Yosemite national Park with family and tour guide

My family took the private 4 day Yosemite Sierra's trip. Our tour guide Brandon was well versed on the history of the area. We found him flexible for our schedule. Most importantly he was very considerate and accommodating to our elderly parents who joined us for this trip. For his thoughtfulness we highly recommend him and will be doing future tours with Incredible Adventures.

My wife and I did the Muir Woods and Sausalito package on 05Sep21...Our guide, Jake (I think this was his name, was just awesome! Jake did a narrative of the history of both locations and also personally engaged, which was very nice... Knowledgeable and down to earth! Cost of quality is on the mark... Highly recommend this tour service, guide, and package.

First and foremost, if you take anything from these reviews, this isn't a "Tour" Company like advertised, its a shuttle service. They pick you up, and drop you off. In the case of Muir woods, they aren't actually even allowed to give tours! We had a good time, but the only credit I can give to them is picking us up and dropping us off so we didn't have to drive. You're essentially paying for a shuttle and the admission, which for us worked out, but don't expect an actual tour. I booked the half day trip to Muir woods and honestly, it was pretty nice! The trip was the perfect length, we got there and back smoothly, and Muir woods was absolutely beautiful! If you're in SF and need to get out for a few hours, this was worth it!! Our guide was very polite and fairly knowledgeable though a little more information about the GG Bridge or Muir woods would of been great. Everything about SF has been great when dealing with Covid, however there was a passenger in our van that didn't wear his mask during the trip, and I wish the guide would of said anything at all about it. The 3/5 rating is for not enforcing the masking in the small van mostly, though I do wish there would of been more commentary about things we were seeing too.

My husband and I did the 2 day tour to Yosemite with Incredible Adventures (via Viator). The trip was exactly as described. There were only 4 of us on the tour so it was very casual. James was our driver/guide and provided us options on what we could do for the two days. We stopped at a grocery on the way to buy lunch and snack supplies and did the same on the return trip. I felt like we had plenty of time to see what we wanted and did a few hikes, but if you're a hard core hiker you would probably need more time in the park. Overall, it was a great experience! Highly recommend.

We had a great time on our Incredible Adventures Muir Woods and Sonoma tour! Our tour guide/driver Aaron was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience. We really enjoyed spending the day with him, learning lots of interesting info about the places we visited and things along the route. We were the only couple on this tour because the others canceled last-minute. We started in SF at around 8:10am and did a quick stop at the Golden Gate Bridge. Then to Muir Woods, followed by Robledo Winery. Both stops were totally awesome! We've been to about 6 wineries in Sonoma, and Robledo is now our favorite. We stopped for lunch in Sonoma Square (we recommend Hare & the Hatter Sausage Emporium), then went to Homewood winery and finished with beer at Carneros Brewing Company. Homewood was very good, and Carneros was just okay (we are beer snobs). We returned to SF at around 6:15pm. This was the first tour of this kind that we've been on. Definitely worth a little splurge - it was nice not to have to plan anything for a day, and of course having a DD for wine tastings is always a good thing. We really recommend this tour!!

Taken through the van window, this is a view of the forest valley below.

So, instead of our usual family trip to another country or state this summer, we decided to become tourists in our own backyard and booked an eight-hour San Francisco Alcatraz + City Tour, including Muir Woods and Sausalito. The tour cost $179 per adult (nine of us) and $169 for one child, and we even booked a hotel nearby the night before to make sure we'd be on time for our 9am start. We all met beneath the iconic Fisherman's Wharf sign, where Patrick was our guy! Patrick was knowledgeable, witty, and engaging--he kept us entertained with fascinating facts about San Francisco, fun trivia questions, and even handed out Ghirardelli chocolate as prizes. My man and I answered so many questions that we ended up with almost half the bag! Even though we were a bit hungover from pub crawling the night before, Patrick's energy kept us awake and involved. He thoughtfully included the three kids in our group, telling them to count Priuses on the street and quizzing them with their own set of trivia. Along the way, he pointed out some quirky facts, like there being more dogs than babies in San Francisco, and made sure everyone felt part of the experience. Patrick pointed out several billionaires' homes, as well as highlights like Chinatown and Japantown. We made a memorable stop at the Presidio and Fort Point for stunning views and photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. Patrick even volunteered to take group pictures for us and made sure we had time for restroom breaks. After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, we made our way to Muir Woods. Though we only had an hour and a half--just enough time for my older siblings--my man and I left wanting more, wishing we could explore beyond the designated paths. The towering redwoods, some between 400 and 800 years old, were awe-inspiring. I'm sure there were even more breathtaking sights we didn't have a chance to see. Next, Patrick took us on a drive through Sausalito, pointing out popular restaurants and an old recording studio once frequented by celebrities. After dropping off a few tourists, he guided us to the starting point for our Alcatraz Tour and left us at Fisherman's Wharf for lunch. We felt a little sad knowing it was the last time we'd see him--at that point, we were on our own for the rest of the adventure. Although I've visited San Francisco many times--unlike my siblings--I still learned so much from the tour. We all had a great time, even my man who lived in the city for several years. While I initially thought the price was steep, by the end of the day, it felt completely worth it!

My tour guide was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun facts, local tips, and recommendations that made the experience even better. I also loved that the group was small (about 8 people in the van), which made it easy to ask questions and actually see everything without feeling crowded. The three photo stops are short, but they're at excellent viewpoints and perfect for getting some Instagram-worthy pictures. As a solo traveler, I honestly can't recommend this tour enough. You get an incredible amount of value for the price, and it's a great way to get your bearings before exploring the city on your own. I'd recommend keeping notes of the places and recommendations your guide mentions so you can revisit them later. One thing that really stood out was the customer service. My original booking didn't meet the minimum group size, so I was moved to a different tour. Unfortunately, that caused me to arrive late, but the guide was incredibly gracious and made me feel welcome without any hassle. Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or as a family, I'd absolutely recommend this tour. It's one of the best ways to kick off a trip to San Francisco.

Pros: + The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. + Once you get on the island and go through the 5 minute orientation from the NPS ranger, you're free to roam about. + The audio-guided tour is actually REALLY good. It was my first time and I thought it would be cheesy but it was engrossing and informative. + Restrooms were very clean and not crowded (at least not the guy's restroom). + There are some truly AMAZING views of the bay. Bring a travel-safe camera. Neutral: ~ There's restrictions on food and drink (only bottled water is allowed in the majority of the park). So plan ahead. ~ San Francisco traffic is real and kinda sucks. Plan ahead for delays. ~ A good portion of the park is outdoors (which isn't a negative but means that it's impacted by the weather). It gets super windy so plan ahead and dress appropriately. Cons: - The price is indeed a little high. I don't think I'd go here all the time. Once every couple years is probably fine. - A friend told me that there's a LOT of bird poop around and they were right. It's not enough to impact walking but does detract from the experience slightly.

Poor Service Experience with Alcatraz City Cruises…read more I'm writing this review to share my experience with the company's customer service, specifically around their cancellation policy. We were excited to book a trip through Alcatraz City Cruises on 6/16/26. Unfortunately, a family emergency forced me to cancel our trip to San Francisco, including this tour. I cancelled through the confirmation link in my email on 6/19 -- well within the 72-hour window required for a full refund, since the event itself wasn't until 6/26. The website showed my reservation as cancelled, so I stepped away to deal with the family emergency. In my rush, I never went back to check for a separate cancellation confirmation email, since the site had already shown the cancellation as complete. That was my mistake -- but it led to a frustrating outcome: I was charged for the tickets on the day of the event anyway. I didn't catch the charge until I reviewed my bank statement at the start of the following month. I called four times and couldn't reach a live person. When I finally got through to a representative, my request for a refund was denied. I asked again for the decision to be reviewed, but the agent refused, saying they would not look into it further. I understand that not confirming the cancellation via email was an oversight on my part. But the website clearly showed the reservation as cancelled, and we never used the tickets. Given that the cancellation was initiated well within the refund window, I would have expected more flexibility from customer service -- not an automatic denial. Dissapointed in this company and would not book through them again. Unfortantely, they did come up as one of the recommended companies to book through due to other scams and fake sites, but beware

Customer service over the phone was great, the tour was awesome and we learned new things about San Francisco that we had never learned before. The views were STUNNING and the open air car was awesome. Bring a jacket, the day was perfect sunshine which is unheard of for San Francisco this time of year and I was still frozen at the end of our ride. There were just a few things that kept this from being a 5 star experience: Car condition: the breaks on this e-car literally SCREAMED each time we stopped. The car stopped with no issue, but it totally freaked us out - especially on some of the steep hills. Otherwise the car was in excellent condition and we only depleted maybe 10% of the battery in our 3 hour tour. Front desk staff: check in and out was easy enough, but the front desk staff were realllllllly indifferent. They also talked like auctioneers, crazy fast. They showed all of the folks in the office this map route and talked at the speed of light. Now, we knew about 40% of the stops we would take and still got confused. How on earth are tourists supposed to understand this map direction situation. Seriously, the company would be better off instructing the front desk to say "your car will guide you through this map" than to try to have them explain where people are going. Or at least tell guests that "this seems like a lot, but you have a map in your car and the car will guide you, we are giving you this info so that you have some of the locations in your mind". Tour Guide/GPS: the GPS/Tour Guide storyline sounded like it was for the yellow car only. There were a few times that we were thinking, this can't be referring to our car. For example, there was one steep hill decent that we were going to go on and the GPS/Tour Guide said "I'm only designed to go 25 mph, so take care down this steep hill" we couldn't tell if we were only allowed to go 25 mph or if this cars speed was capped at 25 mph, but the website says that the top speed is 80 mph. Also, we were told that this car can go across the Golden Gate Bridge and the GPS said several times that it is not allowed to go on the bridge. Overall, we had a wonderful time, the GPS worked the entire time and we learned new facts about SF and saw new things that we hadn't noticed before. We also got MANY compliments on this car and almost every group that saw us said that they want to take this car out while on their trip. This was an awesome experience and we will bring family/friends here when they visit for amazing views of the city.
