    Vijayawada Spl Chicken Biryani Boneless
    Nadia S.

Tried Momi Indian in Green Lake for takeout. I called in the order and it was ready in about 30 minutes, so pickup was easy. We got the curry leaf chicken and the Vijayawada special boneless Chicken biryani at medium spice. The spice level was manageable, and the flavors were good. Although, both dishes felt pretty greasy, almost like they were cooked with a heavy oil, which made them feel a bit heavy to eat. The portions also seemed a little less for the price. The place itself has decent seating and looks comfortable if you're dining in. Overall, the food was flavorful but the greasiness and portion size made my experience just okay.

The new location was getting a lot of coverage on IG and we decided to try it. After walking around Green Lake we got to Momi around 7pm and were seated immediately. It got busy after that and we saw people waiting for tables while we were eating. We got Goat Fry Biryani and Avakai Chicken Biryani. We liked both the biryanis and will be back to try more.

A new restaurant that is working to find its feet. The food was good, the portions were large, but the overall dining experience was shaky. The staff was friendly. Menu issues: The menu is on a QR code and was so long and cumbersome to scroll through that we struggled to find the items we were looking for past all the biryani choices. I don't like exclusively rice dishes. Luckily my date noticed that there were other types of dishes hidden past the dessert tabs of the online menu! The people next to us didn't look as comfortable ordering from the QR code and just left instead of ordering. My bet is that they did not see that there was anything other than the rice dishes on the menu. Truly, there may have been 20 types of biryani. When the food did come, it came a little bit out of order. The food was very flavorful and the portions were large. My dinner date really enjoyed the lamb biryani. The saag paneer was good but there were chunks of the sauce that needed to be stirred in better before served. The prices were reasonable. I would say get takeout instead, but the person waiting for takeout was there for a long time and barely got the takeout order by the time we had eaten and left. Or maybe the person got there very early. They were apologizing a bunch to the person. Unclear. It seems this is a new restaurant working to get its issues out between front and back of house. If you like Indian food, this review is from our experience in May 2025. Check it out in a few months. I bet it'll be an amazing well-run restaurant with good food by then!

Decided to stop and really enjoyed the experience. Food came out pretty quick and was very tasty. Ordered the gobi Manchurian, lamb fry biryani, butter chicken, and some garlic naan. All of the dishes were delicious. The menu can be a bit overwhelming but I'm looking forward to coming back again

This restaurant is new to the Greenlake neighborhood. Fantastic South Indian cuisine, and IndoChinese ofeting. Family run place, recently relocated from up near Bothell. Nice ambiance and excellent service. We'll be back!

Green mirchi goat palav, raita, and cheese naan. (Got ahead of myself and forgot to take a picture before digging in lol.)

When you arrive parking can be a bit difficult, there is a small parking lot out front, if that's full you'll need to find street park. The restaurant itself feels warm, casual, and bustling. Queen you walk in you have the option to sit on the backyard patio or in the dining room. We opted to sit in the dining room as it just felt more intimate and the vibe we were wanting for dinner. For our appetizer, we started with the Samosas (Two crispy pastries filled with your choice of freshly mixed vegetables or delicately spiced lean ground beef) which were excellent. Next we ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The naan and samosas showed up piping hot but the chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were cold. I probably should have said something as I was disappointed but was too hungry to care at that moment. If I'm in the Seattle area I may stop by Taste of India again.

I stopped by during a World Cup match, so most of the nearby bars were packed, but this restaurant was surprisingly quiet with only a few tables occupied. It wasn't bad, but it felt pretty lackluster, especially for a restaurant at this price point. I was expecting a more polished dining experience. The food was good, but it didn't wow me. My favorite dish was the Paneer, and the kofta was also enjoyable. One thing that stood out in a negative way was the presentation. For example, when our appetizer platter arrived, some of the dishes were awkwardly stacked or hanging over one another. It seemed like a small detail, but at this price, I expected more attention to presentation. Overall, the meal was solid, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. With so many great Indian restaurants nearby, I'm not sure I'd return.

There's counter seating facing The Ave, as well as, reservable study & meeting rooms off to the side. Some tables could use a wipe down and the carpets could use a roomba, but it's a totally chill, no frills establishment. Overhead music was loud Indian rap. The Homie ordered a Masala chai, Jaipur Masala fries, and Butter Chicken with basmati. He's dined here while on campus several times and this is one of his go to combos. I ordered also a Masala chai and bone-in Goat Biryani. First visit for me and it was a rare culinary epiphany. The bone-in Goat Biryani was generous, flavorful, and had lots of succulent meat. It was not gamey either. It was delicious to suck out the marrow from one piece. This was outstanding and beat out the other two times I've had this at a shuttered spot on Broadway on Capitol Hill and another spot in Milwaukee.
