The receptionists were awesome. Thats where the "good" experience ended. I had an abscess tooth. I now have 3 messed up teeth, the experience was like something out of a horror movie. They tried to get me to come back in to fix the broken temporary bridge they put in, they literally installed the temporary bridge in 2 pieces, NOT how you install a bridge, hints the name "bridge ". Went in to get s set of Dentures , paid the 29 dollar fee for X rays and assessment, they took X rays and they told me I had had to have all my teeth pulled before I could get dentures, but before they started to remove my teeth I paid $200 cash to get things started to have a Mold taken of my teeth, Why take a mold of my mouth with my teeth still in was to ensure I would use their services, ( Bait) . After removing my teeth they used the mold they took before my teeth were removed to make my set of Dentures, why not wait to take the impression of my mouth after my teeth were out is beyond me, Results were the First set of Dentures fit Horribly, So a Second set of impressions were taken 2 weeks after removing my teeth and took about a month to remake the 2nd set of Dentures, the results were Horrible. The proportion of the Top teeth were very large compared to the bottom set, So I went in again to discuss my concerns and was treated like I was Trash, So the Owner which is the practicing Dentist on site, after arguing with me, She Agreed that the 2 ND set of Dentures did not fit correctly and I was told to Throw away the 2 ND set of Dentures She then Personally took impressions of my Gums for a Third set of Dentures to be made that would fit correctly ,Meanwhile it has been 2 months since my teeth had been removed , Meanwhile i was Continuesly asked to Upgrade my policy, it took another 3 weeks to complete the third set of Dentures that the Upper set of Dentures did not look right and was told that they would have to remove the Soft liner for them to look right, after they removed the soft lining the dentures kept falling down and I was told to purchase Sea-Bond so they would remain in place, which they did not... Meanwhile it had been almost 3 months since my teeth were Removed. This all costed me With insurance over $4,000. I Contacted Corporate office for a Refund due to their Policy of Satisfaction Quaranteed and was told I would ONLY receive $1,395 back. This Dental office is a Bait and Switch routine, They prefer $$$ over Patient Care. read more

Aspen Dental over charges for their work. I went to aspen because they were the only dentist that took Medicare for the work I needed done. There were only two dentist that took insurance and both were ASPEN offices and 50 miles away. My local dentist gave me a price that was considerably lower but I thought finding a dentist that took my insurance would be less. I was wrong. Going to ASPEN ended up costing me about $1000 more. Not only did I pay more but then they kept coming back to me for more money. I was told by the callers that the extra charge would be taken off. Three times I called and I was given the information it would be taken off but they kept calling and wanting the money. I will never go to ASPEN again and I would urge you NOT to go either. They do not see you as a client, they see you as someone they can gouge you for as much money as they can get out of you. read more

SCAM ALERT!!!!!! I went here and the dentist looked in my mouth for about a minute and said I had gum disease and needed a " deep cleaning" ($1,000), that I had 3 cavities and one needed a crown. I knew it seemed funny, last time I went in to a previous office everything looked great, no cavities. I felt like they were pushing cost and procedures..... It felt like a used car dealership. ......so I went to a reputable dentist office for a second oppinion......well, no need for a deep cleaning, no cavities, and certainly didn't need a crown. Terrible. They bait you in with "financing options," then sign you up for a high interest line of credit, then proceed to bombard you with thousands of dollars of services they recommend, even an overpriced toothbrush. They charge UP FRONT which is ridiculous! They do this because when you have an issue like I did, they'll claim they can't give a refund because the service has already been performed. I had 2 composite fillings done for chips on my molars. Fixed one fine, but one she just put composite on the top of the tooth and didn't even fix the chip in the back!! I have photos of this, and it's quite obvious to the naked eye. Of course I couldn't tell when I left being numbed up. This is also after my initial consultation and x-rays, the Doc says my tooth already had a previous filling when I raised concerns about her diagnosis that I didn't have a cavity, it was just chipped from my bite. That tooth was never filled! This is the owner we're talking about! So then she doesn't do my filling right, and rather than go back and have that incompetent so called doctor mess around in my mouth anymore, I'm out $270 for a service that wasn't completed correctly. I have never felt more appreciated as a patient, more concern for my well being, more attentiveness to my comfort, more eagerness to help me achieve my goal of feeling better about my dental health and my goal of feeling proud of the appearance of my smile than I felt immediately when I entered Aspen Dental in Coeur d'Alene! I was immediately put at ease (I was very nervous) and I walked out with a plan to achieve my goal of Dental health beginning just a few days from now. Everything was made perfectly clear to me as to the plan to get me to where I wanted to be and things got started right away to help me achieve my goal. My Dental Assistant Ashlee was made for this job. I don't feel she even looks at it as a job but a way to help folks know they are welcomed and appreciated and feel they can achieve their goals because she was a delight from the very beginning making me feel like I'd known her for years. Talking with me and reassuring me all along the way as we progressed into the things that needed to be done to get me to my ultimate goal. We laughed a lot! Then I had the pleasure of speaking with my Dentist, Dr Mahmood, and she as well explained everything and answered all the questions I had with a reassurance I was going to meet every goal I wanted to for myself. I was then shown a video of exactly what my care would involve and I was ready to go! I then spoke with another member of the Team, Chris, who helped me achieve excellent financing so I could attain my dream reasonably. All in all, it was one of the most pleasurable experiences I've ever had in my 73 years dealing with something that isn't always something you like to do and that is dental work. If I could give no stars I would. The worst experience of my life. Not only did they screwed up the extractions (I have to go to an oral surgeon to remove 9 root tips left in) the dentures were made wrong. I couldn't wear them and my mouth wouldn't close with them in. After 2 months of having to go in and they just kept relining I went to cda denture clinic and had a set made there. So I went into Aspen and demanded a refund for the dentures which I received 3 weeks later. About a month after that I received a pill for an additional $751.00. I called and just got Theron around so I decided to call them insurance company. As I was going over the bill with the insurance with the codes for billing the insurance co told me the charges they were charging had already been paid for by them. So I gathered up the papers that I received took them in and went over them with Aspen. I thought well finally this nightmare was over...wrong. A week later I received a bill for $152.00. Same senerio they were double charging again. The woman that ran the billing dept would not take my calls and I went into the office and she was never there. So I began to email her disputing the charges. At some point she must have gotten tired if me and responded. I was able to show that according to her records that not only did I not owe $152.00 but with the amount they showed I paid after the amount that I paid after the insurance paid that they owed me $355.00. That was well over a year ago that I sent her the email they owed me I have emailed 20to30 times, never getting a response. My advise Do Not Go To Aspen Dental! They are crooks who charge the insurance then charge you for the same thing. They don't know how to make dentures and you will have to go elsewhere to fix their mistakes. I'll start off on the positive side first, Dr Padilla was great, he was caring, managed my pain very well and had a great bedside manner. And the assistant (Kirsten) was professional and super nice. Now let's get to the ugly, I went in because I was having tooth pain (for 2 teeth) so then they immediately proceed to tell me I need $17,000 worth of work (that I really didn't need) and then they tried to charge me $700 for a single tooth extraction. After some bargaining, I was able to get them to agree to $225 for a single extraction. Watch out for this place because they will tell you the most expensive price first, hoping you take the bait. I went to this place because I was in pain they did the FREE exam and then proceeded to tell me I need a deep cleaning 4 crowns a bunch of fillings and Invisalign then said they wouldn't deal with my pain until I got the deep cleaning which was 1900$ and it would cost me out of pocket 10,500$ for everything so I decided to go to a different dentist they did an exam and determined I need a root canal and a couple fillings along with a cleaning this place is really there to get your money and didn't even want to get me out of pain I wish there was a zero star option read more

Terrible office. I was immediatly made to feel as I was in a car dealership. Josh who seems to be in charge of financial issues, pushed me into a plan that I was not comfortable with. I applied for credit and this office took all of my credit and applied this to services that I never had. They also billed my insurance for services that I never had and my insurance paid them. This is fraud. They say you need services that you do not need and then charge them to your insurance. I have reported them to the BBB as well as I am filing a claim with the state board of dentisty. I love everything about this office. The doctor is excellent and everyone that works there is better than you will find any place else. They give you the best service and you know everything about your treatment plan and the price you will pay before your service. No hidden costs and you can get a free first time exam with full ex-rays and they take a lot of pic's. They have guarantee's on things and I have never heard of that in a dental office before. I was so disappointed with the service I have received from other dentist I was ready to just have my teeth pulled out and go with dentures until I went to this place. I never think to read reviews but my visit to Aspen is just like others stated. It's like a car dealership from the get go. Everyone is way overly friendly and then they hit you with the upsale. Having been in the dental field for 44 years I know what is par excellence for a dental office. The CDA office doesn't come close. They charged my husband for a partial he never received as well as billed our insurance so they won't pay again. Even though our insurance did not pay it counts against the frequency. I asked them to please contact the insurance repeatedly. They did nothing. I also asked for the names of the dentists so we could talk to the Idaho state dental board. They also ignored my requests. They also charged at his last hygiene appointment for perio irrigation and fluoride varnish, neither of which was done. I can only imagine how many unsuspecting customers have been charged inappropriately. This is not the only Aspen dental office that has charged for things not done.
