Service was good but hidden cost to the consumer is ridiculous !! I was charged $450 dollar charge for service on my gas furnace. The fee is $75 every half hour . The tech was finished in 45 minutes but I was charged 450 . When I questioned the 3 hour charge I was told I had to pay for the tech to pick up the part and drive to my house with it !!!! I've never heard of such a rip off in my life ..... I'm paying a person to pick up a part and pay him $150 an hour to do it !!! My experience with precision tech has being long, tiring, upsetting. A never ending nightmare. In 2022 I had my pool lights, electric system done with this company. For two long years I have called, email about brakes tripping and shooting the pool off. Last year after many calls they sent a technician that couldn't fix the problem. By the end of the season all my backyard power was gone. After so many undesirable encounters with the owner Mario. I decided to give it a rest. This year I called them to come and fix the problem again. The called 2 times as of now in the last 3 weeks. Emailed Mario about 4 times. And he has no responded. I spent 9ver $100,000 in the pool not ven two year ago. Please all the electric with presition tech did. I spent over $130,000 in a pool that has no light and back year that is totally in the dark. I feel as a single woman I was taken advantage by this company. And they will not respond to my calls because they just don't care how hard I work to make the money to pay for a dream backyard that never happened. It has very stressful, because if I called someone else to fix I them if in the future I have a any problems they will came and said they did everything right. This is what I have being telling me all along. But as of now $12,000 light inside the pool out. $7000 lighting outside the pool gone. All power GFIs outlets in the back yard gone. I had PRECISION TECH HOME SERVICES someone I know for 30 years in the HVAC Industry put in a AC /Heat pump unit in my condo 2 yrs 3 months ago almost $8k In the 2 years they had to comeback 4 times for shoddy work. Flex vents not zip tied correctly, had to be redone, AC was not checked for Freon when installed, had to comeback and put Freon in. Problem with wiring in thermostat. Then last week one of the vent hoses came off distribution box for air flow. I called them to let them know that it was put on with 2 way tape and no screws to hold it, blowing hot and cold air in the attic for weeks. Since it was 3 months past the labor warranty they wanted to charge me. I got some screws and put them back on correctly. I then called them and said I fixed it , I know what it would cost to send someone to make an easy fix (I did it because it was to save them sending a guy to fix it and not get in an argument about faulty , shoddy installation work from the start. ) The straw that broke the camels back is in the last week the thermostat kept going on and off. I called them to fix it, 3 months out of labor warranty and it turned out to be a clog drain line for condensation that would shut off 12v power to thermostat until water level went down. (Did they clean out line when they put in new AC? I don't know) They send a guy to look ,1 minute he knew what's was wrong and vacuumed out the line leading to outdoors , dropped a few tablets in for algae, anti clogging and gives me a bill for $293.22 for 30 minutes of work. You would think if they knew that , someone would have said , sounds like your drain line , check this before I send a guy out. Nope no call, he won't even call me back. Be careful who you hire, especially who forgets how much work you recommend them for in the last 30+ years. I had the worst experience with this company. My electricity entrance cable was in need of replacement so I called them to send their electrician to perform the job. First thing they did was to take my credit card information, then they sent two technicians for a very simple and straight forward service entrance cable replacement. They both spent a total of less than an hour on my property and used less than $50 worth of materials. Then they sent me a bill for $2400. I called them to find out why the fee was so high and talked with the owner (Mario) who became extremely rude and threatened not to mail me the paperwork that I needed for the city inspector. I specifically expressed my disagreement with the absurd price, asking for clarification. Regardless, he went ahead and charged my credit card right away with no further explanation. After happily using this company for 10 years at my primary residence, I hired them for an intricate job at my mom's new condo. I spoke with an electrical sales expert and obtained a prior quote. Expected 2 men for part/full day. On day of work, one guy showed up without a mask but with booties. I asked for the mask, he showed me he was carrying a bandana (but never put it on) and entered asking"what do we have goin' on?".. His work order showed "changing a few outlets and switches". I've used Precision Tech since 2014. They installed a new dual-zone central air conditioning system and replaced our boiler and hot water heater. We also used them for all of our general electrical and plumbing needs. For years, they WERE reliable, professional and efficient. And then two years ago, everything changed -in 2020, they sent a plumber who didn't know how to fix a dripping kitchen sink -in 2021, they sent a technician to service the air conditioning system- he brought the 4" filter for the basement but didn't have the right filter for the attic and told me that I had to order it (but gave me the wrong size to order, so I had to order yet another filter) -in 2022, they changed their service contract from monthly to up-front for a year. It took dozens of emails to get details on the new plan (which I ultimately only got by looking online) -in 2022, when the technician arrived to service the air conditioners, he had a monthly filter for the attic (previously three-month filters were provided) and did not have the 4" filter for the basement and claimed that 4" filters had never been included (they had been for every year) Now, I'm stuck in an annual contract with abysmal service levels. I had a problem with a tankless water heater which was installed in 2019 by another incompetent HVAC company, thus I asked the manufacturer (Rheem) to recommend a local company and they gave me Precision Tech. They came out to take a look and after speaking with Rheem it was deemed that the original installation was incomplete and some fixes had to be performed prior to performing any troubleshooting of the error. This involved replacing the venting pipes which went out the roof. I was told by the Precision tech that it would take 2 techs a complete day (8am till 5) to complete and that the cost would be $2200. Having my back against the wall and though I felt the cost was excessive, I agreed. I also had to order my own parts - another $400 worth. The parts arrived and they came out to install and complete the job. Contrary to what I was told in the estimate of work, the techs arrived after 9am, completed the venting work by 10:30, then did some piping work till noon, then they stated that they needed some minor parts and needed to go to Home Depot to acquire them and to take a lunch break. They returned an hour later, installed the parts, and called Rheem again to troubleshoot the original error code. The call with Rheem took approx. 10 minutes and it was determined that an inexpensive $20 part (ignitor coil) needed to be replaced. I ordered the part and discussed with one of the techs a possible return time to install the part. It was now 2pm. He told me that the return trip would cost an additional $200. Angry at hearing this I told him that I would speak to his office about it and the techs left. I soon received a notice on my phone that the $2200 charge to my credit card had been applied. Furious, I called the office and spoke to Mark, explained my being upset by being charged for what was to be a full day's work when in fact it was just a couple of hours, and that my water heater was still not functioning and that I was told that it would require additional $200 to repair. I told him that since the job was not complete and since the techs worked only a fraction of what was estimated, that I expected the job to be completed at no additional cost and that I even deserved a credit due to the fact the job was miss-estimated to begin with. He disagreed and dismissed my claims and I hung up disappointed and upset and knowing that I'd have to find another company to complete the repair. I them called Rheem to ask for another company and the customer service rep told me that the ignitor coil which needed to be replaced could be done by anyone with a screwdriver and 1 minute of time. I was told that if Precision Tech had any knowledge of the water heater, they would of informed me to also order the ignitor coil along with my original vent parts order thus saving me 2 more days of being without hot water. I ended up taking the Rheem reps advice and installed the part myself and in 2 minutes time. In conclusion, Precision Tech took my $2200 for 3 hours of actual work which should of not had cost more than $500, did not complete the work, and wasted time which left me without a water heater for several days. They do not have your best interest in mind and only care to bang out homeowners in desperate situations. They are also incompetent and rip-offs. Stay away. read more

I'll start this review by noting that I contacted these guys to let them know that I will put this information out so no one else would have to deal with what I've experienced.. Waited ,hoping that maybe they might contact me before I do, but apparently they don"t think it's their problem Anymore. In Oct 2018 I had these guys install a complete system ,Ac/ furnace. no issues with the furnace. The following year one of their experts came to start it up. I will use the word experts since they claim they are, worked fine about a month and half, then I started noticing its not cooling as should. I contacted them, they sent another expert and he pressure checked it said it was low on gas, Which means a leak was possible..So instead of finding the leak and then recharge, his fix was to put in a stop leak. We ran it rest of summer. In 2020 the another tech came to do the startup. Again he found it undercharged. I'm not going to question this guys ability since he made a sincere effort to fix the issue, and he seem to be knowledgeable. He added gas and said he can t do anything about finding the leak then and he will have to come back. He came back I believe couple weeks later, put nitro and fixed 2 leaks by the filter. The original warrenty still covered that repair, but for some reason my mom signed for an extra 2 yr. Don t know why, I told her if it still has issues ,they responsible to fix. It is less than 2 yrs old. She paid an additional $155, We completed 2020 assuming it was fixed. May of this year the other expert came to start up.. He said everything is good, all the pressure is good. little over a month after we started to use it more since it was getting hotter, I noticed the house was not getting cold and it wasn t cycling on/off. The temp out of the vent was 62 and this was after running for 45 mins. I know for a fact that when it is working as should I would get 55,56 degrees out of the supply vent in less than 25 mins on an 85 degree day depending on humidity. I use an accurate digital temp probe which is what is recommended. Everytime I checked the liquid line temp when compared to outside temp, it was not even on the lowest # allowed, which is 5 to 10 . I suspected its low on gas. I sent a message explaining everything noting that my ac seem to still have the same leaking issue . I know this because after waiting and not getting any response, I had no other choice but to add some gas so that it can run more efficient and give me some comfort. I immediately saw a big difference and that confirmed it was low on gas. Waited almost a week, no response. Finally another expert called to say the person I sent the message to.no longer work there. But somehow the message finally surfaced. He told me all the #'s the other expert who did the startup showed were right. No charge needed. So if it was all was good how come I had to add gas to get it to work as should. To add to this, recently my mother mentioned to me something else which I wish she should at that time. She noticed through the basement window that this expert was releasing gas out of the unit., don't know why. She ran outside to see what was going on. By then he had stopped. So apparently he released too much , and instead of recharging he chose not to, he didn't want us to see him doing that because it would seem that there is still a leak. I'm sure he will have some excuse to explain this.Then he finally agreed to send someone to see if there might be a leak. He actually said I have to pay them for doing that. After I questioned as to why, I noted the leak issue is not new. Its been there since the beginning. Anyhow I had to wait another week before the other expert showed. When he showed up , he had more of an attitude. Thats another reason I decided to do this. The truth is, he only came to show his face. He said he was only told to check the head pressure. I guess that was the plan. They knew since I added charge it would most likely show ok. Then wouldn't be a need to do anything else since I wasn t planning to pay. Just to give you how well trained he was, he's checking the line temp with the sun beaming down on it. They recommend to shade the line to get an accurate reading. Then he tells me I should've not added gas until they come. So I'm supposed to run the unit as inefficient as it was and wait 2 weeks for them. They dont pay my electric bill. This thing was running non stop because the air isn't cold enough. I had to put small fans by the vents to push the cool ,not cold air up just so the thing could cycle off. I invested in a new unit to save and get comfort. And I'm not supposed to be upset. I'll save all the poor workmanship examples for the next phase. I have the time and finance to take this further. Reliable and do a good job with generally professional staff (it's a tough business and field personnel vary) in the office and in the field. There are some gaps every so often depending on who shows up from their crews, but a quick discussion usually sorts it out and sometimes they'll have a more experienced person come on the job as well. Mario is always helpful without hesitation. I used them at 2 properties for electrical, HVAC, whole house generator and plumbing. They show up when they say they will, they have the right parts and equipment, and they clean up no matter what size job. I highly recommend them. read more

However, Jason the salesman for Precision Tech was so pleasant & knowledgable about the units we decided to make the purchase through them. We had Precision Tech install our new central AC in June 2021. There had been a minor issue with us getting a new pan for the attic unit but installer made a call & they immediately brought a new pan over. The install took a day & we were up & running asap. However there was a minor problem with the new Ecobee thermostat but the next day Joe came over, he was so knowledgeable & set it up and we were great the entire summer. read more

Evening, Let me start by saying I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but these guys. Let's start by saying very unprofessional. We were victims of hurricane IDA in branchburg NJ and pretty much lost our whole first floor and basement. When they came in to do work the first things there employees did was take pictures and videos of our destruction and laughed. I have it all I ring and will be happy to share if anyone wants to see. Next they did work without ever telling us or discussing a price and just sent an invoice. I don't know anyone that would have work done then after say please tell me a price. Now we are finally back in our home and not even 2 months and a pipe burst that they did and I called and was told that was not in their scope of work. Used these guys twice. First time was when there was a gas leak and gas was turned off and second time today when HVAC system was shutting off after a couple of minutes. These guys are great... reliable, fair on their pricing and pleasure to have come out. Tommy is the man... he was able to diagnose the broken flame sensor and repair it all within an hour. They installed 2 new AC/furnace systems replacing 20+ year old previous systems, financing was great with 0% for 3 years. Each system was replaced in one day, 2 days total for both replaced. WiFi thermostats included and follow up checkups for the first year. They remedied a problem we had with one system the following year gratis even though we were a month out of warranty. My wife and I called Precision Tech on Sunday of this week to ask for them to come out to hook up our humidifier. The water line was previously disconnected by a past owner. We received a call back on Monday. We weren't sure what work needed to be done and if everything worked as intended, so sight unseen we were quoted an estimate by Sal of $135. This was specifically framed as an estimate on the call. We were told a technician would visit on Tuesday. Tuesday came and we assumed the work had been done. Upon arriving at the residence at 9:00 PM, I found that no work was done. No call, no show. To me, this is one of the key components of hiring someone for a job like this - they show up as promised, and, if something comes up, they have the common decency to let you know that they won't be there. I reached out to Sal to ask if work had been done, he replied that he wasn't sure and would check the following day. I asked for him to follow up with me and let me know either way. Wednesday afternoon came and I did not hear from anyone at Precision Tech on whether the work was done or not, so I called Sal and was told that the work was completed. Once again, no consideration to the no show the day before and the request to be kept in the loop. I visited the residence on Wednesday night and found that everything was installed. The work consisted of piercing a water line off of the top of the hot water heater with a saddle valve and installing the filter that we had previously purchased. The only part required was a saddle valve, which costs a couple dollars. Even for someone who was untrained, this would have taken at most 2 - 3 minutes. I was happy with the work and was relieved to see if was much less involved than expected. At this point, I was confident that the final bill would be much less than the estimate I was provided days ago. On Thursday, I received the bill at $145. To my surprise this, tax now included, was the same / above the estimate I received on the phone for the sight unseen work. I reached out to Sal at Precision Tech and inquired what work was done and why the bill was as high as it was. As expected, the only work done was installing the saddle valve and attaching the water line. I was told that regardless of the time or effort on the project, I was billed what was quoted; this time the same person I spoke with on Monday now said that that wasn't an estimate, even though it was explicitly stated as an estimate. To me, this is the equivalent of calling a mechanic and telling them your check engine light is on and they provide an estimate for a seized engine, only to find that the gas cap was slightly unscrewed, and then being charged for the worst case scenario. Regardless of the sight unseen estimate, I feel that a company should provide a reasonable price for the work that was done - respecting their customers, and cultivating repeat business. I asked numerous times how long the technician was at the residence and the question was avoided and was told "that doesn't matter", even though the company has GPS tracking and can tell how long they were present. I was told repeatedly that because I was provided an estimate, I was being charged for the estimate, regardless of what was involved. I also asked what their hourly rate was, and once again was told "that doesn't matter." At this point, Sal was hostile and dismissed me. I let them know that I would be writing this review and never working with them again. He told me "that's fine" and to expect a response from their company. While I will be paying my bill, I am warning friends and strangers alike to avoid Precision Tech. They did not arrive when they said they would, they do not understand the value of an estimate, and they do not value their customers enough to provide a fair price for work that is done. read more

I had to have my electrical panel changed, after reviewing 3 estimates, Precision Tech was hired to do the job. They were on time and did an excellent job. We recently found out we had mold in the HVAC unit. We called on them to give us an estimate and do the job. 2 Days later we're up and running with added UV light to insure clean air. This company is responsive, reliable, informative, honest, trustworthy, caring, clean and neat, and worth every penny and kindness you can offer. They work hard, treat you like family and help you save money. My husband and I will never use anyone else. Next week they are installing an exhaust fan for us. After receiving many estimates I decided to go with Precision Tech Home Services. and boy am I so happy. From the moment Blake walked into my house to give me an estimate I felt relaxed and at ease. He walked me through the whole process and assured me everything was going to be great. The installers, Steve and Christian showed up and treated my home as if it was their own from putting tarps on the floors to vacuuming when they were done.
