We pulled up without a wait, explained our situation, and the staff was friendly and ready to help. They examined our tires and added air, but couldn't find anything wrong with our tires (probably a malfunctioning sensor that needs replacing). They gave the rest of our car a quick check and topped off our fluids. The staff was super-fast as we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. When they told me I needed new brake pads before my trip. With any other shop I probably would have gotten a 2nd opinion and done some price shopping, I trust them. They also go above and beyond in their customer service. I 1st went there on the recommendation of a friend. The dealership had just quoted $110 to change a headlight bulb. When I asked them how much it would be, they quoted the price of the bulb, 20ish if I remember, and didn't charge me to put it in. Fast forward 5 years, I asked them to change my husband's headlight. They looked at it, it had a loose connection, they tightened it up at no charge. These seem like small things but it speaks volumes about the business. I highly recommend this shop.

He berated the same employee repeatedly and continued to yell at everyone around him. It was loud and incredibly aggressive. He realized it immediately so I did not drive it and had it towed to Carl's. Not easy to find. It's a residential lot and a weird looking parking lot. Brought the car in at 9:30am, he did not tell me when it would be ready. Called at 4:30pm with the car. I pulled in and he showed me my transmission fluid and told me my transmission was failing in 1st and 2nd gear and it would be $3,000 to replace it. Told me that he didn't think it would drive home. I didn't have the money immediately (SO glad I didn't), so I paid to have the transmission refilled and went home to panic. Made an appt with a transmission shop in Portland, whom flipped and ran all diagnostics on the transmission and couldn't find anything wrong with the transmission and said it was running great for how high of mileage it is.
