His amazing wonderful patience OT therapist Michelle is so wonderful with him he loves coming to his sessions with her. She always greets him with a happy smile. My son has Down syndrome it can be challenging for him sometime when he needs to come to his sessions but have a OT therapist like Michelle Makes it so much fun. He has come along way with Michelle she has taught him to brush his teeth on his own with a bit of some challenges but she doesn't give up. He know him very well and this brings me so much joy knowing that we have a person who truly loves what she does and feels so proud when my son reaches a new goal. It's not easy to find office that have great therapist and people in the field that truly wants to see their patients grow. I don't know what I would do if for any reason we would have to change therapy locations. I feel truly blessed to be part of AHPT. Anakaren, Miriam and Alma have all super helpful is finding availability, cancel or adding sessions and answering any questions you may have. Cynthia will always do her best to help your the billing, authorizations from insurance and answering all your questions. They have all gone above and beyond to help me. Christina is my son case supervisor. She has gone above and beyond to set up his goals and help the therapist in accomplishing them. She even sat in on my son's IEP meeting to show her support for my son and to show his school what Acuity has been working on. She will also join session with the BI's. I can't say enough about Haley. She is my son's BI (Behavioral Intervention). She is big part in my son's continuous improvement. She has helped him so much and continues to help him accomplish milestones every session. She has best patience of any therapist that has worked with my son. South Coast Therapy is amazing. Prior to South Coast Therapy, we really struggled finding a…read moretherapist that understood how to work with my son due to his escape behaviors (eloping) and sensory challenges. We tried several places and were getting nowhere with his therapy. He was even "let go" from a few places because they couldn't figure out how to get him to cooperate! It was unbelievable and I was so discouraged. Finally, we discovered South Coast Therapy. What a difference! There was no threat of "letting him go" due to non-compliance in any of their paperwork or sign up protocol and they were extremely supportive of his needs! After meeting Grace for OT the first time, I knew that she not only cared about what she was doing and about him, but she had the correct tools and techniques to help regulate him and motivate him to work/play! At this center, you get a scheduled time and get to see the same therapist (I know some places, don't provide a slot and you have to keep calling or you get different therapists or assistants to the therapist) at each appointment. This is HUGE for kids like my son who need routine and relationship to move forward. The less change the better when it comes to his therapy! However, if you have to reschedule or if they don't have a standing appt. at start up, they are great at helping you find a day and time that will work and ALL of their therapists are just as well trained and efficient in getting through the behaviors. We have been there for 5 years now and my son is thriving! He is learning life skills such as how to brush and floss his teeth, put on his shoes, bathe, zip up a zipper, close and open a button and so much more. The best part is...he LOVES going and he loves Ms. Grace! If you have a child that has been getting nowhere in their therapy or is being "tolerated" rather than loved, seen, and cared for... you have found your new therapy center! Your child will learn to do things here and get past the difficult times! You will not be disappointed!

He thrives here. He's made so much progress with both gross motor skills and occupational skills! He gets physical therapy from Byn and Jonathan who are the best!!! They've taken the time to get to know my son, incorporate his interests into each session, and keep him engaged and motivated to learn. I can't recommend Apple Tree enough! The staff there have helped my son immensely and they are all…read moreso nice and patient with him. He came in with a speech delay and no real social connection to anyone other than immediate relatives, but he's come to love it there. He actually gets excited to go and see his teachers and has memorized all the songs they sing to him. He even transitions from one activity to the next without major meltdowns as he used to. We previously tried a different speech and learning center and my son would dread going. He would have outbursts in the waiting room and not want to participate (even though the staff there seemed just as nice). But there's something about Apple Tree's structure, environment, and teaching methods that really resonate with him. They even have a parent coach and send out newsletters with helpful information that makes navigating a child with delays seem a little less daunting. Plus being able to be in the classroom with him to see him interacting and learning new techniques to manage stressful situations has helped all of us. On top of all that, we started this going to Apple Tree in the middle of COVID, and yet the precautions they take make me comfortable enough to send my 2yo there.
