My $19,000 car broke down after 1.5 weeks. Got stranded, would not turn on. DO NOT BUY LUXURY VEHICLES HERE Unethical. $19,000-S5 2008 (market value is $12,000-$15,000), test drove the car multiple times (familiar with car) purchasing above market value expecting this car to be in excellent condition. 1.5 weeks after purchasing car-of course, NO WARRANTY-AS IS, the car doesn't start up. Not even 2-weeks after purchase. Contacted Import Auto Outlet, said they could help. After many emails the dealer said he could refund me $300 for a $3,000 repair. His "mechanic" is only ASE certified. Unfortunately luxury cars need specialist for specific torque pressures and so on. They could not provide me with any credentials that this mechanic had a certificate to work on Audi. Long story short after $4,000 bringing her in for repair here it is (I will attach pictures as well): - car was missing a crankshaft bolt!! (which is the central part of a car "heart", which is the timing of the cars engine) which Audi told me that it may not be the same if i were to fix- haven't fixed yet it costs too much. ($3,000+) - the pulley tensor will soon need to be replaced ($1,000+) - the car needed a NEW STARTER! (paid $3,000) - the water pump had a lot of corrosion and was leaking (paid $1,000) - they over filled the oil I would suggest selling your cars at the value they are worth, this car was in FAIR condition and should have been sold much cheaper. If you have a general ASE certified mechanic working on these luxury cars, that a big NO get someone certified in the car needing a repair. A lot of professional shops turned me down and could not work on this luxury car. read more

I was originally going to give them 5 stars because I felt like they really worked with me and helped me out through my situation. Then after I got a car from them (2008 Scion tC) in January of this year (2018) literally 2 weeks after I bought the car, the check engine light came on. I took it to a Toyota dealership and of course the lights went off every time I was going there. 2nd, the car burns oil so fast I have to fill up a quart every week! Third, the clutch is on it's way out, the slave master cylinder is going out and I'm also hearing a clicking noise from the transmission whenever I take off. And Fourth, my engine is going to need a rebuilt , I can hear the knock especially when I'm driving at 2,500rpm. I then looked at a lot of the reviews of this place (what I should've done in the beginning) and saw the really bad ones and how much they outweigh the good. At first I was going to refer a friend here, but another dealership saw my license plate and said "Ooooh that place has a really bad reputation" To add on to that, my interest rate is 24%, when they told me it would be lower. The finance company calls me all the time though I'm not behind on any payments. If you aren't ready for at least a few thousand dollars in repairs, don't go to this place! Now I'm stuck with a lemon and I still have 2 more years with this loan. read more

Mike, Sam and Dominic are solid guys. I had been looking for a used car for well over a year and when a nice Honda Civic popped up on their website, I jumped on it. Mike was awesome about letting me take the car to a mechanic for a once over, the car checked out. More than checked out, the car was excellent for being 20 years old with only 100k miles. With that being said any negative review about cars breaking or being broke when they bought them, that is totally on the buyer not the seller. These guys are very nice. They processed everything very quickly. They are very efficient. A word of caution however: before you purchase a vehicle from here, have a pre-purchase inspection done by a mechanic! The dealer provided us with a CarFax report that said no accidents had occurred. The day after we purchased the car, a noise on the right front side starting happening. So we took the car into Midas. They said there was no way the car had not been in a recent accident. All of the bolts on the undercarriage were loose and had been freshly messed with. I believe we were misled about the history of the vehicle. No wonder the guys were nice and we were able to talk them down on the price. They also told us they had just changed the oil. Not so. It was black when we took it in the day after we bought it. We spent a big chunk of change getting the car in shape. Shame on us for not having the car inspected first. It's worth the $20 to have Midas or someone else inspect it first. read more

Well let me tell you this is the worst place to get a car from. Had a good first time getting my 350z. Might have gotten it a little over what I should have. But my second car was a damn lemon. Bought a graphite grey Evo 9 from there lot and I literally only had it a week the 4 months I had it. And then the motor blows up after just cruising for a hour. Had so many issues that wouldn't be fixed out of the time they had it. Just a botched up job in all. Would only recommend to my most hated enemy. read more

I came into this lot looking for a nice 4 door family car with some luxury and comfort. they directed me to their 2006 Cadillac CTS. It was a beautiful pearl white with tan leather interior and fully loaded features. the price was VERY reasonable and they had a complete no pressure sales approach. everything was completely up to me and I decided to test drive the vehicle. after having it for only a few short blocks I knew this was a deal and proceeded to purchase what is now my new family vehicle. and might I say I get a lot of attention and approval from family and friends! everyone there is professional, laid back, and driven to provide the best car buying experience in san diego. I cant speak for anybody else and their issues. but if you remember that these are used cars and issues happen, keeping an open mind that you're buying a car with wear and tear, that means there WILL be issues. I had a vacuum line come undone and it was a simple fix with a hose clamp. besides that it's fine. if you have blown out shocks and missing bumper tabs that sounds like simple wear and tear... 10/10 for customer service, experience, helpfulness, and professionalism. these guys are great! read more

I drive a 2015 Lexus IS 250 F sport and what happened to my car is that I parked and my bumper extended to the curb, a sprinkler was sticking out, the sprinkler went inside my bumper and when i was backing up my bumper disconnected a little bit. I went car shopping not too long ago came across this place, they had sweet cars, ended up buying an 06rsx type s , clean car fax report, didn't see any external damage. Bought the car. Noticed the back right corner panel had been replaced, car had been repainted, both tabs on rear bumper are broken and they didn't even prime the front bumper and lip so the paint is chipping, also the body of the car was shifted in an accident so one wheel sticks out a bit further than the others and the back right shock is blown out, thanks guys for being so honest, FYI: IF YOURE LOOKING TO BUY A GOOD CAR, SKIP THIS PLACE. read more

The owners have a few other local car lots. Sketchy people, you're better off going somewhere else. They act like they are taking care of you, but are actually taking advantage of you. (I understand profit needs to fit into their equation but really? They are unethical!!!). They obviously played the cards right when we were there in person... but after having time to reflect I am not pleased. In short, there was a flyer in the car window listing the price and specs. After the test drive they removed the flyer and bumped up the price a few thousand dollars. They ended up going back down on price which made it feel like they were honest (but in reality if they were honest, they wouldn't have removed the flyer in the first place..). They also didn't send the registration stickers, or even notify us that our stickers had been sitting in their office for over a month. I was randomly in the area and stopped by to ask for an update on the DMV stuff, when he pulled out a stack of registration cards and stickers (that clearly aren't being mailed out!!). Talk about unprofessional. I never want to see those guys again!!! Also, They said they would do a full detail on the car before we picked it up, however it was still dirty and there were items/trash left in the backseat. (YUCK). The car had all types of damage. Above i mentioned there were lots of dealers from my city to theirs, like Future Auto Sales, and Fas4Cars. They had the same car but older (2010) and they LIED, BULLSHITTED, IGNORED, AND FUCKED me around and even said we had an approval when there was none to be had, FUCKERS anyway. I have seen the reviews here, both good and bad, Please remember that you are buying USED CARS that are bound to have problems, THEY ARE NOT NEW CARS PEOPLE, but at least in my experience, Aaron told me the car was bought new in Arizona and then here in San Diego. I have been given the honesty and truth treatment ever since I came here and they kept me up on the yays and the nays. I did not have my license at the time and do not work on the books....they worked wit me to get a car and have a friend drive it off the lot with insurance from one of there people.... the car had a couple scratches in bumper they fixed them.... Very friendly without being pushy. Best experience I've had with a car salesman ever. I asked to take the truck I was interested in to my mechanic to do an inspection, and Erin said no problem. I was gone for 4 hours and he was totally fine with it. The truck had no mechanical issues. It had a few minor cosmetic issues that Erin had fixed before I bought the truck. I didn't even have to haggle with the price as it was under the blue book. Yeah, sounds suspect, but I've had no problems with the truck and it's had to inspections. I'm so over it! Don't buy a car from Imports Auto Outlet! It took months just to finally get the correct registration from them.. Car had been paid off since March NO title yet, and it took time over two months to give me my referral! And here's the best part of it all!! My car has been sitting NOT running since March!! I bought this car in November and the week I bought the car the check engine light came on, took it back they kept the car for 3 days, said they fixed the problem.. Got the car back, check engine light came back in again so they took it back again and once again fixed the car! Since then I have had to replace plugs, and injector coils (both of them) and the car still knocks and idols bad.. I was told by Sam that I could bring my car back for them to look at Last Tuesday.. Well it still hasn't happen.. I have a car that I can't drive!! I have been patient, nice and calm enough.. I wasn't going to post anything bad about them because I feel that these guys are a nice group of people, and honestly they do have a lot of nice cars.. But they don't freaking run, and the ones they do break down and you sink more money into a POS that isn't with anything but a giant paperweight!! Hello San Diego people, I as a learning Disability person was screwed over by these people. The first night I bought the car the battery died. I went back and had them change different batteries. After the warranty was expired, a few weeks later the engine light came on. I got it fixed and ever since then I have been taking it to my mechanic and he told me that the car was already in bad condition. I RECOMMEND FOR NO ONE TO BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. They placed tricks and mind plays and they just want your money. Please be careful because now since I have to put money into the car it disappoints me that I spent 5000 dollars on my car that was just going to have problems. I now have spend another 5000 just to have it fixed ever since I bought the car. Be careful these people do not care about you, they just care about themselves and enjoy to screw people. Please let your friends and family know. STOP BUYING CARS FROM HERE. It's sad how people decide to be wrong(EVIL) and they do not care about anyone else but just enjoying getting your money.
