Excellent lunch buffet for about $20 with a variety of foods and freshly baked pita brought right to you!

Ordered food via uber eats and I was not disappointed ! Here's everything I had : 1) samosa chaat - an appetizer so not a large portion but very tasty and rich 4.2/5 2) fried paneer - by the time it came over it was not crispy and was not very hot . It was just ok .3.5/5 3) spicy fish tikka - a huge dish, could easily feed 2 adults .lots of very yummy fish fillet - great seasoning . It came on veggie cubes in a rich sauce which was also very tasty 4.1/5 All together the food was quite tasty and I will give this place a try again for sure

I'm really disappointed with my experience here. I was excited to try this restaurant after reading all the great reviews, especially since it's the closest place that serves lamb rogan josh, my favorite dish. I also ordered yellow dal and a double order of garlic naan. Unfortunately, whatever they served me was definitely not lamb--I'm Greek and very familiar with the taste. The rogan josh sauce also didn't resemble what I've had at other places, and I've enjoyed this dish dozens of times elsewhere. The dal had good flavor, but there weren't any lentils in it, and the naan was underwhelming as well. I'm sad to write this review, but it's my honest opinion. On top of that, I'm pretty disappointed to have spent nearly $50 on dishes that didn't include the key ingredients I was expecting. The one bright spot was the staff, who were very kind and helpful.

Mixed grill. Nice variety of meat from the tandoori oven.

Went for dinner. Ordered the Mixed Grill and garlic naan. Tandoori chicken is amazing. Food has wonderful flavor. Mixed grill is enough food for 2 people. Food came out hot and fresh. The service is as fast as the kitchen. Nice clean restaurant. I will be back.

We came here for their lunch buffet and really enjoyed our experience. The food was delicious and well stocked. Wait staff were polite and efficient. It was only $18.99 per person and with every dish being delicious, I highly recommend coming here for Indian food especially if you want to try it out for the first time. Also their naan is AMAZING!!

Mango Lassi - creamy yogurt smoothie with a hint of spice

Heard about this place from coworkers. Nice spacious place in south Arlington, off of I 20. The staff were nice. Our to go orders were ready & nicely packed. Each dish was fully packed in round containers, came with a full small-box of basmati rice. The naan breads were fresh good, our favorite was the cheese naan. We got spicy tikka fish, herbs chicken curry, butter chicken, & chicken vindaloo. The butter chicken was sooo good. The others are ok, could use more flavors. The tikka fish fillets can definitely feed 2 ppl, but not as flavorful & spicy as I expected. The vindaloo was the spiciest, I would ask to make it mild if you're a lightweight spicy-eater. The vegetable pakoras were crispy on outside & very tasty. The mango lassi was good & creamy with a hint of chai-like spice. You would love it if you like chai drinks. Try the buffet if you are inclined to try multiple dishes & have big appetite.

Great food, enormous portions, and a nice casual ambience. I want to go back here for lunch and try the buffet.

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: a local Indian food favorite. THE VIBE: kind of a weird vibe mostly because the place is way bigger than you would think so it's almost eerie. But honestly I don't expect much with vibes with small businesses. PRICE: ~$20 per person WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9/10 - The servers here are SO sweet and attentive. - The prices and portions are really good we had so many leftovers. The flavors are perfect and not overpowering at all. I really recommend everything we had ordered because it was just a perfect and comforting meal! - I do wish the food was a little spicier but it's perfect for my mild spice lovers! Either way the flavors really made up for the lack of spiciness. - There's an Herbs Indian Restaurant in Irving which I'm not sure is the same owner but just keep in mind these are two different restaurants.

Rita and chutneys, and a majito

Well, I tried it at dinner so I saw they had a buffet for lunch, so I went back for the lunch buffet. Many salad options, many healthy appetizers, but my favorite was the fried pakora.. They had several delicious curries, I really enjoyed the coconut fish one, and the chicken and paneer curry. For dessert they had of course the rice pudding that is typical, but they also had this carrot pudding that was really delicious. It wasn't soupy like the rice, pudding, more like soft, shredded carrots, but very sweet and with cashews. Super tasty and of course their fabulous naan! I highly recommend dropping in and trying the buffet

Korma along with some of the chutneys and pickles. Just look at that gravy!

I loved it! I say…read more"I" as my wife wasn't as big a fan of the food as I was. We had reservations in a busy Saturday night and were seated at a comfortable 2-top. They were about full when we arrived. Not so much when we left. While I thought there was a game tonight - it's the Eagles in concert at one of the nearby stadiums. Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!

I had to really think if I should review this restaurant or not. It had a hard start and got worse…read moredue to a snobbish bartender named Colby. I don't live in Arlington and just recently moved from Dallas to Ft Worth. While looking at properties in Arlington for the day, this looked like a great stop. The reviews were mostly strong and the pictures I could see reminded me of my favorite Dallas steak fix, Bob's Chophouse on Lemmon. It doesn't have that vintage, chic atmosphere sadly, but it is old TX, steakhouse, 80's style. Colby asked if we wanted a menu and I said yes. He brought one for us both. I asked if they had any happy hour specials which is mentioned often in their reviews. He haughtily informed me that, "They don't do happy hour" and then giggled. Yes, giggled, the only other description is snickered. We ordered a Tito's Dirty Martini and Guinness and decided to stay anyway. He served my martini slushee and a good pour on the Guinness. He simply never came back. Everyone else had nuts and their orders taken. He avoided us as if we had the Bubonic plague. After his pointed non-service, I dropped my credit card, he snatched it and dropped the check. Obviously, I won't be back but I think that was the entire point of his service.
