Review #887 2025-058 Food Order: Double-Double (double beef patties & cheese, lettuce, tomato, spread; add grilled onions & pickles), Cheeseburger (beef patty & cheese, lettuce tomato; no spread), Animal Style Cheeseburger, French Fries Since I moved to the South Bay a couple of decades ago, this was my 1st In & Out Burger restaurant. This location is next to (west of) the 110 Fwy. & very crowded... it's different than its sister locations in that it's more for takeout (with dual drive-thrus) than hanging out due to the very limited seating indoors & out. It's not my fav location due to the proximity to the freeway (cough, cough) & congested lines. I think I only dined onsite once, & I can't remember if there's a restroom or where it's located. The dining space is horizontally tight with 2-person tables, seating 10. When there's a line (& there's almost always a line) & the seats are taken, it's a tight squeeze to order, wait for your order, & pick-up your food inside. However, the staff is super efficient in fulfilling your order ASAP for you to enjoy a hot, juicy burger with crisp fries. It's a simple menu of hamburgers & cheeseburgers, fries, & drinks that's executed well. If you need a combo, just ask for 1, 2, or 3; there's no discount with combo orders. Prices used to be really cheap in comparison with other fast food burger places, & it's a decent, satisfying portion. What sets In & Out Burger apart? It's their fresh, quality burgers that are never frozen, so there's no freezers or microwaves; in addition, fries are hand-cut daily, & buns are baked locally. For those that are not aware of their secret menu, here's a list for the newbs: * Animal Style: mustard-grilled patty, extra spread, grilled onions, pickles; * Mustard Grilled: mustard-grilled patty; * Protein Style: wrapped in lettuce instead of bun; * Flying Dutchman: 2 meat patties with 2 slices of cheese in between, with no bun or vegetables; * Grilled Cheese: 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, spread on a toasted bun, with or without onions; * 3x3 / 4x4: 3 or 4 patties + 3 or 4 slices of cheese; * Wish Burger (aka Veggie Burger): vegetarian option with just bun, lettuce, tomato, spread, pickles. I usually order all my burgers with extra lettuce & tomato, grilled onions & pickles for my family, except son gets his plain with veggies & ketchup; he isn't a fan of the spread. I also add a couple of pickled chilis (normally located by the ketchup station), & you need to ask the cashier for them because there's no soda fountain or condiments station here. Perfect, fresh burgers every visit. Buns are warm & nicely toasted... meat cooked to perfection with a nice char, & I always request for extra veggies, grilled onions, & add pickles for my burger, with the occasional animal style cheeseburger for some oomph. And the last couple of years, I started requesting an extra spread for my fries. Yum! In-N-Out, that's what a hamburger's all about... definite fans here!! Highly Recommended: everything!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this location since it's one that we frequent. Very small inside if you decide to do that but probably 90-95% of people who come here do the drive thru. Lines can get long but staff always working hard to you on your way. It's In-N-Out so of course the burgers are delicious. A Double-Double with a whole grilled onion is my go to. Just be patient if the line of cars is long.

We actually accidentally routed to the wrong location and not only were we surprised we were at the wrong one, we stumbled upon the smallest and most interesting In-N-Out Burger we've ever seen. To set the scene: the indoor capacity is 14, the restrooms are outside and you need a code, there is no soda or water fountain and you have to ask for it, there is no ketchup station and you have to ask for it, there is no napkin dispenser and you have to ask for it. In addition, the location is right off the freeway so lines for the drive-through go out to the street. During rush hour it's really difficult to go in and out (pun intended) of the small parking lot. The inside was quiet but the workers are so close together so you hear them working in the kitchen. They even announced how many people were ordering as we walked up which is something I've never seen at an In-N-Out. We got our standard orders of burgers and fries and the food was fine. However the whole experience at this location just took me for a loop. The food will still be what you expect but other than that you won't find any of the typical creature comforts you'd find at other locations.

Protein style Cheeseburger with brown lettuce I mean it's clearly visible and you still decide to give it to a customer like that.

Yeah this is definitely by far the worst location I've ever been to. I gave it a couple tries, and they never fail to disappoint, rather I walk up or go through the drive thru. Today I went through the drive thru which took almost 40 minutes so I certainly wasn't in and out. So the drive through has 2 lines, and the guy literally took the other lines order before coming to me and I was ahead of 2 cars. He came to me and said "give me one moment, I'll be right with you", and proceeded to walk off behind me and took their orders, then came back to me. I did not like that and they definitely were out sooner than I was. When I got to the window a nice lady told me my total and asked if I wanted any ketchup, so I said yes and told her the additional condiments I needed. As she was walking away, a guy quickly intervened and handed me a bag letting me know that all the condiments I wanted were there with my fries. But it felt like he was rushing me to go. Later when I looked, it was just a bunch of sticky ketchup packets stuck together. They were clearly old and reused and I just couldn't believe how bad of an experience I had. I will definitely be contacting management because it felt discriminatory. Very small, difficult entry, long wait!!

This is a small no frills location, more to-go and drive through than an ample dine in style In-N-Out, but that's what good hamburgers from what is marketed as a drive through, is all about. The service is only slow because the demand is high and the burgers are cooked to order fresh. The staff are friendly. It's in a congested part of town to a degree, so parking is harder than most locations.

This one is closest to my house. Food is the same at every chain. There better not be any new version at any other chain. You complain you had to wait 30 minutes for in and our burger. Either you are too impatient or you never worked in the food industry and it shows. A lot of the times you come back here anyways. Get over yourself. Ambiance, same at any other spot. I have given much grace to this place even when my fries are over salted. You cannot beat this deal and i doubt you would ever give up on in and out because of service. This is the best fast food burger chain in the world with the freshest ingredients. note the same meal I order I ordered jump up two bucks. Dang you inflation.

You order inside and pick up your food at the window outside, and the whale mural surrounding the pickup window is such a fun, memorable touch. There are a couple of benches outside if you want to eat there, although I noticed most people seemed to grab their food to go. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the Cash Burger, and it was packed with flavor. The burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Even a simple burger here tastes like it was made with care. The truffle Parmesan fries were another standout--crispy, flavorful, and completely addictive. We also tried two dipping sauces: the habanero cream and the chipotle. Both were delicious and added a unique twist to the burger and fries, but the habanero cream was definitely my favorite. It's not often you find sauces that elevate an already great meal this much. My only suggestion would be to improve the outdoor seating area. The benches could use a little more attention, and having a better trash setup would make eating outside much more enjoyable. One thing that really sold me was my one-year-old. She absolutely devoured the burger! I usually have to work to get her to eat anything besides quesadillas, and even In-N-Out can be hit or miss with her, so that says a lot. Overall, I'm so glad we stopped here. Between the amazing food, fun atmosphere, and beach-town vibe, I'd happily go out of my way to come back. If you're anywhere nearby, don't miss this spot!

Their burgers are pretty good, although I feel they were even better in the past. I used to go to their Lomita location (which has since become a different restaurant), and I remember the burgers being served on brioche buns that really stood out in taste. I'm a big fan of fresh-made burgers rather than fast-food style places, and I don't mind paying a bit more for something made fresh. Their menu has great options overall, and the lunch box is a solid value for the price. The homemade onion rings are especially good. The only issue I consistently have with this location is the fries. I've never received crispy fries here. There is now an option to request "crispy / well-done" fries when ordering online, but it doesn't apply to all menu items, and it still doesn't seem consistent. What I usually receive are soft, oily fries that end up tasting more like steamed potatoes, which I personally can't enjoy. I don't think most people would prefer fries served that way over crispy ones, so I really hope they can improve on this part of the menu.
