Our business started using Impact for HP parts. They seemed to have most anything we needed. They have been adding more Dell parts to their inventory. They deal in refurbished and new parts. Pay attention to the availability. They may have a wait on the parts. If they have to get it from another supplier, they will not have it drop shipped to you. They want to get in their possession first to check it out before shipping it back out. We have received a couple of refurb duds (motherboards, I think) but we have had mostly good success. I would suggesting placing your order over the phone to verify available and pricing. read more

They did not have the item I needed. I tried a different part that they suggested would work as a substitute. The plugs were not compatible. They did not respond to my initial contact for returns through their website form. After waiting a week, I requested my credit card company alert them I had filed a dispute for the charge. They then immediately contacted me and were prompt and cooperative in issuing a refund. Oddly, they did not even require I return the unused item. As to item quality, they stock the same parts as other suppliers including those from China that are lower priced, but come with no customer service or means of return/refund. I prefer to pay a little more and deal with an American company. Therefore, I recommend Impact computers IF they have your exact part item number, as returns are a bit difficult. read more

I order an Apple Flex cable from Impact Computers. They had a fair price and they said it was in stock. I then cancelled an order I had with another company because Imapact was local and seemed to have good reviews. They decided that the cable was worth more than I ordered it for and tried to increase the price from $12 to over $70. They then called to cancel the order when I refused to pay to price increase. They could have at least offered to match the price of what I had previously ordered from another company at ($39.95). Now I cannot order because the first company is out of stock. I was sent the wrong part in the right bag (a computer power supply with a lower wattage than I required). The 1st person I talked to via live chat said it would still work and to try it. After doing some research, I decided that a lower wattage would not work. I contacted them again and spoke with Jose who didnt argue, was very pleasant and said they would send the right part or submit a refund. SECONDS later, I got an email saying they didnt have the part and would refund my money and the part didnt have to be returned. Ordered a random (now uncommon) 4:3 LCD panel, they shipped it out well packed with UPS. LCD *was working* and *exactly the part #* as advertised, and that's what I wanted. While the screen does have minor scratches and insignificant hot spots **if you read their terms of agreement the parts are used**, so I was not expecting a perfect brand new display because that's not what I ordered. The fact that they even carried that old LCD for 9+ years is what most businesses are not interested in doing-- because storing old parts that people may never buy costs money. From reading the negative responses that Impact Computers has, I feel that they are what I call 'unreasonable customers'. Customers who are not technical enough to know what they're buying (re: typical mac users trying to order cables and fix their mac), and customers that get mad no matter what happens. Even if I had a problem I am sure the customer support would resolve it. I got precisely the rare specific part I was looking for in working condition, so... 5/5 from me. read more

I didn't want to leave any stars but unfortunately it won't let me submit a review with zero stars but that is what this company deserves! This company is horrible. We ordered a part in March. We received it but then a month later, they fraudulently charged my card again without ordering anything. This put my account they used in the negative. We called and spoke with two people and they said it would be taken care of immediately, it wasn't, which caused my account to accrue an overdraft charge. When I called two days later they said it would be taken care of and I would be refunded the $40 overdraft fee. This never happened. We also said to remove our card from their system, well they lied and today my card was charged again!!!!!!! Don't ever use this company, they are fraudulent liars and will take your card once and then repeatedly charge it without your permission or purchase!!! Horrible company!!!! read more

They send you the wrong part (damaged), and then expect you to send it back to them at your own expense, and then want to send you the right one, only once they've got their part back. They are also extremely rude. Yury, the sales manager, has no idea how to speak to people and put the phone down on me while I was trying to explain to him what HP had said to me. First and foremost the 2-Day shipping was severely inflated. The product that my company received was defective and went out less than 35 days from date of receipt. After requesting a refund we were told that the amount would be credited to our account within 48hrs. After 5-days and two e-mails we received a call. Julissa provide invalid information and stated that our the funds were credited to our account on the day the refund confirmation e-mail was sent. However this was incorrect. After persistence, my colleague was transferred to Accounting Department where Alfredo assisted us and the funds were credited to our account immediately. I order a computer top and two hinges on October 9 the price was $149.00 they said they had one of the hinges the other hinge and top would be sent out in 3-5 days. Today is October 25 and still no products. I been told many stories about my order from the impact employees even saying they shipped it when they did not. I placed an order for a computer part at 11:29 AM. At 2:00 PM and again at 3:30 PM, the same day, i cancelled the order through their cancellation page on their site. There is a box to check if you wish to be contacted as soon as possible regarding this matter. I checked the box both times. I never heard back. So, I was in the process of writing an email directly to them when an email came telling me my order had been shipped. This was at 7:30 PM. I placed an online order for a replacement battery for my notebook computer at the beginning of September. A few days later I received an email requesting a physical address because they are unable to ship to a P O Box. I responded with my physical address shortly after receiving the email and received a confirmation email that indicated that my order was being processed. Three weeks later I have not received my item nor have I received any further communication from them. I made payment through PayPal, which shows that my purchase has been completed. I attempted to login to their website to check on the status of my order. I do not remember setting up an account with them and am unable to check the status of my order without a password. I clicked the link for "forgotten password" and entered my email address. The website states that it has successfully sent me an email for resetting the password. I've done this at least 4 times and have never gotten the promised email. My last resort was to call on the phone. I'm on the west coast, and, at the time, did not realize they were on the east coast. My morning call was apparently during the managers lunch hour. The sales person with whom I spoke found my order and read off to me the physical address that I had given them via email when it was requested. He did not know the status of my order and told me that I would need to speak with his manager. The manager would return my call when he/she returned from lunch in about an hour. I didn't receive a return phone call. I called again in mid afternoon only to be told by a different sales person that the manager had already gone home for the day. It looks like my order had been cancelled and the sales person was going to process a refund for me. He gave me the name of a person I can speak with on Monday. I AM NOT A HAPPY GEEK!!! Impact sent me the wrong part. After contacting them, they were quick to take my money for a replacement part which was shipped quickly. After that is when the wheels fell off. I was promised RMA instructions the same day but did not receive them. When I followed up a week later, they said my email address was wrong. Funny, they had no problem sending me emails about the purchase of the replacement part. After contacting them again, they "corrected" my email, and they sent me an email with the RMA instructions and refund process for the first part sent. But, they did not want to refund the shipping cost of the wrong part they sent me. I contacted them and was told they would email me the same day with the correct refund amount. Once again, no email. 2 day later I contacted them again and after insisting I receive a full refund and shipping label to return the first, wrong, part they sent me I was told they would do so but would not do business with me again because I wanted to return and get a full refund for a part they sent me in error. Not that I would ever do business with them again, but now they don't want to do business with me because I do not want to pay for the wrong part or shipping to return it? I finally received a shipping label with a promise to give a full refund. But it took way too much cajoling and .threats of escalating to PayPal. They even sent me an email saying they would only refund part of the purchase. It took yet another contact to get them to finally agree to send the whole refund. You would have to be desperate or crazy to ever do business with Impact Computer. There customer service is completely inept read more

I got a bad part - dead on arrival. Dell support helped me diagnose it. I called Impact service and their cust service started an RMA. At first she said I would have to send the old one back. I didnt have a choice, but im on a time crunch this is for a Server!... THen I got an email saying no need to send back the defective unit, they are sending me a new one... Not a good experience - I'll try to be balanced in my comments. Had a hard drive crash on a high-end business computer. Ordered a Seagate internal drive from Impact Computers. The drive arrived overnight (good). However it was DOA after attempted install in 2 different computers(bad). This was a manufacturers defect, fairly rare - not Impact Computer's fault (balanced). Impact refunded the purchase cost immediately (good). I ordered a second drive for overnite delivery. It didnt arrive. I called Impact Computers to find its whereabouts and was informed it had shipped - hang on, it will be there tomorrow. Tomorrow - no drive. Called Imapct again - they indicated they would call me back with status (they didnt call back). Called Impact a third time - apparently the drive was shipping from supplier - who said it had shipped that morning - overnite delivery. It didnt show up the next day. Called Impact again - their analyst was very professional and tracked down the problem (Jose, thanks). Turns out the drive never shipped from supplier, supplier did not have it in stock, it would be 2 weeks before it would be in stock. I cancelled the order, and Impact refunded the payment. The bottom line for me is 8 days of lost work (~$10k). I then ordered the same drive from Amazon - it will be here in 24 hours. Although I'm sure there are good products and people at Impact Computers, I wont be using them again. Thats just how it works. read more

"I ordered a part that was listed on their website (Impact Computers). The part was listed as ships in 3-5 business days. After 10 days without a tracking number I reached out via customer service and was advised that the part was not in stock and that I would get it in about 20 MORE DAYS! I said ok. After 23 MORE DAYS I still did not have the part and was told AFTER I reached out to Customer Service again, that the part would take an additional 10 days to get to me. I was told that this item is listed on the website as not in stock. I said no it is listed as being able to ship in 3-5 days. She tells me that 3-5 days means not in stock. I asked her where on the site does it say that 3-5 days means not in stock? She advised me that this is the norm; what people should expect when they see 3-5 business days. Then when I say that I am willing to wait but will she give me expedited shipping when they get it, she tells me no. I said ok then just refund my money. At this point in time she advised me it may take up to 15 days to refund your $60. Do not give them your business. If they won't be honest about their parts not being in stock and holding your money hostage then they don't deserve your money. Go spend it elsewhere. On top of that when I said I would leave a review she said I hope you don't. I gave them plenty of chances to make this right. Not one suggestion of a discount for my troubles or anything offered." read more

After my last experience with Impact Computers, I hoped I'd never have to deal with them again. In December of 2015, a battery failed on one of my PERC 6/i RAID controllers. Dell doesn't sell this part and the server was out of warranty. Impact Computers was the only place I could find a replacement battery from anyone other than poorly reviewed, overseas Google Shopping and Amazon sellers. Since Impact was in the U.S., I decided to give this another shot. The battery I found wasn't new but refurbished and was labeled as such on their site. I paid extra for two day shipping. It shipped the same day but did not arrive until 12/28, which was UPS's fault, not Impact's. The battery has been working since I installed it, almost two months ago. Much better experience this time and this is the review I feel they deserve for this order as they had a part that not many others had and the whole transaction went smoothly. read more
