Sadly didn't take any pictures because of how hungry we were, we all dug in as soon as we got out food. I had never had Indian food and was very nervous, I decided to get the tikka masala in a medium but definitely could have gone spicier. It was very good especially with the cheese naan. My friend got the butter chicken and that one was amazing, I liked it more than the tikka masala but still enjoyed everything. Overall had a great experience! read more

This restaurant was packed and had a very good decor and ambience. We placed an order over the phone with multiple items including their sweets. The owner was very friendly as well. The starters lacked flavor and the chicken was dry and chewy, paneer tikka was not marinated well and vegetarian entree was disappointing, however their goat curry was amazing. It was spicy just as the way we ordered and well cooked. I really enjoyed their sweets/desserts as they were nice and fresh. I'll probably go back to get some goat curry again. read more

As a first time visitor, I wasn't sure what to expect. After eating here and experiencing the excellent customer service, I would give this place six stars if I could. The establishment was elegantly decorated and nuanced with traditional artwork and music. The bathrooms were spotless and so where the floors. We were promptly shown our seats and treated with respect and care. The food was amazing-- we split the mixed grill platter with a side order of Aloo Saag, mixed pickle and a side of naan. I highly recommend trying the mixed grill plate paired with a vegetable side dish. All in all, this was an excellent first experience and I will be back! read more

It's been over a year since we were here last and by golly, that banging kitchen door has been taken care of, so I can immediately add another star! The very modestly priced $11.99 all day Sunday buffet delivers delicious high quality food as before. I love their overstuffed spicy Samosas and spicy mint chutney. The chef recommended a heavenly fragrant potato soup with a green pureed broth that I could have taken home with me. Today there was a large mixed grill with sausage, chicken and beautiful chunks of red and green bell pepper with onion in addition to the sauced meat and vegetarian choices on the buffet. I tried them all. Everything was good. The vegetarian Makhani, Saag Paneer, Spicy Chicken Curry and Channa Masala were very good. My Tandoori Chicken was still moist and tender mid-afternoon and the Mixed Vegetable Pakora crunchy and non-greasy. The India Grill does a good job of keeping things hot and trays filled. The buffet area is tight and some things are hard to get to. You do have to compete with bathroom and kitchen traffic and other people with plates to get to and from the buffet. It's not the best arrangement. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. I enjoyed the modern Indian music - pop and jazz, smooth music with Indian nuance. The cloth tablecloths and glass are very nice as well. The back area by the restrooms needed some attention the day of our visit and the floor a little crowded for foot traffic. It would not have accomodated a wheel chair. Otherwise, totally enjoyable. read more

This place is a gem! When you walk inside the first thing you'll notice is the beautiful decor, hanging lighting and the lit up bar...so pretty! First things first..an ice-cold Indian beer...Taj is always a good choice. We started with an order of samosas, which were crispy and delicious, with delectable green chili chutney and tamarind sauce. For our main we ordered the goat curry, upon our server's recommendation, and it was outstanding; meaty, rich, lots of sauce and full of flavor. The paneer tikka masala was great, chicken 65 (a spicy tangy dry-fried style) was really good...but quite spicy! We also had raita, plain rice and garlic naan, which was literally the best melt-in-your-mouth naan I've ever had. For desert we took some gulab jamun to go, which we'll be savoring later tonight! Not only did we enjoy our dinner, we enjoyed the great service, and the owners make you feel like family. Note to self; great place to bring a group of friends! read more

Food was good, but this establishment could do way better on their customer service. Had an online order and came a little bit after my estimated arrival time. Upon arrival, was not acknowledged by anyone. I had to go to the bar and ask how I pick up my order. Come to find out my order had not been cooked. So I had to wait an additional 15 or so minutes for my food to be cooked. Ultimately, it seemed that my presence was a nuisance to this establishment and so for the reason, I can definitely patronize other establishments who would be happy to have my money. read more

Glad we came back around to try it out again. It's under New Management and has moved to another location in the Highlands. The ambiance was like it used to be, candlelit tables, real china and glassware with cloth napkins. The food came out hot and timely. The wait staff very at-tentative and polite. We shared the House Mix Grill. The Mulligatawny Muglai Soup was tasty and hot. The Vegetable Samosa was a bit more breaded than expected, but still good. I've had the pleasure of dining in at this restaurant in their outdoor dining area. It was great weather, the area was very clean and spacious. My favorite thing hands down from this restaurant, which collectively earns this restaurant a 5 star from me is their Naan bread. It's hard to find such good, fluffy Naan and this place has it. You know it's good when it doesn't turn rock hard after a few hours. I've only tried the chicken Karahi and kabob platter. First time here and my first time eating Indian food. It was really good. We got the Garlic Naan, Vandaloo, chicken masala and a vegetarian dish made with spinach and potatoes sorry forgot the name. The rice was soft and fluffy. The vandaloo was good just a little spicy and I got the mild. My friend also got the Mango Lassi. It was rich and sweet so I was okay with it. First time visiting.. the place is decorated well inside although the outside may not appeal to everyone. There are two sections I want to point out in the menu.. one Tandoori style where the meat is served kabab style (no sauce), or the speciality style (with sauce). Exact same flavors and type of chicken, but definitely ask if you want the servers help as they're very friendly. Service was a little slow for us because the server had a large area to take care of, but they were still accommodating. As for the food, the curry was served with a side of white basmati rice. To be honest, it somewhat tasted like it may have been reheated from earlier in the day. Chicken was tender and the dish was still tasty overall. I got spice level 2 out of 3, but it wasn't that spicy so if you're wanting any heat, go for 3. I got the garlic naan as well which was soft and good to try with the curry too. (A side of naan comes with 4 pieces, the picture I posted is three sets because others in my party got the same thing and they served it on one dish) Lastly, the orange item in the pictures is Jalebi. Imagine a small, crunchy funnel cake, but extremely sweet and filled with sweet syrup. If you like sweets, you'll love it. If not, stay far away. Lastly, as far as value, I think two people are better off getting an appetizer and splitting an entree item. That'd be around $20 + tip which is not bad for a homemade Indian meal. read more
