I came into their office because I was finally experiencing enough discomfort to just get it over with. Upon first impression, the receptionist I interacted with on my consult day was super friendly, and the assistant that took my x-rays and everything was very personable. I really liked Dr. Haynie as he was down to earth and made me feel pretty relaxed about the situation. They even gave me a neat "goodie bag" type thing full of useful things like a coffee mug, mints and headphones, which I thought was sweet. A few days prior to my appointment however, I had some last minute concerns and questions. When I called to speak to the receptionist (different one that who I had spoken with before), she seemed like she couldn't be bothered and my questions were cutting into her lunch break or something. She was in such a hurry to get off the phone, that my questions weren't answered and I was just brushed off. This was pretty disappointing, after my initial positive experience with them. I ended up searching out answers to my concerns from a primary care physician. The day of the surgery went pretty well, though. I explained to the nurse/assistant gal my fears, and I didn't even have time to panic about the IV. Seemed like she was putting it in one second and the next I was waking up in the recovery area. They even had a neat room for my husband to sit while waiting, where he could watch Netflix and eat snacks, he thought it was a nice touch. Later that afternoon, I was concerned with how much and how long I was bleeding, so I contacted the office, and once again spoke with the receptionist who brushed me off and failed to answer my questions. I really liked Dr. Haynie and the surgical assistants, but I do wish that the receptionist I dealt with was more attentive, it definitely would have resulted in a 5/5 experience.

I went in for treatment and left with a care credit bill of 4k. A few weeks later they called me and said I had a few hundred dollars credit and wanted to know if I wanted something else done so i went back in and a few weeks later i get a call saying the same thing. So they are overcharging my care credit initially in order to get me to come back so they can charge more. I also got 18 months 0% but it starts the say of the first visit...so even if i went on 3 months later on the "credit" they claimed I had that 0% would hve been from the initial appointment and charge date. Seriously shady dealings in my opinion. I would not recommend Loftus.

I decided to go back to my other dentist because this practice felt like an assembly line for dental care - not at all to my liking. In March (2018), the crown virtually dissolved in my mouth. Loftus agreed to take a look. The office attendant tried to charge me $116 when I checked in - I refused. Anyway, despite the fact that the crown failed (shattered) after only 5 years, Loftus informed me that I would have to pay full price to replace his inferior work. I left and made an appointment with my regular dentist. He told me he has replaced failed Loftus crowns for other patients. Find another dentist!

For all the rest of the work needing to be done he gave me a referral to an oral surgeon and another referral to a Denture Clinic. I did some research on the places i was referred to and I did not feel comfortable going to the oral surgeon based on the negative reviews about that business. So when I contacted Dr mosby's office again to let them know that I was going to be seeing a different oral surgeon but I would like to still see Dr Mosby for the part that he said he was going to do, the office lady told me i couldn't be seen there because they didn't have time for me now. She told me they hadn't had a vacation for years and they all wanted to go on vacation. So I guess if you want to make your own decisions and find a different person that you didn't get referred to then they will make up excuses and just drop you and leave you hanging.
