I arrived at Imperial Toyota for a 12:15 p.m. test drive and was told that was the first available appointment while they prepared the vehicle, but the car was not available until 12:40 p.m. because another salesperson had been using it for personal purposes despite claiming a customer was viewing it before me. I found personal items in the car (wallet, Apple CarPlay cable, paperwork), which the salesperson said belonged to the other staff member when I asked. Advertised features on their website, such as wheel locks, were not included. The online listing was misleading: the "Buy For" price effectively adds $1,000 if you do not have a trade‑in; in small print it states a $1,000 trade‑in bonus is included in the sale price while dealer fees are not. The salesperson sent the front‑desk receptionist I met earlier instead of a manager, saying they could not drop the price because another customer was ready to buy it with a trade‑in; I stood up to leave, then the manager came and said they would give me the advertised price. If you wonder why they sold me the vehicle instead of the other customer with a trade‑in (who would have generated more profit), it is because no one else was actually looking at the vehicle. During paperwork the finance manager added a $215 Protection Plus charge I never authorized or signed for and pressured me to purchase a $2,900 warranty, even making an unprofessional remark when I declined: "I will let you make that mistake." I made a second trip to the dealership and they removed that charge because it violates Chapter 93A of the Massachusetts General Laws. The overall lack of transparency and professionalism left me feeling scammed, deeply disappointed, and deceived. A few months ago I bought the same make and model from a Subaru dealership and the experience was the opposite: I was treated with respect, the online price matched the in‑person price (aside from disclosed dealer fees), and there were no hidden fees or games. Avoid Imperial Toyota of Milford's service department. This was on a 2025 Rav4 with less than 10,000 miles on it--clearly still under warranty. I brought it in for a legitimate issue and instead of properly diagnosing it, they immediately blamed "bad gas" and tried to make me pay out of pocket. No real testing. No real effort. Just a generic excuse to avoid doing warranty work. Completely dismissive and a waste of time. I then went to Route 44 Toyota for a second opinion, and the difference was unbelievable. They actually took the time to diagnose the REAL issue, confirmed it was covered, and fixed it under warranty (as it should have been from the start). On top of that, they provided a loaner vehicle immediately--something Imperial refused EVERY time I brought my car. So to sum it up: nearly brand new vehicle, under warranty, and Imperial still tried to push the cost onto me instead of doing their job. One dealership tried to charge me for a problem they didn't even diagnose correctly. The other fixed it properly and treated me like a customer. If you want excuses and unnecessary charges, go to Imperial. If you want honesty, competence, and real service, go to Route 44 Toyota. Warning to anyone considering buying a car here Here are the issues I experienced: 1. Hidden fees: They added extra charges that were not clearly explained. If you don't read every line of the contract carefully, you may end up paying for things you never agreed to. 2. Misleading financing: They told me that no bank was willing to approve my loan. Later, I found out they only applied to a few very uncommon banks -- ones I don't even have accounts with -- so the denials were expected. AWFUL experience from start to finish. Car price wasn't as advertised (because of small print BS around trade in value), then I was told there was no wiggle room until I was about to walk, and suddenly they found the "room" and they honored the price. Every time I called with a question, I seemed to get different answers. When I called to ask about the amount that can be charged to a card for a down payment, my husband and I were given three different answers by three different people. When I picked up the car, the fuel was almost totally empty (great service), there were belongings from the previous owner in the center console(gives so much confidence in their detailing and cleanliness), the back wipers don't work and need to be replaced (there isn't even blade on it - are you kidding me?), and now, only two weeks later, the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON and I am being told they will only repair it at a FARTHER Imperial location from me - DESPITE THE FACT that they will have to ship it to the closer one to repair it anyway!! I wish I was making this up - it is RIDICULOUS. This is AFTER selling me a $3000+ warranty and telling me that this covered me for EVERYTHING and that I could repair it ANYWHERE I WANTED with NO LIMITATIONS - but suddenly this expensive warranty doesn't "kick in" until after the used car dealership warranty ends - a fact that no one bothered to mention at the time and no one seems to be able to answer for what length of time this is dealership policy even lasts. The woman I spoke with on the phone to confirm all of this was very rude and kept repeatedly talking over me and was completely unhelpful as well. 100% will NOT return - avoid buying your car here if at all possible. My car originally had a massive water leak from a Safelite windshield installation gone wrong, which caused serious electrical and module issues. Safelite admitted fault and set me up with Toyota in Milford to fully inspect the car, dry out the carpets, and check all electrical systems. They were supposed to lift the carpet, dry the car, and properly scan for issues. Instead, they didn't took out the carpet I could tell, claimed they scanned the modules, and told me everything was fine. I know for a fact they cleared the codes instead of addressing them. I got the car back and immediately still had problems alarms going off randomly, dashboard glitches, and the seatbelt alarm on the driver side still not working. I brought it back, but the service department acted like they weren't listening and seemed more focused on finding ways to bill me than actually fixing what was wrong. Eventually, they brought in a "special tech" who decided my battery needed replacing even though months ago I had been told my issues were electrical, not battery related. Sure enough, after replacing it, the dashboard lit up with new error messages and my AC suddenly stopped working an issue I never had before. When I brought it back the next day, they tried to charge me $1,400 just to "inspect" it, plus more for a replacement AC system. My personal mechanic later told me the truth Toyota's tech forgot to refill my AC after draining it during their battery/alternator work. Something so basic caused a completely avoidable new problem. Between poor communication, lack of accountability, and careless mistakes, Toyota Milford made my car worse and wasted my time. I do not trust them with my car and I strongly advise others to take their car somewhere that values honesty, competence, and actual customer service. read more

Their parts dept sells "OEM" parts on eBay and I made the mistake of buying some brake calipers from them, that they claimed to be OEM. Well, they sent me aftermarket parts. They looked similar to my OEM calipers but the stamping was different. I was watching a YouTube video from TRQ (who manufactures or distributes aftermarket parts) and low and behold through the install process, I noticed their aftermarket calipers had the same exact stamping as my so called "OEM" through Imperial Toyota. Service Department is an absolute disgrace, Curtis Jones is a liar and can't be trusted, we have used imperial Toyota Milford since 2022 and everything was fine until this time, we left our car overnight (11/20/25) to get serviced the next day, Curtis called and asked if we would like the 100,000 service, once he said the cost would be $1550 we said no thanks just the oil change please, later that day we got the call the car was all set, so I was going to make the payment over the phone until I heard the total cost, I told the lady on the phone there must be a mix up we just wanted an oil change, she said the manager had left and she would leave a message for him to call tomorrow morning, the next day (11/22/25) we didn't receive a call so I called them, talked to Curtis who said that I was lying and I approved the work, he said he took his time to go over every service the car needed and that he was told go ahead and do the work, that was not the case, once we heard the total we said no thanks, plus the phone call was only a minute long so his story doesn't add up. 11/25/25 i got a call from Sean the service manager, he said I was wrong, that snow was coming and I need to come pay my bill, get my car or they will charge me storage, it's 12/2/25 they still have my car, we have asked for the phone recording to prove what was said but apparently only incoming calls are recorded. My car was bricked by a Toyota Over the Air update that failed for 2 days and left me with a non functioning vehicle. I had the car towed to Imperial because my mechanic uses them for parts. First issue with them is they blamed me for updating the car software, saying that i tried to update it. I was actually working and in a meeting. Car was in the garage. Not possible. So I went to Corporate. They were no help. Imperial sends their estimates of work via pdf text link for you to sign. The work order is not clear. They use non descript buckets to describe the work. Diagnostics for 10 hours. Meaningless. I asked what that entails and was told it is what it says. Per Corporate that is for 10 hours labor. I told them I wanted a copy of the log, and all the parts, except for the battery, which the software update failure drained after attempting to install for 2 days. What I got is a large 2k bill. And a car with windows that didn't open correctly. And lots of excuses. I did get a small baggy with some chewed wires . I don't dispute the wires being chewed and that the ABS Actuator needed to be replaced. However, the software update was not done by me. These people are not trustworthy. Go to Wellesley Toyota. They are honest. Imperial is not. As a follow up when I finally spoke to the corporate office for Toyota they informed me what Imperial told them. Which was the same order of events I told them. Weirdly both my Toyotas had the same issue. Imperial cannot be trusted. They will abuse your trust and take you for an expensive ride. They violated the Massachusetts laws about description of work, providing the log from the car, and the old ABS Actuator. read more

Hard to decide if incompetent or just greedy pigs... probably both. I feel like I got ripped off when I brought my car in for coolant consumption. I explained that I had to add an excessive amount of coolant to refill to level and no sign of any leakage, and lot of white smoke/steam out the exhaust the other day when accelerating on the highway. When Gene asked if it ever overheated I said yes, once saw the light come on. Seemed fair enough to pay $150 to "have it checked out". However, with everything said and verified: Yep - we see no leaks; yep, we see white smoke, therefore you need a new engine. WHHAAAATTT??!!! I figured at worst case I'd be out $1000-2000 for a head gasket replacement but noooooo..... if you have an aluminum block and aluminum head (all Toyotas now?), then overheat + consume coolant = new engine time, period. YOU COULD HAVE SAID SO UP FRONT INSTEAD OF JUST TAKING MY MONEY!! To add insult to injury, I asked to have the wheels balanced while they had it the shop as an add-on request. AN HONEST ADVISOR would have said "You might want to wait on that until you hear about our "diagnosis" on your engine. BUT NOOOO.... all to glad to suck another $100 out of my wallet while they gave my car a death sentence for trade-in value. Turned out what came with it were additional service "recommendations". Some were reasonable and will be perused. But they also included almost $1000 in fluid replacements ! When I checked the official Toyota maintenance schedule for the vehicle, one of the services(antifreeze) is not needed for another 30,000 miles and the remainder are not recommended at all for the vehicle typical use ! Untrustworthy, dishonest service department. I've had multiple issues over several visits... 1. They said I needed a new cabin filter but I had just replaced it 2 weeks prior. They then admitted they hadn't actually checked it. 2. They old me my tires were half way through their life but they were brand new 2 months prior. Their excuse was that their tire depth gauge can't read over a certain tread depth so it always comes up as a tire wear issue. 3. When I dropped of my truck for an oil change they logged me in, took the keys and called up my truck on the computer. Good news, they said, we have a "special deal" for $79 including oil change, filter, tire rotation and checking the fluids. I agreed. When picking up the truck, the bill was $97 because they needed extra oil for a Tundra. Really? They are going to pretend they don't know how much oil a Toyota Tundra takes???
