We had an amazing experience at Talyards on the Fourth of July! Talyards is one of our favorite spots--it's an amazing family-friendly place with delicious food, a great atmosphere, and some of the best hospitality around. Even with how incredibly busy they were, the entire team was efficient, organized, and provided outstanding service. Susan, who was handling order pickups, was absolutely outstanding. She was the sweetest, kindest, and most patient person, even while managing a large number of customers at once. She communicated exceptionally well with the kitchen, always had answers to customers' questions, and handled every situation with professionalism and a smile. I witnessed customers become frustrated, Susan stayed calm, smoothed things over, and made sure every order was made right. Somehow by accident an item wasn't included on our order. As soon as she realized it, she had a fresh order ready for us in just minutes. She even called me, instead of sending a text so I would know immediately. Susan, and ALL THE STAFF truly went above and beyond on a super busy day, and their customer service made a hectic holiday feel easy. Susan is a tremendous asset to Talyards, and because of employees like her, it's easy to see why this is one of our favorite places. We'll definitely be back again and again! read more

Stopped by Talyard Brewing to try a beer flight and a few bites. For the beer flight I ordered the Yard Beer, Silver Lining, Overhead Smash, and Dark Prospect. Surprisingly, the Dark Prospect ended up being my favorite of the four beers and the best beverage I had there. I also tried the Margarita and Strawberry Fresca cider, and both were just okay. For food I ordered the Bacon Glazed Brussels and they were delicious! The brussel sprouts were crispy, and I loved the combination of the onions and bacon. I also had the built your own pizza with San Marzano sauce, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon. All of the toppings were delicious, but unfortunately, the pizza crust itself was pretty greasy, flimsy, and floppy. The crust didn't hold the toppings very well, and I could barely taste the San Marzano sauce. The service was good. Everyone I encountered was very nice and friendly. As far as ambiance Talyard has a spacious setup with indoor, outdoor, and upstairs seating. They also have a playground, a big screen for movie nights, and private rooms available for events. read more

Came to Sugarland Texas for a day for business trip. Came here since it was close to the hotel. I was pretty amazed how big this place was and it was pretty busy. This would be a cool place if you wanted to come hang out with frienfs, drink some beers, and watch sports and or listen to a band. Very spacious and have place for kids to play. Ordered wings, figured they would get that right with all the beers they sell. Got 6 hot and 6 Cajun garlic. Asked the gal taking order what she would recommend for beer with wings. She recommended overhead smash. Beer was interesting, it had odd after taste which did not set well. Wings came out pretty quick. Tried the hot and it was not spicy what so ever. Sadly the sauce on the wing tasted water down buffalo wing sauce. Tried the Cajun garlic and it had some nice garlic flavor but again no spice and lacked flavor other than garlic. Over all wings were very disappointing. Beer also did not go well with the wings IMO. Definitely would not order the wings here again. Cool place to hang with friends and drink beer. read more

Great space, great atmosphere, great service. Plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating, an entire playground for kids, and "backyard games" spread throughout the brewery to play. Bathrooms were clean. There wasn't a huge selection of beers and nothing really stood out to me that would make me crave their beers. But they were all good. The food was very hit or miss. We came as a large party and had a spread. The vegetarian "enchilada" was surprisingly very delicious. And the brisket was not dry at all and had great flavor. The option to have pickled purple onions was great to go with it. The jalapeño sausage was also very tasty. The corn on the other hand tasted extremely canned and undercooked. And the pizza was more of an unimpressive flatbread like afterthought. All in all, it was a good time here with friends. read more

What a wonderful brewery in the Fort Bend area! This place is spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating. There's a balcony area for outdoor dining as well as seating near the playground. The brewery also offers several amenities, including pickleball courts, a projector for movie nights, a large playground for kids, and designated areas for private parties. They have a variety of delicious food options. You order at the counter, where you can either keep a tab open or close it at the time of ordering. You'll receive a buzzer, and once your food is ready, you pick it up at the first-floor counter. My order came out quickly, but the Fun-Ghi Pizza took about 45 minutes. The staff was very kind and even brought complimentary chips and queso to our table to accommodate my friend while we waited. Food Recommendations: The Fun-Ghi Pizza - One of their most recommended items. My friend ordered it and loved the texture and flavors. Just be prepared for a longer wait time. Beer Cheese Queso - A favorite at our table and perfect to share while waiting for the rest of the food. Gulf Coast Tacos - I ordered the blackened Gulf shrimp on corn tortillas with a side of tater tots. The shrimp were large and flavorful. I'd definitely order this again -- a satisfying and filling meal for an adult. Talyard Burger - My husband tried this one. He gave it a 4/5. While it didn't have the presentation of a gourmet burger and looked more like fast food, he still really enjoyed it. Suggestions: The parking situation could be improved. The current lot isn't sufficient for the number of guests that this venue can hold, especially on busy days. Many people resort to parking on grassy areas -- fine if you have a high-clearance vehicle, but not ideal for sedans or coupes. Others have suggested implementing better crowd control during weekend events, which would definitely help. **FYI:** Check out their special events -- there's always something fun and family-friendly happening, like Easter egg hunts or movie nights. I recently met up at this neat brewery in Sugar Land for a friend's birthday. While it's slightly off the beaten path and away from the city, I was immediately impressed by the shear size of the property. It looks like a relatively recent construction. The buildings are all modern looking, there's plenty of parking, they have plenty of outdoor seating with shade, an indoor bar and kitchen, and a massive outdoor kids play area There are pickleball courts and other outdoor activities. There are also plenty of big screens to watch sporting events or whatever they have on. We sat outside at a long picnic vent with an umbrella, and all the kiddos spent most of their time playing with all the other kids in the play area. It's a great place for parents to have a little downtime while their kids also have a blast The beer menu offers almost a couple dozen beers with all sorts of varieties and flavors. You can get a flight of 4 beers that come on this neat carved out pickleball paddle. You can also order by the glass. They have a food menu with elevated bar style foods. Pizza is a popular choice as they have a sizable pizza oven and many options to choose from. Also, they will send you a text when your order is ready The staff were friendly and professional. You guys!!!! Stop what you're doing and check out this review. I had to stop by Pct. 3 the other day and I saw this place and thought... WOW! How have I not been over here in a few years? Thats truly how time can fly by when you live in the outskirts of a big city. Anyhoo, I put it on my "to-do" list and asked my daughter if she wanted to come with. We arrived about 6pm and the entire parking lot was full so we parked on the grass right across from the lot and walked across. As soon as we walked inside of the gates someone was waiting to greet us with a smile. I told him it was our first time there and he made sure to welcome us and give us the run down. I could tell this guy is genuinely happy cause if he was faking it, thats truly a ln awesome impression. He told us about the brewery, the seating, how to order food and drinks and he even let us know that the bar inside gets super busy and not to fret cause there were two others. We grabbed a menu and walked inside of the bar downstairs. They offer salads, queso (with add-ins), pizzas, hummus, burgers, coffee, tacos and a BBB for the vegans. Once we decided on our food choices, we headed to the bar. My daughter isnt a beer drinker and Im not too much of a fan either but the bartender let us sample two lagers and thats what we ended up with. He was also friendly and eager to help us decide. Once they take your order they contact you view phone to pick it up from the same bar. We headed towards the elevator and I said "wait I dont think we can use this its for employees." One of the employees heard me and said "you absolutely can use the elevators." Im really loving the hospitality here. Our pizza got to the table first and then they personally called me once our queso arrived. There is a huge tv screen on the main ground area and they were showing a basketball game. Talyard Brewing is fairly new to the Sugarland area, but what a cool spot! They have a huge beer garden, play area for the kids, covered seating, second floor deck seating, several bars, and a full kitchen. What more could you need!!?? It is also right next door to the Sugarland Space Cowboys stadium so a great place to pregame, or watch your favorite team on TV. I met up with my old boss, who was in from out of town, for drinks and dinner at Talyard Brewery, and he was totally blown away by the place. Located right near the Space Cowboy Stadium, this spot is massive and really well thought out. The setup includes a big outdoor area with a playground for kids, several pickleball courts, a huge screen and stage for live music or events, and plenty of seating inside and out. There are also multiple upstairs balconies that overlook the stage and playground, which adds to the vibe. The crowd was full of young parents and families, giving it a fun, relaxed energy. They have a big pizza oven on-site, and while the pizza I tried wasn't a personal favorite -- it had pickles on it, which surprisingly worked -- it wouldn't be my first choice again. The beer selection was solid and varied, and the staff was really helpful in offering samples and recommendations. Great local brewery! They have such a warm and bustling ambiance. Awesome spot for families as well. They offer such a nice variety of different beers and food. Parking can get a little crazy on the weekends, wish there was more paved spots available. The beer on tap was great - there's an assortment from ipas, light, dark, and fruit beers. Also have a good root beer for none drinkers. The food is typical bar fare, you can't go wrong. The play place great for older kids, but for those with tots it may be a little overwhelming for them amongst the crowd of older kids. Wish this place had more soft play type of area for tots. There's lots to do for kids and lots to drink for the parents! TV's are everywhere and this would be an excellent place to experience March Madness! I had a party for to celebrate my husband's birthday on Saturday, and I was very pleased with the service and the food. To my surprise, we had 2 servers who assisted our guest the entire party, Victoria and Pablo and they did an amazing job!! This place is exactly what I need on the weekend as a toddler parent. They have a large playground and play area for the kids, tons of beer on tap and a great food menu with a lot of kid options. The playground area is shaded. The pizzas especially impressed me. It does get super crowded on the weekends and may take some patience to find a parking spot. Wow, this place is wonderful! I brought my kids (6&4) to enjoy the playground on a nice sunny day to joy some brews and food. The playground is quite large and kept them entertained for two hours. We got here pretty early on Sunday, around 11:30am. It wasn't too busy yet and food only took about 20 minutes from when we ordered. By the time we were leaving a few hours later it was taking about 40 minutes so plan accordingly. The service here is great and staff are always walking around to collect plates and trays. They even help bring the food out to your table if you don't have enough hands to bring everything at once! The food was delicious. The pizza is nice and thin and the beer cheese nachos and pretzels were perfect. I really enjoyed the yard bird sandwich which was much larger than I anticipated it would be. Just an update regarding the lights getting shut off at closing. They've since remedied the situation, allowing patrons and their kiddos to safely exit come closing time. Unfortunately the food still takes 45 minutes to come out, and this last trip a worker even went around telling people not to put the buzzer on the metal tables for fear of interference. So some of the folks at our table were waiting and waiting but never knew the food was ready since the buzzer didn't go off. 3 stars for food but 5 stars for fun! With a nice area in the back with a playground and running space for kids, this is a great place to bring the whole family. Adults get to enjoy the adult beverages and kids get to run wild. There are also two pickle ball courts but I think you need to bring your own paddle and ball. Stopping by on a Friday evening, this place was packed. Ended up ordering a kid's meal for the kids to share while they got their energy out on the playground. I ordered the chicken tenders with tater tots. There were three good sized tenders that were juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, but definitely needed some seasoning. Tasted maybe some onion powder but otherwise, the tenders were bland. The tots were tasty but a few were overdone. Kid's meal also come with a drink (non-alcoholic...). So this place has been popping up on my social media feed. It's definitely changing because the reason this attracts me is the kids playground! I know I know, but that detail is a key these days. We came with a group of 3 families including a bunch of kids. Parking is pretty hectic but there are a lot of people coming and going so just be patient. Once inside it's chaotic to say the least. There are kids running around and there are different lines for food and for drinks. The food ordering area has about 4 different lines to place your order. Their menu is pretty straight forward. You can also place your drink orders here as well. They give you a buzzer and your drinks now. I would check on the food periodically as our group 2 of the buzzers did not go off. As far as the food I got the Brussel sprouts, burger with tots, my wife got the mahi mahi fried fish tacos with chips and queso, we got the kids pizza with lemonade and chicken tenders with a sweet tea. The brussel sprouts were way too chopped up, so ended up being just scraps after being cooked, the burger was very meh, I liked the tots as they were crispy, the fish tacos were full of fish but very dry, needed a sauce, the chips and queso was pretty bad as the queso was completely congealed. As far as the kids meals, the pizza was average the chicken tenders was very good, lots of chicken and came with fries, probably the best thing we got. The drinks came free with the kids meals, the lemonade was delicious and seemed to be very popular as I saw every table with one. As far as the beers, I got one and it was Okay, but the thing with these breweries is I feel the beer is usually fine just nothing spectacular. So up to this point the review isn't spectacular but their playground is amazing! It's quite big and built very well with a shredded tire floor. This is a great neighborhood spot - I am very envious of those that live close by! We made a bit of a drive to check it out and kept commenting on how nice it was to have this type of space available to families - large, fenced in area with several play areas and tons of seating, both inside and out. Add to that the fact that this is a brewery and you have a winning way to spend the day. We came on one of the few, rare nice Houston days, and so did lots of others. So much so that they ran out of pizza dough - that should tell you how popular this place is! We ordered a few apps and just enjoyed the space. I love the location, the vibe, the seating, the different areas both inside and outside. But... the beer is limited (very hops heavy - all of them) and the food is not good. We tried the chicken sandwich (tiny and nothing on it), the shrimp tacos were ice cold, the Tejas chicken Caesar salad was ok but the croutons were chewy (yes, chewy!). It's a brewery and a restaurant. We're so excited it has opened and we hope they are listening and reading feedback so that they can improve. They definitely need to improve the food. I heard several others complaining as they picked up their food. Staff was definitely friendly. I think this place has the makings of a great place as long as they improve the food and bring in a wider variety of beers. This brewery is the best thing to happen to Sugar Land. Sugar Lans definitely needed something like Talyard and because of this we wanted to love it. Let me tell you, this place is big and has a little something for everyone from beers and ciders. The playground is very cool, the big lawn area, inside seating, upstairs, downstairs with full kitchen and even food from the pit. The ambiance is nice but even after several visits, we have not yet loved anything on the menu. Baked potato was dry, barbecue was very greasy, so greasy it fell apart while eating. The lobster mac and cheese was actually lobster bits and orzo which lacked in flavor. Service is amazing! We do enjoy our time here and the definitely the beer! We were here to celebrate a 50th. The food at the party was pre-selected. Pretzels with beer cheese for dipping, falafel with tzatziki, chicken skewers and beet sliders (yes, beet sliders!!). I had gotten the Gemut Oktoberfest and then the zapf festbeir. I have had a lot of beer and specifically oktoberfests and these were both on par.
