In the food court at New York Market. I think the only thing my stomach can handle here is the California roll. They've got a full nigiri/sashimi menu though. Tried the shrimp tempura out of the bowl of seafood udon soup. I've had better. Pricing is decent though. I think it's 2 rolls for $7.50. The seafood udon was about $12.

Ikura should not look like this.....

Came here only because they were open before other places were.... Will never come again. All of the fish tasted like it had been frozen for a while and the Ikura (salmon roe) was disgusting. I order salmon roe from all different sushi places and have never had it look white like this and it also tasted horrible. Not sure if it's because it was frozen like everything else or if it's because it was really old.... And to top it all off they're more expensive then other sushi places and then all you get is old, nasty, not fresh sushi. Bleck!

The restaurant has moved to to a new location inside supermarket Ranch 99 in Gaithersburg. I picked up the sushi platter there for a party, great value and presentation! Ingredients are fresh and there is a lot varieties to choose from. The owner and his wife are super nice. Definitely my first choice for take out if I need to order any sushi.

Loved the unsweetened homemade lemon ice tea here!!

Freshly made sushi everyday. Every time I come by, I found new flavors. They have been updating their menu quite often. Must try their smoked eel w/ rice. They use the mid section of eel where gives the most complete flavor of eel. Definitely worth buying!

I was hesitant buying sushi from a chinese supermarket, but this place is top notch. The value is incredible. The menu selections are limited (do not expect to find salmon belly, toro, or sea urchin here), but the rolls that are on offer are made fresh to order with high quality fish, and properly made rice. The people running this place are great too. This sushi stall in the food court is another reason why New York Mart is worth going to. The neighboring restaurant which sells Peking ducks is fantastic as well.

    Dragon roll is delicious!

Great price for the quality and quantity. Definitely a good place to order party platters.

This was honestly one of the most disorganized restaurant experiences I've had in a long time…read more The service was confusing from the moment we sat down. After waiting a while, our waitress finally came over and took our order. We ordered an appetizer first while deciding on our entrees. A few minutes later, the exact same waitress returned and asked if we wanted to order any appetizers, apparently forgetting that we had already done so. I specifically asked whether the salmon in the Philly roll was fresh or smoked because I don't like smoked salmon. I was assured it was fresh. When it arrived, it was clearly smoked salmon. The bao buns were actually pretty good, although the lettuce was wilted and looked like it had been sitting around for a while. A different server eventually took our entrée order. Less than five minutes later, that same server came back and asked if we were ready to close out our check, despite the fact that we were still waiting for our food and had not received our entrees yet. When the food finally arrived, the ramen was disappointing. The noodles were undercooked and the broth was excessively salty. The katsu curry was the highlight of the meal and was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the miso soup that accompanied it was overloaded with dashi powder and tasted overwhelmingly fishy. Which made sense with the overpowering fish market smell upon entering the restaurant. To top it all off, when we were ready to leave, the server brought the credit card receipt for signature but forgot to bring a pen. Between the repeated service mistakes, incorrect menu information, lack of attention to the table, and inconsistent food quality, I'm genuinely surprised this restaurant has managed to stay in business. There are too many good ramen spots out there to justify returning here.

I arrived at 2:30 PM to order dinner for takeout, but the restaurant was already closed. I spoke…read morewith the staff, who confirmed that their posted hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. When I asked why the restaurant was closed before 3:00 PM, I was told that the kitchen closes earlier. Unfortunately, there was no indication that service would end before the posted closing time. This was disappointing, as I made the trip during their advertised business hours expecting to be able to place an order.
