This place is great-any latte/coffee/espresso/frozen drink combination you can think of, breakfast sandwiches all day, pastries, dairy case of desserts, and comfortable seating . Any time I find myself in Worcester I'm either here or at Birch Tree( and Birch Tree only for brunch but it's way too noisy and cold half the time), and this is definitely great coffee , service ( even the owner is super sweet) and clean space! read more

I was a faithful customer and today was the last day I will ever drink a cup of coffee from InHouse Coffee. I had bought a large iced coffee and a muffin and began my homework. A couple of hours later I was told I need to buy another product or I need to leave. I love the ice coffee flavors and the breakfast sandwich on the english muffin is so good! Real eggs on a whole wheat english muffin, very yummy! I definitely choose this place over Dunkin' Donuts anyday! The only gripe I have is the opening time...7am really? What coffee shop opens that late? The coffee here is fresh and strong and the gals behind the counter are ALWAYS nice and smiling. Be sure to have some cash for tips, I always forget and have to leave a handful the time that I do have cash. The baked goodies are also totally worth it. The bagels and coffee are great. But the wait time is horrendous. It was close to 20 min wait both times I went. Sunday morning was one person, running crazy doing coffee and food! On my other visit, the cashier did not acknowledge my party and proceeded to take someone else who had been at the back of line. It was clear she knew hi and he was a regular..but others shouldn't have to wait longer. We could be your next regular! Employees are friendly and keep smiling despite the line. Found myself hungry in Worcester and stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The staff were very friendly even though the place was quite busy. I got an egg and cheese sandwich which was very hot and fresh. They also have a large variety of coffee and tea options- the iced black tea with passion fruit was awesome. Coffee and desserts are great. Muffins are a bit dry but other than that, haven't had anything that wasn't quite good. The staff is great --- so friendly and helpful. I felt like they a "regular" very quickly. (I'd say I'm a semi regular there), but that's an important quality for me. I'll go out of my way to places that are like that. My only complaint is the space is... not the homiest feeling. The ceiling is high and the decor is.. just not that warm. It feels big. The couch and chairs are comfy which I love and they have outside seating which is also great, along w/ free wifi. All good, but I do wish they would somehow.... make it feel more homey. I really love this place. Unbelievable selection of flavored coffees and great selection of whole-leaf tea. I have never had a bad coffee here. The staff is super friendly and nice, especially Ashleigh. The sandwichs and cookies are delicious! On another note I would have given a rating of 5 stars but I have one complaint. I do not like when I am sitting trying to enjoy my coffee and food when the staff sweeps and wet mops around me. I feel it is an unsanitary condition and the cleaning should be done when no one is around. Also someone could slip and fall on the wet floor. The other people I was with agree the cleaning should not be done around the customers. read more

Very rude staff, stale croissants, and coffee so sugary it almost made me throw up. Here's a little anecdote from inhouse coffee: The girl in front of me in line asked for an internet code (they have these like 15-digit, one-time use codes to get online -- and btw, the internet is extremely slow), and they said no, we already gave you one. She reminded them that since they'd given her her first one, she'd ordered a second cup of coffee but had forgotten to ask for a new code. They still refused. Then I ordered my drink, and talked to the girl for a moment while I was waiting. When I asked for my internet code, THEY REFUSED, because they saw me talking to this girl and insisted that I was lying that the code was for me -- that I must be getting it for her. It was pretty unbelievable. I would never go back to this place. read more

I come here at least once every couple of weeks, and always get an iced soy chai latte. It's probably my favorite beverage on the planet. Service is always absolutely wonderful, and everything is very consistent. It can get a bit loud/crowded, but it's worth it. The outdoor seating is great! read more

Worst customer service ever! I was sitting at the outside tables after ordering an iced coffee when the wind caused the umbrella to flip the table over (while I was sitting). My coffee spilled all over my phone and textbook and I got cuts on my fingers from trying to prevent the table from flipping onto me. One of the ladies at the counter came out to help bring the umbrella down and told me that she would see if she can get me another drink. I waited a good 10minutes and did not hear a word from her. I went back inside and asked the person at the register (John) if I could get another drink since the umbrella flipped over and he said no that it was not his fault that the wind caused the table to flip and that my cup was already "just ice" when it happened. I just ordered the coffee and I basically took 2 sips so it was a FULL cup of coffee. He basically accused me of trying to get a "free" cup of coffee when I PAID for a coffee that spilled due to THEIR unsteady table. I asked if the patio was the property of inhouse coffee and that he is responsible for making sure customers are safe while on property premises. He told me to "get the fuck out and never come back" after I asked for his name (John). According to him he is the manager and I was just shocked at what happened. I have never had such bad customer service and I left in tears. I am emotionally traumatized at what happened... all over just a cup of coffee. I hope John gets fired for using profanity in the presence of customers and also for judging me based on my ethnicity and dress. Just cause I look like an innocent college student does not make me a target for such horrific customer service. I doubt this would have happened if I was a white woman dressed in business attire. He insinuated that my friend and I were there to steal electricity and internet, because I sat down and started working on my computer before I ordered (mind you there was a long line when I came in and I hadn't noticed it had died down). When we told him he thought his behavior was rude, and that we had been regular customers, who always purchase beverages and food, he said he "didn't care" and he "didn't need customers like us." The coffee is O.K. but the food is terrible. The pastries and muffins are ultra dry and very very stale. You can tell they are days old. The staff reheat the pastries before giving them to you because they are so stale they crust and flake apart. And the "fruit" fillings are so stale that its like biting into a mix of molasses and sandpaper. And reheating them doesn't help one bit. The muffins also taste like cardboard. Gross gross gross. I've given the pastries more than 1 try and each time they let me down profusely. Will never go here or recommend them again. read more

This place is nice enough. The people behind the counter were nice. It has a bit of a chain vibe and they seem pretty uptight about the wifi and bathrooms - 2 hour code for the wifi and a code for the bathroom. I'm from out of town so maybe they had a big problem with loitering... dunno. read more
