This is a jewel in Chambersburg! We discovered it almost a year ago and now are regulars. I have yet to find anything on the menu we don't enjoy. I normally get the tika masala with lamb (mild) and my husband gets the curry with lamb (medium). We also get a couple sides of naan and the shrimp pakora as a appetizer. We change it up a little so often but that is our go to. It is cooked to perfection each time which means you will need to be patient and if you are starving order an appetizer! The wait staff are always kind and attentive and willing to answer questions if this is your first time! But it's well worth a shot. Just, be careful if you order spicy... it is spicy so unless you want a kick in the pants later be careful! Overall amazing restaurant!! read more

From the moment you step in, you already know that you're in for a treat! The aroma is something which you don't normally find in the area, but is definitely a welcomed one. Aldo Tikki, Tandori chicken, Goat curry, and much more on the lunch buffet alone. The flavors will give you a welcomed break from the otherwise standard American fare in the area. This is probably the worst restaurant I ever been to. This place dosent even deserve a one star it deserves a 0. When I ordered some food I thought it would be good and cheap but no I got a small ping pong shaped somosa for 5 dollers. I could name thousands of shops that sell somosa for less price. First visit. No ice in the water. Come on, it's ice. Ordered garlic shrimp appetizer @$11. Was good, but there were only 3 shrimp! Come on, 3 medium shrimp for $11. Entrees were tandoori chicken, and a shrimp dish. Both came on sizzling platters and we're very good, but again, not much food for $15 and $18. Total bill was over $50. Delicious!!! I've tried the butter chicken, chicken biryani, naan, and samosas. They were all great. My personal favorite is the biryani.

India Café is amazing. I am blown away by their customer service. I ordered food earlier today and then had a situation come up at work that left me unable to pick up my food for a while - when I called to let them know, the sweetest woman answered the phone and she offered to come deliver it to me since I could not leave work yet. The food is great as well, but this woman's kindness really made a difference to me and I will make sure to eat from this restaurant more often for that reason. read more

This small restaurant was a wonderful find for hungry travelers. It is near the interstate and easy to find. It was not crowded on a Saturday evening. The food was tasty and very filling. The table service was quite attentive. We ate until we were stuffed and still departed with leftover dal, aloo gobi, and saffron rice. Our vegetable pakora appetizer was different from what I've had elsewhere, more similar to tempura, but satisfactory.
