This is my favorite hidden gem in Warwick. There's a wide variety of flavors from Korean, Vietnamese to Chinese. The challenge can be determining what you want from the huge menu, but once it arrives, you won't be disappointed. You're always treated like family by the owners and servers, and there's a warm familiarity of the place that feels like a part of the local community. The only improvement I could see would be to close the doors and sell the business to someone who has passion for quality and consumer critisism. 2nd chance, first time chowmein tasted like dirt, chicken fingers tasted like 3 week old fish and chip oil. Called to complain owner didn't care, waited quite some time to give a second chance. I ordered a #17 thinking you certainly can't #$#@ that up. But guess what , they did. 16 and change for less than 1 pound of food that at best looked recycled from the dining room. Disgusting never again. 2nd time ordering.. and off you like booting into grease then this is the place to go. Both times were have went the rice had never been hot. Room temp at best. If you ask for extra soy sauce.. you will get 3 packets total. Def not enough to make the rice have any taste. Crab Rangoons are just filled with cream cheese don't look for any crab. Dumplings have more meat inside than most and they're juicy. Wish there was more than 4 in an order though. Crab Rangoon is decent, not too sweet so that's a plus. Egg rolls have great flavor but could use some more pork. Hot and sour soup is different but it's a good different. It doesn't have that thick, sliminess so that's a plus. Jade Dragon, aka Judy's, has to be the absolute best Chinese restaurant around! We have been coming here for years, and yes it is worth the 45 minute drive for their awesome food! Our most recent visit was for a family gathering and to enjoy some great food and drinks. All of their appetizers are amazing, but the dumplings are a must! Jade Dragon also has the best drinks around. Many typical drinks found at a Chinese restaurant, but Judy can be very creative and come up with some amazing concoctions that are sure to please. For the meal itself, my personal favorite is the hon sel duck. Nice and crispy duck with delicious veggies. But you truly cannot go wrong with anything here! We will be coming back for many years to come! read more

We decided to try this place since we've driven by it a few times. We ordered the Korean bulgogi and the Thai basil beef. Both dishes were very good. The bulgogi beef is a bit thicker and sweeter than the typical dish but nonetheless it was enjoyable. My husband actually reheated his leftovers the next day which has been unprecedented in the history of any Chinese takeout we've gotten. The staff was very nice and answered all of our questions. This is by far the BEST Chinese restaurant around!!! We drive the 45 minutes to get here because it's absolutely worth it!! The food is authentic and so delicious!! It is definitely "old school Chinese food" not like the "fast food Chinese" that's everywhere nowadays. My absolute favorite is the Chicken Chow Mein Cantonese style... omg it's SOOO good! My mouth is watering now just from writing this review!!! lol We have tried many different things on the menu and we have never been disappointed! We always leave with leftovers and it's always just as good the next day! The owner Judy is an absolute sweetheart. She is super friendly and she makes some amazing drinks! Wow! Judy doesn't ever disappoint. Followed Judy and her husband here since the 80's . We had chicken wings added to combo plates. Batter is light,Shrimp delicious! Flat canton noodles in the lo mein! Super yummy. Wait staff was very attentive. Margarita great. But stronger than I'm use to. When I told Judy that, she said that's the way she makes them. Awful! As a dedicated customer for over 30 years, under different management, I was disgusted. The shrimp are like chewing a tire, Chop Suey was well overcooked. Two out of three of us were sick all evening. When I called management, in my opinion, the situation was not handled properly in a business manor. I ordered a garden salad through Grubhub and discovered that it had bacon on it. I called the restaurant and they informed me that the garden salad is supposed to come with bacon; however, that is not stated on the menu. The person on the phone was very nice and let me know that I could call Grubhub to get it sorted out. Grubhub did refund my money, but we're unable to return to the restaurant to get another salad. I ended up giving the salad to someone else. I also had the vegan rice noodles and spring rolls which was pretty good. Heads up that the spring roll is fried and not a fresh spring roll in rice paper. And I'd ordered tofu and veggies to eat for my lunch the next day. I had that today and it was very good; however I had it without rice because the restaurant only offers white rice. The food is good, but there aren't many healthy options. There are some vegan options, but the garden salad isn't one of them. read more

Growing up in RI, the Jade Dragon was always our go to Chinese take out restaurant. The food has been flavorful and authentic for the past 20 years. It is affordable and take out is always ready when you go to pick it up. Some of my family's favorite meals are the fried rice, lo mein, crab rangoon, and wanton soup. In all of the 20 years we have visited Jade Dragon we have never been disappointed. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and located on a busy road so we typically stick to take out, but I promise you that whatever you do you won't be disappointed. On top of excellent food, all of the staff I have encountered over the years has been pleasant and fast. Whenever I go to grab take out the woman at the register always sparks up conversation and makes going to pick up your dinner much more than a business transaction. So my fathers friend recommended this place bye the looks of it I thought ohh boy this food is going to sucks. Well I was wrong the food was amazing made fresh every time I have ordered. The old lady who answer the phone is so funny and very helpful. The pepper steak is really good and not fatty at all. The Chinese vegetable soup was really good as well loved the corn and pea pods with carrots and mushrooms and what I think was cabbage. I also enjoyed the boneless spear ribs they are so full of flavor and tender. Highly recommended these. The chicken teriyaki is the only thing I do not like there it's dry and has no teriyaki flavor to it. My father loves the chicken chow main combination plate. Highly recommend this place they make it fresh to order and are so friendly. read more

This place was pretty terrible... We walked in and stood there without any acknowledgement until a customer at the BAR said to us, just go sit anywhere... okay... We ordered a Scorpion bowl from a VERY friendly waitress (she was the only good part of our experience here), but we waited and waited.... we were on a tight schedule, and after about 15 minutes started walking out until we finally see the owner making our scorpion bowl, which was terrible. It was all some sort of sugary 'mix' with God knows what else in it... Ugh! Hubby got soup, which was okay... I got a shrimp cocktail, which was probably the worst shrimp cocktail I've ever had in my life.... dried up shrimp and hard.... and the shrimp were very small .... blech... Hubby got rice that had a 'burnt' smell to it.... he didn't really like it. I got shrimp with bean sprouts that was okay, but way too much thick brown sauce on it... and on it, was the same shrimp as the ones on my shrimp cocktail... not fresh AT ALL! I won't come back here, ever.... as I looked around, there was DUST everywhere... on the walls and pictures hanging on the walls.... so dirty and gross!!! The ONE waitress that was on was a doll, though... she was running around the place trying to please everyone.. she was the only good thing about our experience there, otherwise I probably would rate this place a one-star only... read more

I 101% agree with the previous reviewer. The food, delicious. In typical New England style, there's chow mein, french fries, chicken, gravy and lots of it. The menu is large with tons of different combos to choose from. Unlike many other Chinese digs, the food is super fresh but also made to order: a little extra pepper? A little less onion? You got it! The owners are just absolutely lovely- Judy is sweet as a peach. Throw in a comfy atmosphere, lots of bar drinks to choose from, a family-like environment and super friendly, prompt service and you got the best Americanized Chinese restaurant in the state. If there was one thing however, that I would change, it would easily be the seating area. While it most certainly may have been suitable at one time, considering their well established popularity, it definitely doesn't cut it on weekend evenings- this place can become very packed, very fast. Now if only they could take over the entire mini-strip they're located in! Overall, this is one of my absolute favourite Chinese places in RI. Outsiders may find it requires a little bit of an acquired taste however: after living in several states I have found no one does it best like New England. read more

I had dinner here with three friends. The service and the servers were friendly and engaging which made up for the quality of the food. I had shrimp lo mein, with the lo meIn noodles being undercooked. The brownie sundae dessert was off the hook though! The major drawback is that the restaurant is not handicapped accessible. There is a big step to get into the restaurant. The hallway to the restaurant was made too narrow for a wheelchair by stacks of chairs. Was looking for Chinese to be delivered to our hotel but they would not deliver one hour before their closing time so we picked it up. We ordered the sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken combo platter. The sweet and sour sauce is the weirdest thing I've ever tasted. It had cherries and pineapples in the sauce. I've never seen cherries in sweet and sour sauce. Neither of us ate that dish, it was way too sweet. The rice was a bland fried rice that was better than the main course but certainly NOT good either. Lastly, the egg roll was green inside, not sure what it was stuffed with. Again, weird never had an egg roll like this. We threw out both meals without eating them. Perhaps this is a good place but NOT for sweet and sour dishes. read more
