I found Steve in the phone book, had a good conversation with him over the phone, and believed he had the experience to competently tackle this newer computer without doing more damage. Steve was able to bypass the password process, access the level of corruption of the files, and segregate them into accessible folders. He ran detailed virus scans and made several recommendations for further use. I was impressed with his level of knowledge and his overall assistance. His price was very reasonable as well. I thought the tech was a little weird, but dismissed it. He said my computer would be ready the next afternoon, but it wasn't, when I called. I got a call from his FATHER after a couple of hours to say the tech was on site and wouldn't be getting to my computer. This was about 4:30 on Friday afternoon, and they weren't open over the weekend. Monday late morning I called - not ready. Call in the pm. I told them I was getting really mad. About 3:30 I went to the office and it was closed. Called again. After more blah blah and lies from the tech I told them I was going to lodge a complaint for theft against them if I didn't get my computer by the close of business. He promised to be there in 20 minutes "max" and after 30 minutes I called again. He turned up about 10 minutes later, apologizing profusely, as did the office staff. I don't know what his problem is, but he told me 5 or 6 lies over the 5 days they had my computer. Stupid lies. Maybe he needs a drug test. Maybe something else is wrong with him. Maybe he thinks old ladies' computers are not important. Whatever - don't go there. I don't know how those nitwits stay in business.

Despite numerous attempts (and diagnosis time/effort), Outlook just refused to connect up with my email server (Google). I used Yelp, rather than the 800 number (which reportedly is slow in responding). Well a Yelp inquiry wasn't much faster as I didn't get a response for a day and one half. The good news is that Ken got back to me and things went well after that. We set up a remote access day and time. The remote access works really well and he was able to figure out a couple of details that were blocking the connection (cached incorrect credentials, Google Access issue, Registry issue and 7 unneeded and worthless .OST files). He even suggested a better virus protection software product along with improved Ad Blocker software. I am very pleased with the knowledge and support of Ken. They charge for a minimum of one hour and he had me working in 40 minutes. He told me that if I have another issue, I can use the remaining 20 minutes of help.
