What was supposed to be a six-month home addition turned into a two-year ordeal, and we're still dealing with unfinished details. Do yourself a favor: don't shop based on price alone. Focus on quality. Do your research on who you hire, or you'll end up paying far more in the long run--financially and emotionally. This time around, we needed to remodel our kitchen, and we approached things very differently. We interviewed multiple contractors over the course of a year, taking our time to find the right fit. Then we met Emad from Kitchen Cabinets and Beyond--and after a short conversation at his showroom, we knew he was our guy. He was completely transparent and forthcoming--a genuinely honest person. Sometimes you can just tell when you're dealing with someone you can trust. From that moment on, we knew we were in good hands for our kitchen project. What impressed us the most was that the same feeling we had about Emad was reflected in every single member of his crew. Each person who came into our home was professional, respectful, and paid close attention to every detail. The project was completed within the promised timeline. Not only that, they even took on additional work during the process and still delivered on schedule. Thank you again, Emad. We couldn't be happier with the results. We only wish there were more honest and reliable contractors like you out there.

We were honestly nervous about starting another project after having such a terrible experience before with a different contractor, but working with Emad completely changed that for us. From our very first meeting, he took the time to listen carefully and offered thoughtful ideas that really helped shape the design of our kitchen. Throughout the project, he brought in a team of true professionals who delivered excellent workmanship. The quality, attention to detail, and overall execution exceeded our expectations. We're so grateful we found someone we could trust, and we couldn't be happier with the final result.

Our project with Amin started very well, which makes where we are now particularly disappointing…read more Amin and his team handled a significant renovation for us, including structural work, a new kitchen, countertop work and bathroom plumbing. There were things they did very well, and when Amin brought in the right tradespeople, the quality could be excellent. The problem was that I increasingly felt I had to act as the quality control for my own project. We specifically requested Level 5 smooth drywall to match the rest of our house. The crew initially doing the work was clearly not a Level 5 finishing crew. Screws had been driven through the paper and the skim coating was visibly poor. Amin walked in and told me, "Drywall looks great." After I continued to press the issue, he sent a different crew who did a beautiful job. My question was simply: why wasn't that crew used in the first place? That became a recurring theme. I found issues I would have expected the general contractor to catch before I did: old aluminum wiring being reused in the new kitchen until I raised the issue; inadequate brackets supporting a heavy exterior stone shelf; a self-leveling floor left with significant rises and valleys; and a toilet flange fastened into old, deteriorated plywood instead of replacing that small section of subfloor. Concrete products were also mixed inside the house without properly isolating the work area, resulting in substantial dust. We also received windows with obvious manufacturing defects, one of which Milgard ultimately replaced entirely. When I raised concerns, Amin told me, "If you're going to start picking on the details, this is not going to go well." That comment stuck with me. I am not a perfectionist. I simply expect professional work to be done to a higher standard than what I, as a homeowner with no trade experience, could do myself. To Amin's credit, when I pushed hard enough, many issues were corrected. Throughout the project he repeatedly told me, "I will not leave this job until you are satisfied." Unfortunately, there are still outstanding items required to finish our project. We still owe Amin a remaining balance, yet he has stopped returning calls and messages and the project has effectively been left unfinished. I would much rather update this review to say that Amin came back, finished what he committed to, and stood behind his promise. At this point, however, I can only review the experience as it stands today.

I'm seriously considering requesting a refund and hiring a different company, because this process…read morehas been extremely unprofessional from the start. I was told Ashley would be calling to schedule my countertop appointment. Instead, I received missed calls from "Joan" someone I was never told to expect so I reasonably assumed the calls were unrelated or spam. For weeks, Home Depot continued telling me Ashley would be calling, so I had no way of knowing that Joan's voicemail was actually important. Then the last Home Depot rep I spoke to said "no it is Joan. that would be calling not Ashley. Joan's the coordinator". I was so upset and finally reached out to Joan and explained the mix-up, she said she would handle it, but I never heard back from her or Ashley. I then called Pacific Stone directly and was met with rudeness and zero understanding of the situation. Again, Ashley was "unavailable." I called Joan back. She said she would have Ashlay call me so I waited again. This was a ton of back-and-forth. at this point, I was just very frustrated and waited and hope that someone would call. A few days later, Ashley finally called, and we scheduled a date. I was very clear: I am not available in the mornings. I can only do afternoons. This was not a preference -- it was a firm boundary. She said she would call the day before as a reminder for my appointment and that was that. She left a voicemail the day before, but I missed it - I already knew about the appointment for the afternoon so I didn't feel need to call her back. Then I find out they showed up in the morning anyway. When I called to ask what happened, instead of owning the mistake, Ashley tried to blame me for missing her reminder call. Missing a voicemail does not give them permission to ignore clear instructions. Now Ashley is telling me that she has to get permission for the afternoon appointment. Are you kidding me? If you needed permission for something like this, you should've gotten permission the first time. Now I'm waiting for a callback. Who knows when that will be... I've now call Joan back and requested to speak with the manager, Alex, and I'm waiting for his call because supposedly he was on the other line with someone else. This experience has been confusing, unorganized, and completely unprofessional. It should not take this long or this much back-and-forth just to schedule final measurements for a small corner countertop piece, especially when we have already paid in full. If this is how the scheduling process goes, I'm honestly worried about the installation quality and timeline. Pacific Stone needs to seriously improve communication, internal coordination, and respect for customers' time.

They were wonderful to work with, and the kitchen looks amazing. My only issue is that I wished I had put the backsplash to the bottom of the cabinet instead of 7 inches in a small 4 sq foot section (definitely my mistake). I called the company to see if they could fix it and they quoted a price at 3 times what it cost per sq foot for the counter. The salesperson said he would see if there was a remenet and talk to the office. I followed up and still never heard back. Not sure if they are as good if you don't work through Home Depot so something to consider.r.
