My husband and I are both vegan, so after weeding out the all you can eat ribs and lobster locations we settled for Indian food. I am so glad we did. Immediately upon walking in I was giddy! I absolutely love Indian food so I was curious on how it would be served in a small Midwest town. Simply Fantastic. Don't miss it. My wife is much more experimental than I am, which is why I chose this restaurant, it's out of my comfort zone. As such, I wasn't really sure what to order. Staff was extremely helpful in explaining what various dishes were and how they were prepared. We started with Samosa Chat. The flavor combinations and aromatics were exceptional. For the entree we ordered the Clay Oven Mixed Grill. Nice variety of meats and vegetables with sauces (chutneys). Do be warned, we like hot spicy foods and I had read that they actually serve food hotter than a general populace would enjoy. This is an accurate assessment. We enjoyed it, many would not, it would be too hot. The Garlic Naan was like icing on the cake, helped moderate the heat from the chutney. Finished with the Rasmali. Was a little confused with the cottage cheese dumpling, but very similar to a sponge cake and the entire dish was similar to Tres Leches you might expect in a mexican restaurant. This place completely blew away my expectations, it was amazing! First, let me say that it's Sunday in Memorial Day Weekend and many places are closed for dinner on Sunday's. I called ahead by three hours to see if they were open and if I needed a booking. The guy took my name down for 8:30. We showed up and there were people waiting inside around the entrance and outside in the parking lot (probably a good 20 people including kids) - a great sign that the food must be delicious! They sat us down in about 10 minutes and apologized for the wait - so glad we called ahead! The food was incredible. I ordered the Butter Chicken and my husband asked our server what he recommended - he ended up getting a very spicy chicken dish. We also ordered the Chicken Tikka Naan, which came with a sweet sauce and a mint sauce - both were amazing. We could not believe how delicious the food was. The Butter Chicken was the best dish I've had in a long time. I could put that sauce on anything, it was a sweeter creamy sauce with a little bit of a kick. The naan was so flavorful, and everything was better than we expected. Granted - my husband and I don't eat a lot in Indian food, but we are so glad we stopped in! You could tell the business didn't expect to be so busy, but they provided such wonderful service to my husband and I. We fully intend to come back next time we are in Branson.
