two bowls of noodles and a take out box
Lauren K.

Do not eat here. The food here is terrible. But since Asian food at Kingwood options are limited, we do pick up here. Today, they got the order wrong. I called. They were absolutely rude. Did not apologize. Told us to drive back and they will charge us for the right food. But that means our other items will be cold. I worked in restaurants. You should apologize and you should give the food item free if we have to drive back. I will not be going to this restaurant. Terrible customer service.

Hardly any chicken all onions- when I asked for specifically no onions

Food was not good I asked for extra chicken no onions and I got a lot of onions with hardly any chicken

We placed an order for take out and even though we didn't start eating for almost 30 minutes after getting the food, everything was still really hot. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal, averaging $7 to $8 and including brown rice, a soup and a spring roll. The spring roll only had cabbage in it, which was disappointing, but everything else was spot on. The gauge of a good Chinese restaurant is their kung pao and this was exactly as it should be. Not too sweet, and had the right amount of peppers, onions and peanuts in the dish. The chicken is all white meat and extremely juicy. The Szechuan shrimp could have been a tad spicier but I just bit into the pepper whole in order to jumpstart the spice! It came with a good amount of veggies too. The favorite was the General Tso's chicken which I haven't had in years. For the chicken to still be hot and crispy even after waiting awhile to dig in, speaks volumes. If I lived here I would be doing take out at least once a week!

menu

excellent food. our long time go to for Chinese in Kingwood highly recommend. we usually order from the lunch menu. this restaurant also offers discounts with the Kingwood Mustang card and when paying with cash

I have been eating at Hin's for many years but just recently ordered take out to take to my parents when visiting home and it was great! I ordered in the restaurant and it took only about 10 minutes of waiting for the nice hostess to bring me my order. I ordered a large hot and sour soup, a vegetable friend rice and the eggplant from the veggie list. It was enough to feed my family of 3 with a little bit of leftovers. I was extremely excited to try their eggplant and it was just as good as I thought it would be! I'll definitely be coming back to Hin's when I'm in town again visiting!

Great food, we compare other local restaurants to Hin's and they don't stack up. Very friendly staff who have been in KW for over 20 years

IYKYK - this is probably the best Peking Duck I've had in Houston in a long time. I've done Peking…read moreCuisine for years and shifted to Arco for my duck cravings, but if you're willing to drive out to Humble (pretty much anytime you're in the IAH area), you gotta check out Bamboo House for the best Peking duck. And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

Left No Grain of Rice Behind (and Met a Track Star)…read more (10/10) My husband and I wandered into Imperial China on a quiet night - just us two lovebirds and the immaculately clean scent of... well, perfection. Seriously, the place smelled so fresh you could probably perform surgery in the dining room (don't worry, they stick to cooking, which is way more impressive). But the real MVP was Kendall She ran the register, served us, and basically orchestrated our entire evening with the grace of a future Olympic athlete... which, as it turns out, isn't far off! She mentioned she used to run track and is getting back into it. Let me tell you, that explains everything. The speed at which she refilled our water? Blink-and-you-miss-it. The efficiency of her service? Faster than the hurdles she used to jump over. We half-expected her to hand us our fortune cookies while doing hurdle drills over the chairs! Kendall, if you're reading this - you're amazing, and please save some gold medals for the rest of us mere mortals. Now, the FOOD. Oh. My. Wok. We're usually "leftover champions" at Chinese restaurants - it's practically our marital duty. But not this time. We ordered the Combination Fried Rice loaded with goodies) and the Hunan Chicken (spicy, savory, downright addictive). It was so unbelievably delicious, so flawlessly cooked, that we licked our plates clean. Seriously. Not a single grain of rice, not a stray pepper, not even a suspiciously saucy smudge escaped. Our dog is currently giving us the stink-eye because there were zero take-home boxes. Zero! Imperial China broke our leftover streak, and we're not even mad. And as if the universe was nodding along, our fortune cookie sealed the deal: Thursday will bring trust on your new journey." Considering our journey involved demolishing enough food for three people and meeting a future track legend, we'd say it's already pretty darn trustworthy! Overall 10 out of 10. Flawless cleanliness, food that made us abandon all dignity (and leftovers), service faster than Kendall's personal best, and a fortune that felt weirdly on-point. Imperial China, you've won our hearts, our stomachs, and our clean plate awards. We'll be back... probably on Thursday. Just in case.
