    Chicken pot pie

Don't drive too fast or you will miss this place. Tucked away in a strip mall, the modest exterior appearance is misleading. The inside opens up to an expansive space with more food choices than you can imagine. Too many options and they all look good. Main and Market has a full bar but no draft beer. Several staff on site, and we were seated right away. Service was good and server was helpful with suggestions. They also have staff clearing empty plates so your table doesn't get cluttered. I'm only going to rate the apps and my dish: Buffalo fried green tomatoes were tasty, the spinach and artichoke dip was really good and served with little naan pieces. The waitress brought us warm bread with honey butter, which I highly recommend. I ordered the pot pie, which comes with a large pastry puff on top instead of a crust. It also had large pieces of chicken. My preference is a pot pie with shredded chicken and a crust, but this was a nice twist. We didn't have room for dessert, but if you are into monstrous layer cakes, I suggest you leave some space. They have a sign that says, "Start with dessert" or something like that and that might be my approach next time...and there will be a next time.

I wanted to take my husband out to breakfast this morning to somewhere we had not been together. So we went to Main & Market. It's close to home and all of the food I have had there at other times of day has been great. We chose a cozy booth by the window and enjoyed our coffee (their coffee is excellent). Our server was Erin, who is very peppy & pleasant. I ordered the corned beef hash, with two eggs over easy. It was a huge portion with big chunks of corned beef, potatoes & onions. It was not really what I think of as hash, but it was tasty. But I probably would not order it again. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant with turkey sausage. He loved their breakfast potatoes. They have lots of options, including benedicts and make your own omelet. So we will be back. Lots of the local breakfast places are a frenetic experience, but this was very relaxing.

I recommend Main & Market for all catering needs. I love the food, service and the presentation. Nannette and team completely upgraded our event with their professional, personal and prompt service. We ordered our Thanksgiving Dinner this year through Main & Market and also utilized the catering for an event. All our guests were in awe of the food, the quality, the taste, the presentation of the whole night was spectacular. I love the energy of the catering team, they work as a team, are friendly and kind to one another as well as to us and our guests. Whether you dine in, carryout or cater, don't miss out on a great meal. Nannette Williams how to add the extra flare to any presentation regardless of budget. Keep up the great work!

My first time here. I had breakfast with a friend. It's a cute bakery style restaurant with an intimate feel. We we seated at a nice, cozy window side booth. The food was categorically fresh and high quality. The cake slices Humongous! I would definitely dine here again.

I saw fries in the picture and got potato.chips. What's the deal? I feel like they ripped me off.

When I was there earlier this month, my friend requested fries rather than chips. I think they cost a little extra than chips.

Any plans to add more vegan items (esp breakfast options)? Is nondairy milk available?

They are definitely lighter on the sauce, so if that's your preference these are perfect. Personally, I like my wings a little saucier, so I would probably ask for extra sauce next time. The chicken itself was fried perfectly and the portion size was pretty solid. For my main, I got the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo sauce and it was amazing. The lettuce, guac, and pico all tasted fresh and paired really nicely with the breaded chicken in the wrap. My only complaint with it is they go pretty light on the guac and pico, so I wish there was a bit more of both. The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. It was pretty rough. Other than that, definitely a place I'd come back to.

I had a mixed experience overall…read more I ordered the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken had good seasoning and flavor, which I did enjoy. However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.

At Preserve, consistency is not the point, evolution is. Each visit feels slightly different,…read moreshaped by a menu that shifts with the seasons and refuses to coast on familiarity. That restlessness works in its favor. The space is compact, almost disarming at first. Then it settles around you. There is a quiet intimacy to the room, the kind that feels less designed and more lived in. It leans closer to a welcoming home than a polished dining room, without losing its sense of purpose. The food carries that same balance. Thoughtful, seasonal, and just unpredictable enough to keep you paying attention. Cocktails follow suit, measured and deliberate, never an afterthought. For Annapolis, where good options are not exactly rare, this place still manages to separate itself. It belongs firmly in the top tier of the city's dining scene, and it earns that position every time it changes the menu and starts over again.

Bright and open inside with friendly service. We ordered a handful of mimosas and got a couple of small bites to share. Sourdough Foccaccia - this was pretty good, warm and toasted. Pork Bites - I loved the flavor but thought this was pork belly and not ground pork. Overall, flavor was good but the texture wasn't great. Crispy Kale - this is very popular here and we really enjoyed it. The cumin yogurt really brought it together. Pickled Squid - Not what we expected but I actually really liked this dish. We did also order the Coconut Panna Cotta for dessert. The raspberry was pretty prominent here and wasn't as custard like as expected, just a little too soft but the flavor otherwise wasn't bad. Overall, everything was pretty good and I would visit again to try other items on their menu.
