It turned out it used to be Lara's vineyard and I have been to it before. Now it seems expended and the place is full! So many visitors and even internationals! I was so happy to be there! Our server was amazing! I asked for his name and I forgot. Now that it is World Cup season he was wearing a Colombian tshirt but he is Mexican. So friendly and on point! They are all hard working.. if it wasn't him it was somebody else passing by offering services They have music outside. This place is so alive I didn't want to leave! The food is super good! My husband and I to this winery just by chance as I looked up one that was close to natural bridge caverns after our visit. Something about the pictures I seen made me interested in going and the Italian food . What an amazing experience food was amazing as I ordered the meatballs Caprese salad and the margarita pizza . Food was fresh and delicious and waiters were super friendly . The atmosphere was quaint, comfortable, and refreshing to sit on the patio that felt like I was sitting in the middle of a vineyard I purchased three bottles of the Zin pom wine can't wait to share with my friends. The most exciting part was to find out that the owners Sandra and her husband were from the bay area where I'm from and we're so nice and familiar to us and made us feel At home . She even offered next time to let her know if I was coming, she would show me around her vineyard . I'm really disappointed with our experience at Incontrada Vineyard & Winery. We used to come here when it was Lara Vineyards, and the service and overall experience were noticeably better. It's disappointing to see how much things have declined. My sister is a member and hosted her 50th birthday here, so we expected a much higher level of organization and service. The party had already started and the rest of our group was there--we arrived late due to work and ordered food immediately when we got there. Right after placing our order, we were told we had to leave soon, so we asked to cancel it. Instead of handling this professionally, a staff member (River Dan) laughed and told us the food was "almost ready" because it had supposedly been placed 15 minutes earlier--which was not true. Another person in our party had ordered the exact same pizza before we did and was still waiting on theirs. We canceled our order, and their pizza didn't come out until about 10 minutes later. That makes it very clear ours was not "about to come out" like we were told. The explanation we were given simply didn't add up. Throughout the evening, staff seemed confused about orders. Drink service was also frustrating. I asked what a "zinpom" was, was told it was basically a juice wine, declined it, and specifically ordered a Sangiovese--yet I was still given the zinpom and then it was attempted to be charged to us. What made things worse was how the event itself was handled. My sister was never clearly given an end time when reserving the table. We were only told to leave about 15 minutes before the cutoff. At other wineries, guests are usually allowed to move to a general seating area after a private event ends, but here the only option was to leave entirely. Overall, the lack of communication, poor organization, and dismissive attitude from staff really overshadowed what should have been a special celebration. We expected much better, especially for a member-hosted event. If this is how members are treated, especially those who continue to frequent this place despite ongoing service issues, I can't imagine how non-members are treated read more

She was patient and kept checking in on us, up to timing when to bring out the cake we brought for my dad. My husband and I ordered the prosciutto pizza and bolognese pasta to share. Visiting La Contrada Vineyard and kitchen was an absolutely beautiful and uplifting experience. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and grounding, with breathtaking vineyard views that I just couldn't get enough of! I can't wait to go back. My family and I went to La Contrada Vineyard and kitchen to attend a couple Goat Shenanigans events where we did goat yoga and painting with the goats at the vineyard and it was pure fun! I could not stop giggling the whole time. Throughout our yoga session, the goats would hop right onto your back as you did various yoga postures, and you could feed the goats while stretching in the sunshine. My daughter joined me during goat yoga and it turned into such a fun, bonding day for both of us. I suggest going during a time when you can enjoy the weather since this is mostly an outdoor facility. When we went the weather was perfect, the sun was shining, and the whole experience was enjoyable. We didn't order any food or drinks since we were at the vineyard for the Goats Shenanigans events (yoga and painting) however the breathtaking views alone, make it worth it to check this place out. Last Friday, we decided to go to @incontradakitchen_winery for dinner. It was a 15-minute drive away, a vineyard within San Antonio. I had a glass of Barbera and Hubby had the Sauvignon Blanc. We shared the Wedge Salad, Baked Brie with French Bread, Margherita Pizza, and Penne Alla Vodka. Hubby and Dad shared the Chili. It was a lot of food and a good variety. What a great spot just outside of the city! The vineyards when you first walk up are super pretty to walk through. The tables and seating between the vines were also lovely. I enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc as well as the frozen rosé which I didn't see on the menu so you'll have to ask. For food we tried the Linguine Limon pasta with shrimp which had a strong lemon taste and was great! The burrata bruschetta was unique tasting. The olive pesto was not as strong as I thought it may be, so definitely recommend. We also had the margarita pizza which was very good. I absolutely enjoyed my experience at In Contrada! We sat outside but in spite of the 97 degree temperature, we were very comfortable because of the outdoor fans. On top of this, we got to enjoy the music played by a young man who sang songs we could "sing along" to. This was my first time here. I joined my friends who are members of the wine club. They know the owner, Ed, who was nice enough to join us for a few minutes in spite of his busy schedule. Service was excellent! We were well attended to. We ordered bottles of wines along with some appetizers. They all came quickly and we were constantly checked on. The wines were good and the appetizers were delicious. Went here on a Sunday in May. First let me say the drive to this place is very enjoyable. They have lots of free parking. We did go on open table and made a reservation which I would recommend as they do get busy. So the options for seating are outside, where they do have several fans or inside where it is communal dining. So since we did not want to sit with strangers we decided to sit outside. YELP had a $5.00 off offer so when we got seated a showed it to our sever and unlocked the offer and we ordered 1 flight of wine. We told our server that we were going to share the one flight. The wine flight comes with a nice souvenir glass that you get to keep. The wine was nice and enjoyed. The restaurant vineyard is picturesque. I visited In Contrada Vineyard & Kitchen with my sister for the first time when we came to the "Goat Shenanigans" Christmas goat cuddling event during Thanksgiving weekend :) ! Before the event started, we grabbed a quick lunch and dessert at In Contrada :) ! We ordered the Kitchen Sink pizza, New York cheesecake drizzled with raspberry, and Belgian chocolate pudding, and all were really delicious :D ! We didn't order their wine at first because the "Goat Shenanigans" event included one mimosa or hot chocolate drink per person with each ticket purchase :) ! But after the Christmas goats event, my sister still wanted to try a wine from the regular In Contrada menu. So we each ordered a glass of Zin-Pom wine, and it was delicious as well :D ! We came here on a really cold Saturday during Thanksgiving weekend. So the warmth and coziness inside the restaurant was definitely really nice :) ! There was also a TV mounted to a wall that was showcasing an NFL football game, and there was a lot of chatter among other guests who decided to eat and dine inside because it was cold outside. There were heat lamps outside for guests who wanted to dine outside, surrounded by the vineyards. We probably would have done that on a warmer day. I just celebrated my birthday with friends here last weekend and loved it! The winery is beautiful, the vibe is so chill and relaxed. A perfect place to visit when the weather is just right. They have wine flights, charcuterie board, pizza, and plenty of wine to fill your glass. When you order a wine flight, you do get to keep the glass which was a surprise perk for me! (My fave of the wine flight was zinpom i think was the name...? It was the sweetest and most like a moscato. The Pinot wasn't too dry for me & I enjoyed that one as well!) I was so glad I found a winery in town vs going to Fredericksburg. However, the prices were a bit steep here not just for the glasses, but the charcuterie and flight as well. Pizza unfortunately was hard as a rock even though fresh, and majorly lacking flavor. Service was great, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Tips- If you have a party larger than 6, you will all have to be on one tab no matter what (gratuity too of course). You are able to email them directly to make large party reservations and are very quick to respond and easily accommodating! I'm a mom of 3 and I definitely don't think this place is kind friendly (unless they're much older and can sit still) so just a heads up. Keep the kids home! I went to this vineyard to continue the tradition of going to vineyards as part of my birthday month celebration. This vineyard did not disappoint. I made a reservation and when we arrived we were immediately seated inside and the fun began. My friends who accompanied me and my husband were also quite impressed with lunch and the tastings. My husband and I had the charcuterie board along with separate tastings. My friends ordered the pizza, one tasting to share and another alcoholic drink, and we all shared the food. The pizza was fresh and delicious. The charcuterie offerings were also varied and tasty. Our wine tastings were done at our leisure and pre-picked by the vineyard --yet we still enjoyed them all. Canceled membership. This use to be a wonderful place. The ambiance is great, food amazing and wine good. However the service is HORRIBLE. The past year it's just not the same. Very young untrained workers. Nobody seems to be interested in making improvements as a leader. We have had gold membership for several years. We even had our 30th Anniversary celebration with group of people and my Mothers 80th birthday there. Both visits were special occasions arranged ahead with $75 deposits and every possible failure in service happened. Too long a list to even post. We spoke with MOD both times. The service and waiters were extremely attentive and nice. I got the wine tasting platter for $28. My only wish is that the cups were extremely small and are good for 2 sips. It comes with a gift wine glass, but I wished for the amount spent- that the 6 sampling cups would be bigger like other vineyards/wine tastings since this is probably the least amount I've ever gotten. We didn't order off the food menu but when I saw other people order - it looked SO GOOD. Overall I highly recommend making rsvps as I saw them turn away people without one. It's perfect for a girls brunch date. Honestly I'd plan to have a glass of wine at another location before coming here since the wine amount is very low. Beautiful vineyard. They have inside and outside seating, but you definitely want to sit outside. They do take reservations. We went early on a Saturday and had no problem getting seated. So, it was a hot day. Decided on a white. Ordered Pinot Grigio. When it came out, the color threw me off. It was a dark yellow. It's my understanding some of these wines are infused in different barrels. I'm thinking that's what gave it the color. It didn't mention it on the menu, but that's my theory. The taste was different too. I can't say that I loved it, but it wasn't bad. I ordered the Brie to snack on. It was good portion. I shared it with my friend and even got to take some home.
