It was like the death of all of us... My family and I endured seven long haul months of endless night sleep listening to the toilet run and leaking to rise hot water to stifling hot while one takes a shower. The toilet was immensely wasting water!! In addition, the shower's faucet was also immensely wasting water by dripping like a sick running nose. After two no-shows from this plumbing company of this week and finally a show today, the plumber replaced the toilet's motor, stoppage drain, chain, and toilet's chrome handle with the addition of two new washers of the shower's faucet, and new "hot" and "cold" shower knobs. This company's fees are by the hour for labor, and parts/ materials which totaled an utter gargantuan sum of $275.00. Woodhaven Plumbing & Heating is the area's local plumber as my family have utilize their services in the past. I rate Woodhaven Plumbing & Heating four stars as they have bad attendance of having two no-shows despite of numerous appointments with the added incentive office location within walking distance-- ergo, no excuse! After removing the existing parts of the toilet and shower knobs, the dude announced: "these parts are very bad that I put in all new parts buddy." Duh, really... no kidding Sherlock! That's why you're here to fix it dude! In addition, the work of this plumber is very sloppy as after the dude completed the job he left a gargantuan mess with debris everywhere in our bathroom. Personally, I believe all plumbers leave a mess with debris everywhere to make clients' lives hell as I spent much of the afternoon cleaning the dude's mess.

Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor. The great work, attention to detail, and general pleasantness mean I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing anytime I need a plumber.

The guy told me that it was a one-time thing and once I was registered with them they would drop the $450 part and it would be $165 for the simple diagnostic and then hourly parts and labor from there. That was all very well and good in the 1st call cost a little over $500 and only gave me was a replacement of my boiler suggestion. I just called them back 3 months later to work on the same boiler and they want to same 500 bucks before they do anything beyond guesstimate the problem. They know who we are, that we own our building so this $500 because we're not sure we can trust you that they collect before they do any work is just nonsense. So, they left us with a smashed sink, no hot water, no bathroom ceiling, no flushing toilet, a badly damaged wall, and no light in that bathroom, a broken fixture and electric wires wrapped overhead in a plastic bag They said they would return,,would not give their name, and lied about all of the damage to everyone we reported it to. We feel M&M plumbing hires independent workers off the books so they cannot be found or held responsible.
