window, and trunk was still there. I was told that they had already tried two chemicals to remove it, but I was able to remove roughly 90% of what remained myself afterward. I also found dirt on the exposed portion of my steering wheel and some small crumbs in the rear passenger area. Since their advertised service specifically included deep cleaning of the steering wheel and other detailed areas, I was disappointed. I originally gave them 3 stars because, to me, detailing should mean paying attention to the small details--not simply making the car look clean from a distance. I had genuinely hoped to love the result, so I was disappointed when I found these things afterward. However, what happened afterward changed my impression of the business. The business reached out to me personally, acknowledged my concerns, apologized that the result didn't meet my expectations, and offered to come back and inspect and correct the areas I mentioned. Unfortunately, I'll be staying in Hayward for the next couple of weeks, which is outside their service range, so having them return in person isn't practical right now. Even though they couldn't physically come back at this time, I really appreciate that they didn't dismiss my concerns. They emphasized that customer satisfaction is extremely important to them and genuinely tried to find a solution that would be fair to both sides. That kind of accountability matters to me. Mistakes or missed details can happen, but how a business responds when a customer points them out tells you a lot about the business. I still stand by the issues I originally mentioned, but I also want to recognize the effort they made afterward to take responsibility and make the situation right. I appreciate the kindness of their team and the way the business handled my feedback. I'm updating my rating to 5 stars because I now have a much more positive impression of the business and, more importantly, I believe they genuinely care about their customers and are willing to listen and take action when something doesn't go as expected. I hope my original feedback also helps them improve their attention to detail going forward. I genuinely want to see them succeed, because their response showed me that they care about doing right by their customers.

Scheduling was easy, with good communication and follow-through. I wouldn't call it a bargain, but the price is fair for high-quality work that set me up for years of easy and effective car care. In a world where everything seems to go downhill and most companies cut corners on customer service and satisfaction, Beach Cities is one business that has maintained high standards and quality over the years. Thanks, guys.

Initially, I had a great experience with Nate and his crew when they tinted my Mercedes Sprinter…read moreconversion van. The tint looked excellent, and I thanked Nate personally when I picked it up. Once I got home, I discovered significant damage on the driver and passenger door panels that had been removed for the tinting. The panels were pulling away from the door frames. Four clips on each door were either missing or broken. Three bolt-covering end caps were missing and the rest were installed incorrectly. A bolt was missing from the passenger panel. The plastic was scratched and jagged where it had been pried off, and the black rubber pillar window seals had razor-blade cuts. I even found a razor blade left on my seat. I contacted Nate that same day with photos and videos. He would not take my calls, but he did text to apologize and offered to repair the damage. He explained that his most experienced tech had called out and two younger techs worked on my van. I agreed to give them the opportunity to correct it. Days went by with no follow-up. After multiple messages, Nate said his expert tech had "fallen off the face of the earth" and suggested his "plastic guy" repair the damaged panels. I was skeptical, but he promised to schedule the repair soon. Then more days passed with no communication. At no point would he speak to me on the phone. After eight days, I went to the shop in person. Nate was not there, but his brother inspected the van and agreed the work was unacceptable, especially the cut window seals. He assured me they would make things right and said refunding the tint cost was the least they should do. A week has passed since then with no response. I had to take the van to the Mercedes dealership. They confirmed missing and damaged clips and improper reinstallation. They also said the damaged seals should remain watertight but are visibly compromised. I paid $350 for the tint and $758.13 out-of-pocket to have the panels repaired. The seals remain damaged. I genuinely liked Nate and his brother. Their shop is clean and they seem to care about quality. However, ignoring a customer after damaging their vehicle is unacceptable. There is another review describing a similar situation tied to personal issues Nate was having. That may explain things, but it does not excuse the lack of accountability. The tint quality was great, but if anything goes wrong, do not expect them to stand behind their work.
