I enjoy the personal experience I get with his practice and I always get time with Dr. Venezie at the end of each visit informing me of my kids' dental health and to answer any questions I have. My husband has had multiple jobs over these years, so I've switched insurance companies multiple times. I have never had any problems having my insurance processed at any point (we go at least twice a year). A couple of years ago, I moved to North Raleigh, but we continue to use Dr. Venezie, that's how happy I am with the services he provides.

Dr Englehardt did a good job excising a large wisdom tooth, in a delicate spot near sinuses, with no problems or side effects to report a week after the procedure. I had general, not local anesthesia. You will want to prepare for that decision and know what anesthesia and pain medicine you prefer. The one slight negative was on the day of the procedure, we had to go through that decision all that again. The combination of versed and propopil(?) worked well for me the 15 minutes I was "out"- virtually no down time recovering. I did not want fentanyl because of all the bad press about that. The staff was courteous and got the details right, except for the one encounter on day-of in the Garner office where they asked again about anesthesia, like nothing had been decided before. It took a lot of skill to get out a delicately placed wisdom tooth and Dr Engelhardt and his assistant seem to have done an *excellent* job.

In addition to enduring a wait while I was the only patient in the waiting room - during COVID, this doctor flat out REFUSED to wash his hands. I respectfully requested that he wash his hands before touching and examining my mouth. He would not wash his hands, and told me that he would not serve me, rather than taking 20 seconds to keep me - the patient - safe. I informed him that I have asthma and I am high risk, and that I was only there for an in-person appointment because of a dental emergency. Instead of taking just 20 seconds to wash his hands, he spent more than 10 minutes rudely insisting that he had washed his hands "several times that day" and that he "knows way more about Covid than me." Due to his incredibly rude and unhelpful attitude, I had a panic attack in the chair while seeking the help of someone who could have simply taken 20 seconds to wash their hands after touching a tablet, a pen, a door, and who knows what else upon entering the room. As Covid numbers are peaking around the country, asking a doctor who is about to touch the inside of your mouth to wash their hands is quite a small ask. Dr. Gaines' office is NOT a Covid-safe or Covid-friendly office. Stay safe, go elsewhere.

I liked that I had only called a few days ago and was able to get in for an appointment first thing in the morning. I did not like having to still wait 20 minutes when I was clearly the only patient there. I also did not like having to watch a 15 minute video on wisdom teeth, by myself, in a small room while sitting in a dentist chair. However, when Dr. Gaines (finally) came in, he was very friendly and answered all of my silly questions (how many people actually die from anesthesia? how likely is it that part of my jaw might become permanently numb?). All in all, I love my dentist even though I hate visiting him, and I trust his recommendation of Dr. Gaines.

I heard about Dr. Lee from my friend. She and her family are his patients. They spoke highly about his dentistry and interpersonal skills. I decided to give him a call. Dr. Lee agreed to see us during his break the next day! We visited the clinic and really impress with cleanliness and friendliness of the staffs. Dr. Lee is AMAZING. He is not just an exceptional doctor but he also cares. He took care of the my wife pain during the initial visit and told us the implant needed to be ordered and replaced. The implant came to his office on Friday evening and he agreed to fix her teeth that WEEKEND! His office is closed on the weekend, so he came in just for us and worked without any supporting staffs because he wanted to help his patients. We are very grateful.

In addition, he was also very pleased. My brother has extreme anxiety in any type of medical setting, so the fact that she was able to calm him spoke volumes. As someone who has had multiple terrible experiences in dental offices, it was very refreshing to see a professional who seemed genuine and described the proscribed treatment plan in detail. Crowns were put on his front teeth just for them to last a little past a month. I called to schedule an appointment because my son was complaining about pain on his front tooth's. I thought something went wrong with his surgery bc it had been a month. I called & they told me the only day was a Wednesday and if that didn't work to call else where. That let me know they're money hungry. I took my kid to another dentist that got xrays done. Turns out his baby teeth are coming out. Why didn't they see that? Why put crowns and silver on his teeth if they were only going to last a month (money thats all they wanted). I do not recommend this place at all.
