There's a full section of greeting cards, stationary, planners, notebooks etc. Plus a small section with Vermont touristy/souvenirs. What's not to love?! They also have a cafe. I did not get a chance to visit it since I was happily overwhelmed by all the books. The third floor has the children's section which has colorful decorations, as well as cards, trinkets, journals, and vinyls for sale. Northshire has friendly employees who were very helpful. I am pleased to report they have a large used book section on the second floor. I will definitely be visiting this charming place more often!

Stereo equipment, jewelry, clothing, cds, and RECORDS!!! New! Used!! Repressed!! They have it. For the most part pretty well organized as well. One of the few record stores that actually has a country section! I found a bunch of albums that I hadn't seen before. Great find! I ended up with a couple of dozen albums that were a mixture of new and used, rock, metal and country. There's also a display case with pins, patches, buttons, and asst heavy metal wristbands etc where I did get some pins I haven't seen in decades. When it was time to check out, no bags. Nope. Don't want to have bags rip. A nice heavy duty shipping box that had all the packaging material so the records couldn't bounce around in the box. Very very considerate. Only downside was parking. While I did find a parking spot immediately in front of store, the pay kiosk is half a block away. I'm old and lazy. There is a walmart across the street with free parking. Had I paid attention, I would've parked there. But that's the only downside. I'll be back in Rutland in about a month. I will definitely make time to revisit this store. Thank you.

Good selection of modern rock, punk, alt, and 60's rock. GREAT selection of audiophile pressings. Some wild Japanese vinyl from The Who that I'M DYING to own. They know what they have, and it's priced accordingly, but stuff that doesn't move seems to get discounted (despite what Discogs says it's worth) Clean, organized, friendly staff, no pressure. It's slowly becoming my favorite record shop.
