We went for AYCE lunch and our waiter explained that we can do both: ordering from the menu (those with orange dots are only available for dinner) or going around and picking up items (Korean pizza, japchae (very yummy), corn, corn dog (it was okay), candied yucca, twisted potato, fried dumplings, variety of soup, fruits, pickled vegetables). They also have a ramen bar, fridge of drinks with jellies, tea, and bing su (shaved ice). If you want soup, get a bowl, fill it up with rice cakes, noodles, veggies, seafood, dumplings, etc. Afterwards, tell your waiter/waitress which soup flavor you want. We tried the sweet original and my friend said it tastes more like Tabasco. I tried the coconut seafood and it was bland to me. Next time I'll try the other flavors. You also tell them which ice cream you want. You get 2 scoops. Overall, the price is pretty good for all the things you have available and will definitely be back for more.

This is the best Korean buffet. It's similar to a hotel buffet, but it's actually a restaurant. They have soups, food on the bars, fish cakes on sticks, ramen, boba, rice, and teas. I really enjoyed trying different Korean dishes from the bars. I wouldn't mind coming here again, and I would recommend it for both small and large groups. Just make sure not to eat breakfast too early, as you can skip it and save room for the buffet. The service is excellent, and Harding works hard by himself. He serves and takes orders from the customers.

Corn cheese! Slightly sweet and delicious

WE. FINALLY. HAVE. KOREAN. FRIED. CHICKEN. IN. SUGAR LAND!!!!!! The real KFC has returned and I've been missing it since the beloved Bonchon closed. I love the galbi and soy garlic flavors!!! I'm also ecstatic that you can order it to go, along with other delicious set meals. For the dine in options the buffet is a solid deal! Something like $30ish per person, with all you can eat made to order dishes like tteokbokki pots and gimbop meat dishes. We tried the rose tteokbokki and it was quite yummy! You can go to the self serve area and choose all the fixings you want to go in the stew and they cook it for you in the back. I just wish they had some kind of hot plate at the tables to keep it warm. Another fav is the boba fridge. Because who doesn't love an all you can drink boba option. So many other options in the self serve area, some good, some not so good since some items don't do well sitting out buffet style (the fried things weren't very crispy anymore). But that's really the only gripe about this place. There's so much other foods to eat it's easy to just ignore the less appetizing stuff. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well! I highly recommend this spot and am so happy they have opened up in our town.

I found this place trying to exit out of a shopping center and decided to try it. We came around 7pm on a weekday and we were seated immediately. The place is clean and parking is plentiful. I love the concept of the choose your own soup base but the noodle option was very limited. Nonetheless, I opted for the seafood broth with the ramen noodles and once you add your fixings to the bowl, you send the bowl off to the kitchen for them to cook it for you. The food is good and I love some of the menu options from the food bar. I would absolutely return as everything was nice!

SUMMARY: Weekday lunch they seemed to be very understaffed. It looked like only two people were working. Buffet was missing many items, the fridge was missing many drinks. Wanted to try out because of the high rating, so we pushed through despite seeing how empty it was. Would not recommend. Service 4/5: Shout out to the two hard workers. I think the person that sat us down wasn't the host, he appeared to be a kitchen staff who acted as a host and server. I do not blame the workers at all since they had to juggle a lot of things. Food 3/5: Ordered the fried chicken, Tteokbokki, Seaweed pockets, corn cheese, sweet and sour pork, shrimp tempura, skewers, Gimbap, Ice cream. Food was pretty good when ordered, just out of stock for many things. - Fried chicken texture was nice and crispy. Sauce was decent. Honey cheese chicken could have used more honey. One chicken was potentially undercooked. - Tteokbokki was pretty good. Grabbed items from buffet to assemble. - Seaweed pockets were good. Ordered multiple times. - Corn cheese... informed us they didn't have it in stock. - Sweet and sour pork was pretty good. - Shrimp tempura was okay. Similar to Costco frozen shrimp tempura. - Skewers were good. Just took a while to get. Sadly they also didn't have chicken for chicken skewers as they were out of stock. - Gimbop was decent. - Green Tea ice cream... they also didn't have in stock. Only had vanilla. Ambiance 2/5: Was awkward because how empty it was. A lot of sitting and waiting because they were understaffed. Experience 1/5: Was extremely disappointed. Saw many videos online and reviews that showed things that weren't there. Out of stock for quite a few things. Would not recommend.

Was pretty excited and curious about this new AYCE hotpot spot in Sugar Land. Went for lunch with a friend and upon arriving, we were greeted by a courteous and attentive server. The interior decorations are trendy and has a nice modern vibe. There is a pretty wide array of Korean-syle foods - pizza, soup, hotpot, instant noodles, desserts, teas, drinks, etc. Weekday lunch is $18.45 while weekend is $20.45. Kids under 3 eat free and under 10 is $9.99 (for lunch). You get 90 minutes to eat (although we went over and no one said anything, but it was also not very busy). Unfortunately, to me to food was OK. Certain things were tastier than others, but given the price and the fact that it's AYCE, it's definitely reasonable, at least for lunch. It's a fun, casual option in the SL area, which I think would be great if I was still in my teens or 20s.

The most all you can eat Korean food options I've seen in the Houston area. Super clean, and love the variety of things. They even have boba and ice cream after you finish your meal. Super friendly service. Someone will be there a few seconds after a press of the call button Super clean place. Hope they keep it up. Will be back again soon

Came to sweet pot K kitchen for the all you can eat lunch special. Everything is made to order. Food was flavorful and delicious. Service was amazing . The atmosphere is very well decorated and clean. Absolutely worth the price and I will not hesitate to return for my next round of Korean at sweet pot k-kitchen.

The buffet section was extremely disappointing. The selection seemed much smaller than before, and the food looked very dry, old, and barely replenished. Portions were tiny, and there was honestly nothing worth taking from the buffet. I ended up just standing there wondering what I was supposed to eat. The food coming from the kitchen was just as bad. Everything took an unusually long time, even though there were only three tables in the entire restaurant, including mine. The server even brought out a dish I never ordered. By the time anything arrived, I was already too full from waiting. And when the food finally came out, it was honestly shocking. Most of the dishes had absolutely no flavor. The only thing that was somewhat decent was the kimbap. I ordered tangsuyuk, and I genuinely have no idea what they served me -- it took over 30 minutes and didn't resemble what I ordered at all. I also brought ingredients from the buffet for tteokbokki and asked for a bulgogi-style flavor, but what I received was a watery, completely unseasoned dish that tasted like nothing. Overall, it was such a disappointing experience. The food was terrible, the wait was unbelievably long, and it felt like a complete waste of money. I honestly wish I had walked out before ordering drinks. I definitely won't be returning. In the end, the orders kept coming out late or not at all, so I couldn't even eat a proper meal. I only paid for my portion and left -- $22 for basically a few pieces of kimbap. It's unbelievable. If I had donated $22 somewhere instead, I wouldn't have felt nearly this frustrated. I walked out feeling like I literally paid $22 for nothing. I'm never coming back.

I had a fantastic time at Sweet Kpot! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has a clean, modern vibe and the atmosphere is energetic but still comfortable. The food was really good as well! At first, my boyfriend and I didn't expect much, but everything that we ordered turned out to be amazing :) Our favorites was the bulgogi wrap, shrimp and mushroom skewers, candied potatoes, and the bingsu! Definitely will be back :)

Order the sweet pot and any made to order items! Pass on the buffet if you can. It's tempting but not as g Lunch includes bevs, AYCE dishes, sweet pot and a tea station.

We arrived after the lunch crowd departed, and a good thing we did. The isles around the AYCE food trays were narrow, and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the items on the buffet: "gimbap" was next to "jap chae" across from "bulgogi pizza?" Our server had a heavy accent, so when asked, "WTF is this" he had to repeat himself several times before I had any inkling as to his answer. Really annoying since we only had about 40 minutes for lunch. I finally gave up and just filled the large bowl provided at the table with condiments; Something like a Mongolian Buffet, with a couple of important exceptions. This first was protein was ONLY seafood. The second was preparation. Instead of frying the bowl's contents, you pick a broth, and chef boils everything. WHICH broth to choose? There's 5-10 choices, but knowing nothing about Korean Broths, I just threw a dart, and it was OK. Very much like Hot Pot, which I avoid except when outdoor temps fall below 0F. This NEVER happens in Houston, TX where on this particular day Real Feel was above 100F. Not the restaurant's fault, and now I, and you, know what a Korean Buffet is all about, OK? Bring a towel.

Ok if y'all haven't tried Sweet Pot K-Kitchen in Sugar Land and want to try Korean dishes, definitely come here for lunch ($20pp and $9 per kid -- sodas included). It's AYCE buffet & menu. Tteobokki hot pot, ramen bar, Korean cheese dogs, French fries bar, tea bar, boba drinks bar, Sul bing bar, rice waffle dessert bar, Korean wings, gimbap and japchae... cheese corn... bimibop bowls... we ate for 1.5 hrs waiting for the storm to pass through Service was great. The staff constantly checked on us, clearing our table and suggesting food items. You have to ask for the sul bing. You cannot walk out with your boba jelly drinks.

Chicken wings, pancake and lettuce wraps.

The inside isn't large but is well laid out making it easy to locate whatever you may need. The arrangement is (as you walk in the door) bourbons, whiskeys and vodkas on the right hand side, beers and wines in the middle with beers being in a cooler and rums, tequilas and flavored liqueurs on the left side. There are also a few specialties of the aforementioned on the left side, as well. Moonshine is located by the register for those who need something stronger to quench their thirst. The wine selection is small but there are a couple unique type wines such as a wine that is popular in Japan, Takara Plum. It's a nice white infused with plum and has a nice, light refreshing taste. The young lady working there was very friendly and helpful. It's a family owned business and they do work to satisfy customers. The store is clean and well kept, although the smell of perms and hair treatments filtering in from the hair salon next door can be slightly overwhelming. The selection isn't extensive but the products are nice quality and the prices are very good comparatively. I enjoyed browsing in here and am satisfied with my purchase. It's a place worth checking out.
