Nice, family-owned record shop. When in Brattleboro I aways try to stop ad but something. They have a record player use can listen to used records before you buy. You can find vinyl, cd's, and small collection cassettes. The prices are fair, they have a decent selection. read more

Been here a few times over the years. I don't live in Vermont, otherwise would be more of a regular. Last time I was there found some cool vinyl records. It's stocked nicely, def worth a visit. Might be the best thing downtown. read more

Awesome record store! Stopped by here with my son while visiting local colleges. After visiting the Brattleboro we stumbled onto this gem of a record store. Now my son attends college locally and takes frequent trips to the Turn It Up stores in Brattleboro and Keene NH. Super nice staff that really cares about music. Great selection of new & used records & CDs. I haven't checked out the used audio equipment yet but will do so on my next foray to VT. read more

Was heading back home to NYC this past Summer and stopped for the day in Brattleboro. Of course, the second I saw this record store I had to go in. Not only does this shop have a fantastic selection of CDs, LPs, and DVDs, but they've got tons of band merch and posters. Along with that, the guys behind the counter were super helpful when I inquired about a particular band's album that I didn't see when browsing through their collection. While they ended up not having the album I wanted in stock, I still walked out with a few other CDs, and one DVD at very reasonable prices. To me, the absolute best thing about this shop is that they dedicate a small space to the music put out by the local bands in town. That to me is fantastic. That's what all music shops should do, and I commend Turn It Up for actively supporting their local music scene. Kudos. read more

This is like my favorite store. I'm a classically-trained musician which means I'm into music of course! BUT, that is not all that Turn It Up has. Movies too. So, all in all I would call this my go-to music and vid store in Brattleboro. read more

After spending about an hour looking at records at In The Moment, Turn It Up was kind of a let down in regards to records. Nothing against Turn It Up, it just wasn't what I was looking for when browsing. The records weren't labeled based on condition, and the selection was small. They did, however, have many CD's and other media available for purchase. I'd suggest it for that, but not really for the records. They seem to be connected to an art gallery while had a display about skateboarding up that was interesting, but smelled like B.O. If you need a CD, go here, but if you need vinyl, In The Moment is the place you need to hit up. read more

It was cold outside on a windy day in March. We waited forever for the crosswalk light to change colors. On the corner sat Turn It Up and so we decided to go in and warm up. This Turn It UP in Brattelboro has a fine selection of Prog and alternative rock. The records are worth the look. Prices are fair. There always was a non connected audio equipment store and gallery through the hallway in back. read more

Great selection, really friendly workers, and AMAZING prices! They have a super 5 $5 DVDs for $20 deal, and all VHS tapes are a buck a pop. They also have an art gallery in back... so cool. All the stuff is in great condition as well, and never shrink-wrapped, so you can always check before you buy (a big plus for me). read more

It's not my favorite Turn It Up location but it's definitely my second favorite. They have some pretty cool CDs (not awesome enough to own a record player) and their selection is diverse enough that it makes it the only place in Brattleboro that carries music I like. They also carry a good selection of local musicians' stuff. The folks are friendly and I kinda love poking around the tapes in the back. The reason why it's not my favorite location is that there's a lingering smell in the back of the shop. Something like a cross between pot and something else? I can't stay there long, which is sad, because I always want to spend more time looking at the bargain CDs. read more

This is a nice CD shop, I love that they have comics which is very cool. The record collection is a little shabby but it's there. As for the Cd's, they have a wide selection and the prices are really fair as well. read more

At Turn It Up you can find many releases that are around 5-10 USD. This is particularly nice if you have recently discovered a new band or musican that you want to get caught up on, you can do so at Turn It Up at a relatively decent price given their older music. The staff present at the store is for the most part helpful. read more

Turn it Up is a great record store and is reasonably priced. Their election of vinyl is not great, but when you find something it's usually really cheap. Good CDs are usually $5-$8 and I find myself walking out with 2 or 3 every time I go in. I stop by every few weeks and there's always something new, their selection changes frequently. read more

The selection here is great. I found an import single from the Scottish band Travis for $6 after tax! Amazing!

Went looking strictly for vinyl, unfortunately just a lot of beat up junk. Prices are great but tough to find something to walk out with. Will give the Northampton location a try. read more

Haven't been to Turn It Up in a couple of years, panicked when I didn't see it where it used to be, until I realized it had moved across the street!! The new location is nice and spacious, a huge improvement over the old store! My go to place for CDs. They have stuff no one else does! Always walk out with a few new items for my collection, and the prices are great! Worth a trip if you're in the area, a few minutes off I-91. read more

Nuthin' special. Prices weren't great for used CD's and the relatively little vinyl they had wasn't very impressive. As another reviewer noted, was impressed by the In the Moment store down the block. Great vinyl collection. read more
