The common areas and amenity rooms have definitely had their issues in the past few months, but as long as those are addressed and fixed soon I enjoy living in the complex and would recommend it. read more

When you think of a nightmare think of this place. They sell you on the amenities and location. They fail to mention that there is no guest parking and if you have a guest park in the garage it will cost them $12. There is no freight elevator so while moving in or out, you have one elevator on each side to meet the needs of the tenants as well as the movers. Not cool. Couple this with the fact that the elevators are not always operationaL. Where does that leave the disabled? With the new management, you get less and pay more. The units on first blush look fabulous, however, once you have moved in you realize how you have been duped. The apartments are constructed poorly. The apartment consistently smelled like marijuana because the ventilation from the upstairs apartment bled down to the unit which is gross. Management does nothing. If you value your sanity, you may want to look elsewhere. The advantage of living here is the close proximity to restaurants, bars and attractions. The maintenance people are fabulous and you will get to know them on a personal level, because they will be around frequently to make repairs. The negatives sadly outweigh the perks. Think long and hard prior to making a year long commitment that will more than likely make you wonder if the amenities are worth the aggravation. read more

I'd have to agree with the first reviewer. They are really off to a horrible start. We haven't had a service request in months and now, under the new management, things are taking a very long time and their response is "things are handled within 48 hours". Well, apparently it's 72 hours and counting. The days of concierge-like service is long gone. The new staff is clueless and unwilling to learn - along with completely rude and entitled. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I feel so strongly against living here, bad management being the #1 reason. They do not care about their tenants. I've had multiple different instances where they were extremely unhelpful and unaccommodating. Sam is helpful and understanding, but each other member, especially the manager Frank was difficult to work with. I've wasted MANY hours of my time having to deal with management, and it is nearly impossible to discuss with them. I don't recommend living here. Here are some notes from my experience: -We had a major health concern/scare and Frank completely ignored us for multiple days, would not call or email us back. He was in "back to back meetings, all day every day." He was blatantly ignoring us, 0 regard for the situation at hand. -We originally signed a lease for a certain unit, only to find out it was already booked and we either needed to choose a different unit or find a new complex. They were not accommodating in changing the lease terms AT ALL. That should have been my first difficult encounter as a sign to pick a different complex. -We had a downstairs neighbor that had a dog barking ALL day/night long. Major noise complaint. It took over 6 months to resolve this issue, with me calling and visiting them time after time, a log of over 30 noise incidents for them to finally take action. -Our unit is outward facing on Broadway. We are directly across from the Police Station and Fire Station. It is extremely loud. We cannot watch TV with windows open, making phone calls without being disturbed by loud sirens, sleeping through the night, etc etc. Take note of this before choosing your living location. -In addition to the sirens, there was construction going on below our building, and in two different locations across the street. I work from home and it is very disturbing. -WiFi is terrible, can't stream shows and movies -I am unimpressed by living here. With all of the apartment complexes and choices in downtown Long Beach, I would not choose to live here if I could do it all over again. read more

I love living at gallery 421. My apartment is newly renovated with beautiful wood floors and I have an island kitchen that is great for cooking. We have been having a lot more resident events lately which have been really fun and gives residents a chance to connect. I don't have plans to leave anytime soon. read more

They don't value the safety of their tenants. A random man entering and roaming our patio is of major safety concern. Security was nowhere in sight because they seem to only focus on certain areas inside the building. Our apartment is on the first floor, right by the street. We Initially moved into the apartment several years ago because we felt comfortable and safe being that the hedges on the outside shielded the patio. Cut to when the new management company (IMT) took over and started making unnecessary changes; they decided to excessively cut down the hedges that were shielding our patio without notifying us nor considering our safety. When we called to complain we were told that they would grow back but they never grew back the same. Our patio is basically on public display because people walking by can easily have access to it and look into our apartment when we have the blinds open. We've had items from our patio go missing and people roaming in it after the hedges were cut down. We've completely lost our privacy. Looking forward to moving out because we do not feel safe at all! read more

To start off, I've only lived here 3 weeks and I have renter's remorse. I've had to put in over 10 work orders prior to moving in just to be somewhat comfortable living in my apartment. I so wished I had chosen differently. IMT's motto is that if it works, there's nothing wrong with it. Well, just to paint a picture, 1) I had to purchase my own dishwasher racks because the ones in the dishwasher were old, yellow and the prongs were bent due to excessive use by the previous tenant. 2) The lighting in the bathroom were so dark, you could barely see your face in the mirror and to fix it, I was told I had to buy my own light bulbs (and this is prior to moving in!). 3) Washing machine is old, stained, and moldy smelling even though I've sanitized it twice with bleach. 4) A/C on one side of my apartment does not receive any air unless I close the vent to the other side of the apartment so that the air can push through. 5) A mirror that has stains of years of old glue seeping through it all around the mirror, will not be replace because it works. Again, IMT's management policy is that "as long as it works, it will not be replaced" excuse me, but how does a mirror work? Isn't it like paint? It's just there and is supposed to be presentable, not work in some mechanical way. The amenities and showcase model apartment looks great but that is as far as it goes. They are renovating their leasing office, gym, and other indoor amenities. Why not renovate and update the apartments first since that is where we live, sleep, and pay a high rent for a "luxury" apartment that is nowhere near luxury? If you visit IMT and see their model apartment, do not be fooled because what you see on display is definitely NOT what you are going to get in your apartment. Expect outdated old appliances, rust looking pipes, stained patios, stained blinds, dirty dishwasher, refrigerator that have remnants of food stains and crumbs that you discover as you start moving shelves and taking a closer look at what's really growing in your appliances. Don't expect deep cleaning of your apartment unless you do it yourself or pay someone / company to clean the apartment before you move in. Their constant refusal to replace anything that should rightfully be replaced, is answered by IMT management that as long as it works, it will not be replaced and if you want replacements be prepared to pay for it yourself. What you see on the tour, is not what get once you sign the lease. read more

Let me just start by saying that my sister and I have been on more apartment tours than we can count. However, this stood out as the best. As young Black women professionals, the treatment we have experienced while looking for an apartment has been terrible. Most of the time, people assume we can't afford to live in the place and so because of that the tour is terrible, they are on their phones, and they barely answer any questions almost like the tour is a waste of their time. My sister and I decided to tour the IMT gallery and booked an appointment for the same day. Upon arriving we were greeted by Jake, he ended up being our leasing agent for the tour. He sat us down and asked us questions about what we wanted as he wrote in his notebook ( this was shocking because he cared enough to write down what we were saying). He answered EVERY question on the tour and then some. I mean, he TRULY went above and behind. During the application process( which we are still in), he answered questions, called and followed up with us, and truly helped and guided us EVERY SINGLE STEP of the way. Above all, he treated us like humans and had no bias towards us. After touring many places in downtown long beach throughout the past couple of months and constantly being belittled, we finally found our place. Thank you, Jake, you are so amazing! read more

Ok I am beyond livid with this awfully run overpriced complex. And it's plain to see I am not alone. My complaints are exactly the same as everyone else's on here. Basically the building is an overpriced Christmas tree...looks great but it's just tinsel. Nothing works, apartments are shoddily built. Fire alarms go off all the time, very loud my dogs cry...one day there will actually be a fire and noone will leave it happens that often. Staff come into ur apartment unannounced, my daughter was naked..not cool. Parcels get lost unapologetically. Said it didn't have my apartment # on parcel then showed me a picture of my parcel which was taken away...and right there was my apartment #...go figure. If your job requires good internet and phone service don't even look here. Awful, this is the reason I broke my lease early. So many jobs lost because of this. So many residents say the same yet staff do not mention any of this when signing you up. My apartment was by the bbq area. 0 privacy. Parties all the time, photoshoots u name it. To get connection I had to sit on patio, always a crowd listening in. The few times I used their perks like the computer room, printers were out of ink or computers were down. The jacuzzi is gross, green almost. And in order to get my life back and be able to work in a workable environment I had to pay almost 6 thousand dollars to leave early. Absolute daylight robbery. And to find someone to complain to is even more difficult. Frank is too busy replying to bad yelp reviews and Veronica in Sherman Oaks firmly let me know there was noone other than her I could talk to about all this. My list of complaints is much longer but I won't bore you. If you are a dissatisfied resident like me, I suggest we group together and actually take iMT to court cause they are getting away with our hard earned cash yet do not provide what we actually pay for. I think it's worth mentioning when you receive good service. Robert R in maintenance came out to fix my dryer. He was professional and polite. Robert had a mask, gloves and shoe covers on, so very respectful during Covid, which I appreciate. Robert was nice enough to explain what he was doing, he showed me the problem and then fixed it! I have recently relocated to this complex from Glendora's Avalon apartments. The move was a smooth transition. Samantha, the leasing representative expressed warm and positive vibes during this process. She assisted with this complex's information and ensured that all of my concerns are met. The second leasing associate was Jen - who helped us with setting up our Luxor account, car parking, and replacement of keys. One of their maintenance staff - Kenyia, I believe - was very courteous and efficient when she was replacing a faulty light socket in our unit. The final person who assisted with this smooth transition was the property manager - Frank. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Frank. He helped us to secure a parking spot for our Uhaul. (Downtown parking... is tough during the peak hours). He was courteous to lend us a dolly since the one we rented from Uhaul was broken. During the move, Frank presented us with a welcoming gift (which consisted with many goodies for the apartment and restaurants around here!!!), showed us around, assisted us on setting up our accounts, explained the rules and regulations, and safety of this complex. He is a very nice and humble man!! These four staffs: Samantha, Jen, Kenyia, and Frank made us feel good and welcomed to be here during this transition. They are definitely the people that I can rely on should anything occurs. Complex: I am currently residing in their B1 - 2 br 2 bath unit. Inside is marvelously spacious! There were new flooring installed and the cabinets definitely fits my vibe colors! Bathroom, kitchen, and living room meets my standards. Overall, the feng shui of this space flows very well! The resident are pleasantly nice compared to my other apartment complex (where they don't think you even exist). Here, the resident would send their salutations daily. It was a bit of a surprised to me to be honest.. Next note, the complex's amenities are absolute COOL and are privately spaced out in their own respectable locations! In my previous complexes, amenities are usually coupled in the same location which can cause the area to get congested should a party occur. Here, I can enjoy the amenities without being bothered. One of the bestest thing I enjoyed about this place is that there are PLANTS everywhere! Plant arches, bamboo tress, palm tress, figs, portas plants, etc! Nature is key to my mental well-being and life! This place feels great! read more

Where do I start? When I first moved here Lyon Living managed the property and everything was kept up and the complex looked clean. The staff was helpful and it was a great place to call home. IMT took over and the building has gone down hill. * the hallways are filthy, dog feces all over the property. Not to mention the homeless people that hang out in the outer wall cutouts near the flame broiler every night. *multiple items/rooms/amenities are broken or out of order. * the gate to the underground parking is constantly broken for days on end. When the gate is broken there is room for someone to get into and break into cars and apartments. * the gym always has a couple of cardio machines out of order. * our bikes have had parts stolen off them in a "secure" bike storage room * the mail room where packages are left are constantly put outside the locker in the open for ppl to steal, which has happened. *the bug infestation going on. We have had our apartment sprayed multiple times and bugs are still visible. No one wants to live with bugs crawling across your apartment. * anytime we need something fixed it takes multiple days and multiple attempts to fix a basic problem. * the lack of communication with the leasing agency on getting things done is not professional at all. * the jacuzzi is disgusting * the worst internet I've ever experienced. Can't watch Netflix without a few interruptions. Sometimes so many we have to turn it off and go to bed. We are not happy living here at the moment and would like to see things change for the better. This is supposed to be a luxury apartment. There is nothing luxury about it except the price of rent. If you are looking for a place to move into this is not the place, right now anyway. read more

I've lived here since November and the staff is on point. Even though the amenities have had multiple issues and my apartment has needed repairs, the customer service balances it all out. Kenia, Adehrra, and Frank consistently go beyond my expectations to make sure my needs are met. The issues I've had since moving in are: broken washer (they replaced my washer and dryer completely), broken AC - twice (they made the fixes), and a cabinet door came off the hinges (fixed). When the AC broke the second time, Frank in the leasing office gave us a portable unit until they could come and fix ours. Adehrra always answers my questions quickly and honestly, even if it's not what I want to hear. & Kenia has been a rockstar since I moved in! She is awesome and always explains what she's fixing and why so that I know if another issue comes up. The frustrating part is when the amenities are down (the treadmills are broken, pool room closed, or game room closed), but they've done a better job of communicating those issues. read more

All the bad reviews are unfortunately 1000% true (Yes 1,000 percent). I moved in when Lyon Living was still in charge and everything was great, as soon as IMT took over it's been one problem after the next, which they never seem in a hurry to fix. I can't even say how many times the fire alarms have gone off since September. It happens at any and all times of the day so it could be at midnight, 6am, in the middle of the afternoon, you never know. It's extremely loud and startling so I basically have a mini heart attack every time it goes off... I can't imagine how people with small babies and kids feel. I'm really beginning to wonder if they're trying to get all the current residents to move out for some particular reason, because I think anybody who would renew their lease here has to be absolutely crazy. I was looking forward to calling this place home for a bit and now you couldn't get me out of here fast enough. I just gave my 30 day notice yesterday and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Living in the hood wasn't even as bad as this and at least there I wasn't spending an arm and a leg to be on the verge of losing my sanity. I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE OUT OF HERE! read more
