Everything was great except for the general admission tickets. We bought ahead of time not knowing that the stands fill-up an hour in advance. We arrived 15 min before the start due to our reservation at the steakhouse; there was no room at all in the general admission area. I tried to upgrade to the reserved tickets, but that was not allowed, so I had to buy the reserved outright in addition to the general admin. Seems like they could have done something for us given we spent $150 in food, $100 in the store, and then $160 in tickets. read more

Great steakhouse with amazing food and even a live rodeo! The steak is outstanding and the drinks and sides complement it well. We got a outdoor table so we could enjoy the rodeo events without having to sit in the stands. Plan ahead so you have room for an appetizer and a scrumptious dessert. My friends and I had a great first rodeo experience here at Tejas Rodeo. Reserved seating Tickets were affordable and we loved the rodeo performances and ambiance. Such a cool place to dress up in cowboy outfits and have a good time! There was a restaurant which we didn't get to try, a mechanical bull riding section, live music and entertainment in the end for dancing and a great saloon bar to enjoy drinks at and take some photo ops with the horses tail seats. I love the service and the amazing atmosphere but I wanted to provide some constructive feedback from our dinner. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of tenderness of our steak plate for 2. And I would also say the char was just a bit much at least for us. And the couple we were with ordered the tenderloin which was quite fatty. Perhaps it was just an off night for steak. Solid 4.5 star score from this multi-use facility. The location has a steak house, multiple drink areas, a barbecue concession, an outdoor dance floor, and of course, its rodeo. This ranch rodeos on Saturday evenings. Plenty of seats early in the stands, but they fill up real fast. Once seated you can get out, but your better bring your manners because you'll have to move people to get out of your seat. We went to celebrate the retirement for Army Nurse Mike Nuefeld. He put on a good spread of green beans, spicy mac'n'cheese, and brisket. The green beans were full of flavor with bacon chunks. The spicy mac was cheesy. The brisket was moist. I ordered a hard lemonade from the bar. Liz went with a classic margie. They did not skimp on the alcohol, Big cups, mean you don't have to go back as often. As the sun went down the place started filling up. The place has character and the rodeo is a great draw. Plenty of fast roping, cash grabbin, bull riding, and hog tyin... with both cowboys and cowgirls. Fun for all the family. Good cowboy times. Whoop! read more

Loved the patriotic vibes of the rodeo. Amazing talent for sure. Sitting (bleachers) was as uncomfortable as it gets. You have to get in your seat at least an hour before the show starts if you'd like to secure a seat, and I tell you, sitting in hot, narrow bleachers with no back support for 3+ hours can not only suck the fun out of the experience but also give you the kind of back pain that will last for days. I was anticipating more things to do before the show, like vendors to shop from and aside from the small, very expensive gift shop and the small tent selling hat and some leather good at the entrance, there was none. read more

We had a great night here! We came with five kids 10-17 and three adults on a Saturday night. It was the first rodeo for our Italian exchange student. I was impressed with the announcer, he did a wonderful job of explaining how scoring for each event worked. All of the staff were lovely at every concession we went to. The facilities were clean. What I enjoyed most of all was the live band and dancing afterwards. I had a great time watching people dance and doing some line dancing with my nieces. I would definitely do this again! Tejas Rodeo was a great experience! We took a day trip to San Antonio for the day from Austin and then planned to attend the Saturday night Tejas Rodeo that night on the way back which worked perfectly. We purchased tickets online (they did sell out so I would highly suggest online tickets), and waited in a small line in the car as they checked tickets but then were parked quickly. Tejas has a little "village" type area with a few stores, pavilion with live music, drink stands, food stands, and a full service restaurant, and of course the rodeo ring with stands around it. The ring is covered with open sides. We did not eat at the restaurant, so I cannot comment not that, but we did get drinks and some food from the stands outside and everything was good and fairly priced. All of the employees we dealt with were very helpful and pleasant to deal with as well! We took our seats inside (general admission) and waited for the show to start. It seemed as if all the seats had a good view and the rodeo put on a great show. There was at least a handful of different events and all of them lasted long enough to get a good idea of it but was not overly long either. We had such a good time we will definitely be attending some of the local rodeos back home in North Carolina! After the rodeo make sure to stop by the large pavilion where they have live music and lots of dancing! We did not stay too long since we had a drive back to Austin, but we had a great time. Absolutely reccomend the Tejas Rodeo if you are in the area visiting. We would return if we are back and free on a Saturday night! read more

Our group was visiting from California, but we wanted to get the full experience of Texas by going to a Rodeo. We found this place not too far off from the hub of San Antonio, and we saw good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Seats definitely fill up quickly, but as the show went on, a few parties came and left so you might be able to snag a seat when this happens. Otherwise, there's not much standing room as they don't allow you to lean on the rails. There's a big variety of events within the Rodeo that kept us fairly entertained for the 1hr 30min show. They also have food, drinks, and a mechanical bull; after the rodeo, they open up a dancing floor for you to enjoy. We bought our tickets online just to avoid any delay if there was a line when we got there, but it is $2 more online than in person. You pay $15/adult before you park. read more

Two things I wish I had known before we visited: 1. Get there EARLY to eat your food/drinks/look around, so you can get a seat. There are not a lot of seats around the rodeo arena! (We got there at 6:30, I think they open the gates at 5pm) 2. An order of tacos includes 3 (I didn't know so I ordered 2 tacos and ended up with 6) Now, with that being said, I would still rate them highly because it was a blast. Although my husband and I had to wander around to try and find a place to stand watch the rodeo, it was a great show! We got tacos and a quesadilla to eat and they were GREAT. It did take a while to get our food, but the lady and gentleman making it were working hard. I also really enjoyed the drinks that I got while we were there. Our company was invited to a special event there. They had an all-you can eat spread. The beef chunks on a stick were fantastic. The beef was marinated and cooked to perfection. The jalapeño poppers were so good I went back several times for both. The pulled pork was excellent. Just the right amount of sauce. Overall the place looks pretty rustic. Clean,very friendly staff. They had several bars open. The mix drinks were not short poured. The beer ice cold. I will most likely will be trying out the steak house in the upcoming months. read more
