I purchased a top-of-the-line kitchen from In-Ex. The salesperson, possibly the owner, Ali, was very hospitable and promised an amazing result, at first. He also stated that he would do an on-site evaluation of my home, which never occurred. In hindsight, there was a great deal of pressure to close the deal so that production could start in Italy and that we could get our kitchen on time after our remodel was complete. I wish that I had taken more time and not gotten pressured into signing off on the design. If I had measured everything out myself I would have found at least one of the major errors. I do not know anything about construction but it was required that I sign off on the plans and measurements.
The design was and is fabulous. However, if Ali had come out to our home just once several mistakes would have been avoided. For over $95,000, an on-site visit, one drive from Beverly Hills, is not too much to ask. The measurement was off by over 16". That is an incredible amount for a floor layout that is done in centimeters. I wound up having a twelve inch "filler" unusable cabinet that addressed the measurement error. I really would have liked to have had that ten inches in my kitchen. The installer jerry-rigged my much desired broom closet. It works but it is more like a Volkswagen than like the Mercedes-Benz that we paid for.
Once things were installed, some very important design issues were missing or completed incorrectly. I emailed Ali several times and received only excuses. NOTHING was corrected. I sent him a video that showed him the issues so that he could clearly see the problems. He even had the audacity to recommend that I go to a vendor like The Container Store to solve the issues that he created. He never corrected the problems. I communicated. He did not.
Great design and artistic ideas. Very poor service and no concern for my dissatisfaction. There are many amazing European kitchen design stores in Los Angeles. Honestly and sadly, I wish I had gone to them. read more
