Food: We ordered a decent number of dishes: Biriyani, Curry Leaf Chicken, Veg Curry, Manchurian Corn, Naan. All were pretty solid. The low spice level was good for my weak palate and overall the flavors were solid. In particular, I liked the veggie curry. Service: This was where the experience felt lackluster. It took well over 10 minutes for the one server (not her fault, they're lowkey understaffed for a Sunday lunch) to make their way to our table after we were sat. Our waters were never filled once after the initial filling (why would we still be expected to tip?), and the food took longer than average to come out than I've had at other Indian establishments. Granted, the food was better than I've had at other Indian places, but the time it took for things to come out was a bit longer than we would've liked. The plates that were at our table were also definitely cleaned poorly. The restaurant is only a GOOD rating out of five on the cleanliness scale (inspection done by the health department in the state of WA) and I think that does not come without reason. My plate still had some food remnants and smudges from previous servings. Atmosphere: Pretty decent place to talk, seating was fine, bathrooms were clean. Tried Momi Indian in Green Lake for takeout. I called in the order and it was ready in about 30 minutes, so pickup was easy. We got the curry leaf chicken and the Vijayawada special boneless Chicken biryani at medium spice. The spice level was manageable, and the flavors were good. Although, both dishes felt pretty greasy, almost like they were cooked with a heavy oil, which made them feel a bit heavy to eat. The portions also seemed a little less for the price. The place itself has decent seating and looks comfortable if you're dining in. Overall, the food was flavorful but the greasiness and portion size made my experience just okay. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU'RE SENSITIVE TO SPICY FOOD. With that said, the food is incredibly tasty and there's more variety than you might get at other Indian restaurants, but even at their lowest spice level ("medium") it was way too much for my sensitive palate. I had the lamb korma and the chola poori and they were both fabulous. But I could only eat so much with raita poured on and with two beers to swig between spicy bites that I had to call it quits way before I wanted to. (On a side note, kudos to them for recognizing and being honest about how spicy their food is and naming their spice levels accordingly.) If you're really sensitive to spicy food, this is probably not the place for you, and there are plenty of Indian restaurants nearby that cater to those of us with more sensitivity to spice. If you can take the heat though, I recommend it. read more

The new location was getting a lot of coverage on IG and we decided to try it. After walking around Green Lake we got to Momi around 7pm and were seated immediately. It got busy after that and we saw people waiting for tables while we were eating. We got Goat Fry Biryani and Avakai Chicken Biryani. A new restaurant that is working to find its feet. The food was good, the portions were large, but the overall dining experience was shaky. The staff was friendly. Menu issues: The menu is on a QR code and was so long and cumbersome to scroll through that we struggled to find the items we were looking for past all the biryani choices. I don't like exclusively rice dishes. Luckily my date noticed that there were other types of dishes hidden past the dessert tabs of the online menu! The people next to us didn't look as comfortable ordering from the QR code and just left instead of ordering. My bet is that they did not see that there was anything other than the rice dishes on the menu. Truly, there may have been 20 types of biryani. When the food did come, it came a little bit out of order. The food was very flavorful and the portions were large. My dinner date really enjoyed the lamb biryani. The saag paneer was good but there were chunks of the sauce that needed to be stirred in better before served. The prices were reasonable. I would say get takeout instead, but the person waiting for takeout was there for a long time and barely got the takeout order by the time we had eaten and left. Or maybe the person got there very early. They were apologizing a bunch to the person. Unclear. It seems this is a new restaurant working to get its issues out between front and back of house. Looks like this place recently opened and is next to greenlake. I was craving biryani and wanted to try the place as well. The biryani was a bit bland and not spicy which I had requested for. I might give the place another try to go there for dining in. Wouldn't recommend the biryani though! They have plenty of indoor seating and is in a very busy area so parking is difficult. The service was fast and the person talking the order was really nice! Also there is some discrepancy in the prices in their website vs actual prices in restaurant so that is something to look out for. read more

Flavorful biriyani! We've had the chicken 65 and Vijawada biryani and both are great! The curry leaf chicken, karampodi chicken from the appetizers are great choices. We also got butter chicken and requested for mild flavor for our daughter and it was mild indeed but delicious. We make a special trip from Bothell for when we are craving biriyani. Decided to stop and really enjoyed the experience. Food came out pretty quick and was very tasty. Ordered the gobi Manchurian, lamb fry biryani, butter chicken, and some garlic naan. This restaurant just opened at Green Lake around the corner from my apartment. I watched it go in and was eager to try it because I love Indian food and I was hopeful. Well hopeful didn't begin to touch my experience! My partner and I had a chicken biryani and a goat gongura curry that were both amazing. The owner is a generous and attentive woman. The service was impeccable. The rice..... few places get the fluffy, toothsome texture and subtle nutty flavor so perfectly as this. To have this gem three blocks from my home is a dangerous and lovely thing! Update we went back a second time and it was just as wonderful with different food. The only sad thing was that they didn't have a couple of the menu items that we were interested in. read more

We are so grateful that our favorite Mill Creek restaurant has a new home in Greenlake. We love this place. It's part of our family tradition and we were so sad when they had to leave their place up north to make way for another Chick fila. The staff members are so kind. It's always a pleasure to see them. The food is so flavorful. My family is obsessed. Every dish we have tried has been yummy although I can't seem to commit to anything other than the Butter Chicken. Our son always orders the Chicken Tikka Masala. Garlic naan bread is a must. My husband always orders something different and enjoys it. Stop in and stay for the great service or grab it to go. I have been searching for and craving a good Pulav in Seattle since I moved here and have finally found a good spot! I got the green mirchi goat palav (only available on weekends), cheese naan and an extra side of raita. It was really good! We went to Mimi Indian Kitchen last night for the dinner's break of an expensive retreat we were attending. It took 20 minutes for our order to be taken. When we arrived there were only 3 seated tables and they were all mid-meal. We were seated & about 5 minutes later another table was seated. Their order was taken 10 minutes before ours finally was! There were NO menus/only a little plaque on the table that you were to tap with your cell phone. WE ordered samosas as an appetizer which we asked to be served first & my friend ordered a cup of hot tea to be delivered right away. there were 2 other hot teas listed on "menu" which she tried to order but they did not have. Even after several inquiries we were not served ONE THING for 55 minutes after our order was taken!! The table that came in after us paid for their meal & left before we were served!! Only 3 other small tables came in after we sat down. As we had explained we needed to get back to the venue & would not be able to wait much longer!! after telling them that several times we finally got served EVERYTHING @ once. The tea was too hot to drink & the food had to be packed in containers as we were now late & knew we would not get back to venue at proposed time/let alone eat before! When they came back with containers & wrote bill they did NOT make any compensation for the LONG WAIT! they didn't even comp the $7.00 cup of tea which was too hot to gulp down before leaving! WE LEFT NO TIP & WILL NEVER GO BACK!! Regardless of how many others thought this place was ok our experience was HORRID! WE,OFCOURSE, WILL NEVER RETURN !!!!!!! read more

A great find and surprise,, Momi is new, only 6 weeks old. My friend had tried it last week and said it was terrific so we wentt again. Yes, terrific. We both ordered paneer dishes. They come with rice for 15.95, fair indeed for a generous serving. We also got garlic nan. Really good. The service was done by the family who owns the restaurant. Great. And the decor is open in feeling, with windows looking out at Greenlake. There are chairs outside but no tables. read more

I used to get Momis when it was in Everett and the restaurant changed locations but the food has stayed so delicious! The chicken 65 biryani is the most amazing dish and there's no going wrong with anything else on the menu. This is a must try for anyone in the area! The food was OK but the service was terrible. The server, who was the only waiter working the entire room, was totally overwhelmed. He brought food to half our party and then "forgot" to serve the rest of us. Several people didn't get any food at all. It took me a hour to get plain naan to go with my chicken tikka masala. There was only one person in the kitchen and he was very slow getting the orders out. There are many good Indian restaurants in the North End who have much better service. I wo't be back. read more

I ordered food for pickup from the new location on Green Lake. The order was ready when it was promised, and the staff was very pleasant. What was a disappointment is as follows. I ordered Kairaikudi Chicken Curry, samosas, and garlic naan. Unfortunately, each of them tasted exactly the same because of the overwhelming flavor of one particular spice (I haven't been able to figure out yet which spice). No other ingredient could be detected, not the garlic, not the chicken, not the veggies in the samosa, nothing but the one spice. I couldn't eat it. (Normally, chicken curry is my favorite dish of all.) The spice is even now overwhelming in my mouth, and I can smell nothing else. The restaurant has gotten some really great reviews, so I wonder if this was a one-time mistake, but it doesn't make sense that all three dishes would have had the same mistake. read more

I never write Yelp reviews but this new restaurant in Green Lake has inspired me. I love food of all kinds but Indian food has never been my favorite. This restaurant is the first Indian restaurant I absolutely loved and am looking forward to returning. We've been twice now. We ordered two types of chicken palav (I think only available weekends) which were both so flavorful and delicious. I didn't know about this specialty dish beforehand. The chicken was remarkably tender, the spices were uniquely delicious, and the rice was cooked in a broth that was subtle but really perfect. I love this dish! We also ordered the palak paneer which is sort of a standard when we go to Indian food...this version was simply better than all the others I've had...not sure how to describe what was different about it but it was the best version of this I've ever had. The staff are super warm and friendly and helpful. I really love this place - go check it out! read more
