It was marvelous and indulgent because everything was so good that it is hard not to gorge yourself. The buffet offers many options: meat, vegetables, starches, appetizers, sides, and even delicious dessert. I tried the tandoori chicken, goat curry, vegetable aloo, dal, butter chicken, and saag paneer, and more -- all flavorful and delicious. The creamy mango dessert was the cherry on top. Really delicious flavors - we got seated right away on v-day - take that Italian restaurants nearby! Butter chicken and Chicken tikka masala were good, the cauliflower aloo gobi was fantastic and so memorable I ate an entire platter in one sitting. Good on fiber for the rest of the meal and night. Tonight we switched it up and came during dinner, there is no dinner buffet so we ordered a bunch of unique items to go knowing they will never be on the buffet line. I would pass on the appetizer combination, it wasn't memorable. None of the items were crispy after a 15 min drive home. I would pass on the delhi Indian street food column of the menu...it's sort of like Indian nachos but topped with soggy bread which we found to be weird even though the flavor is good. Garlic basil naan was surprisingly bland, not sure if we got an off one but other people rave about it. It was fluffy and fresh though, but barely any garlic or basil. Tasted like their regular naan. Also don't get the papadum to go, it gets crushed into nothing but crumbs. I love their papadum at the buffet though, it's fresh and perfect and not crushed. The highlight of takeout to go order was mousse and tandoori. The paneer lababdar (or Korma) curry was delicious too. Anyways, I was impressed by the tandoori combination with different types of meats for $21. There's shrimp, a little ground beef, ground lamb for variety, but most of it was delicious tandoori and lemon tandoori chicken cooked just right. Juicy and delicious. A fair value too for the meat you get. The mango mousse is a good takeout item too, $4 for 8 oz of mousse. Overall we'll always come back for buffet and if we're in a pinch, we would get tandoori and mousse and a little order of curry to go. Pass on the appetizers and Indian street food. read more

Parking can be a hassle as their is no private or street parking available but we found a spot down the street. Their was even a " Park & ride" down the road, which can be an option. Our server did mention that the food will take a bit long to arrive cause they have only one frier, which was in use. So they fry the meats and veg stuff in the same oil? They have special menu for their lunch time. We ordered:- Veg Thali:- Ok ok. You get an option from tea or soft drink. Go for the later, believe me. Channa bhatura:- Chole had mild flavor with doughy bhatura. Samosa Chaat:- bland samosa filling. With nice chutneys flavor. Garlic Naan:- It was good. Not doughy at all. So, the price of the dishes for lunch are different as compared to the regular menu. But they charged as full price. An Americanized indian tasting food, I mean flavor ranging from bland to sweet. I came in for the buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is one of the better Indian buffets in the Seattle area. When I walked in, I was told I could choose my own seat. There was only one other person there, so I had plenty to choose from. The water refills and dirty dish removals were frequent and prompt. Restaurant was mostly quiet with only moderate conversation volume at the different tables. The food selection was excellent and plentiful. There were 4 different chicken dishes: tandoori, curry, biryani, and the one with the orange sauce (I don't remember what it is called, masala?). Several vegetarian options and a tasty rice pudding dessert. And what I specifically liked about this buffet was that you got your own naan, however much you wanted. I've been to too many Indian buffets where they bring you massive amounts of naan. It's very obvious what these other restaurants are trying to do, making you waste your stomach capacity on the cheap filler bread so you don't eat the more expensive stuff. And if you're someone like me that will clean the plate off completely at buffets so as not to waste food, it is doubly appreciated. My only complaint would be that some of the food is quite salty, like the fried, crispy, tempura-like veggie dish. With tip, it came out to $19, which is a fair deal for Seattle. read more

Amazing food at very reasonable prices!! I didn't feel like leaving my apartment, so I decided to try a new spot by ordering in. The first thing that caught my eye at India Bistro was the Gobi Manchurian - something I have struggled to find in Seattle. I ended up piling a mountain of food into my cart and waited for my food. I'll start with the mango lassi - it was sweet, thick, and delicious. Despite being a smaller sized drink, it was extremely filling - I had to stop halfway so I could eat some food as well! The Gobi Manchurian was flavorful and crispy, but be warned that even their mild option had quite the kick! I was extra thankful for the mango lassi at that point. I also got a garlic naan, navratran korma, and gulab jamun for dessert. The korma was so creamy and delicious, and extremely flavorful despite being a mild curry! The gulab jamun were fried to perfection and simply melted in my mouth. The naan was also pretty good, although I do wish it came in pieces instead of one giant slab. For the main course I had Tiki Masala (Chicken) with 4/5 on the heat which seemed closer to 2.5 or 3 but was very tasty. My partner had the Lamb Tiki Masala with 0 spice. We also ordered the Nan with garlic and basil flavor. (Recommended) We happened in randomly as we were in Seattle fr a couple days. Met my brother here from out of town because of the great Yelp rating. Had the chicken tandoori and my brother ordered a vegetarian dish. I specifically asked for the spinach naan to come out before as an appetizer so I could eat with my wine. We were told it would be 20 minutes on the food. Less than 5 minutes later I got my tandoori chicken. I set it aside and asked for the naan. My brother got his vegetarian dish 15 minutes later and I never did get my wine. Waiter never did check in with us again until he gave us our check. The Chicken Tandoori was good but was not worth the $20 for 8 small cubes of chicken on top of onions and peppers on a small plate, nothing else. My brother's vegetarian dish was of decent proportions and it came with rice, but I was still quite hungry after my small portion. read more

She loved all of it from the Naan to the butter chicken, the biyirani rice, mushroom potato mango curry, aloo, cauliflower chickpea, and curry all ordered with one or two stars. Her comment was amazement at the variety of flavors! We've introduced many friends here over the past 20+years, the only thing I've noticed is the serving sizes are not as generous as they once were, but the flavors are still spot on!
