We got: -Gobi Manchurian -Chicken chili -Tandoori mixed grill (lamb kebab, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb chop) -Chana masala -Mixed bread basket with various dipping sauces (they brought this, don't know if we actually ordered it) Everything was so good! My husband said it was his favorite tandoori he's had in DFW. And this was the "final straw" that made me figure out how to do the chicken chili at home because I was inspired to replicate the goodness. The staff was really nice and very helpful with all the menu items that were unfamiliar to people in our party. And I definitely feel like the quality and portions were worth the price. Cute little place I recently had the chance to try. I ordered pickup so didn't get the done in experience. The interior was clean and had a more presentable look for either a casual lunch with friends or an intimate dinner with a loved one. The staff were super friendly with questions I had about menu items also. I noticed they offer a buffet option that is offered 7 days a week. Ordered the samosas which had more spice than I expected, but still worth getting. The chicken tikka masala was DELICIOUS. It comes with rice, but not bread. Here's everything I had : 1) samosa chaat - an appetizer so not a large portion but very tasty and rich 4.2/5 2) fried paneer - by the time it came over it was not crispy and was not very hot . I'm really disappointed with my experience here. I was excited to try this restaurant after reading all the great reviews, especially since it's the closest place that serves lamb rogan josh, my favorite dish. I also ordered yellow dal and a double order of garlic naan. Unfortunately, whatever they served me was definitely not lamb--I'm Greek and very familiar with the taste. The rogan josh sauce also didn't resemble what I've had at other places, and I've enjoyed this dish dozens of times elsewhere. The dal had good flavor, but there weren't any lentils in it, and the naan was underwhelming as well. I'm sad to write this review, but it's my honest opinion. On top of that, I'm pretty disappointed to have spent nearly $50 on dishes that didn't include the key ingredients I was expecting. Each dish was fully packed in round containers, came with a full small-box of basmati rice. The naan breads were fresh good, our favorite was the cheese naan. We got spicy tikka fish, herbs chicken curry, butter chicken, & chicken vindaloo. The butter chicken was sooo good. The others are ok, could use more flavors. The tikka fish fillets can definitely feed 2 ppl, but not as flavorful & spicy as I expected. The vindaloo was the spiciest, I would ask to make it mild if you're a lightweight spicy-eater. The vegetable pakoras were crispy on outside & very tasty. The mango lassi was good & creamy with a hint of chai-like spice. You would love it if you like chai drinks. A little pricey but my family loves their chicken tikka masala and naan it's sooo good I think they're the standard for Indian food in the area, I don't eat anything else but that and I crave it from time to time. Well, I tried it at dinner so I saw they had a buffet for lunch, so I went back for the lunch buffet. Many salad options, many healthy appetizers, but my favorite was the fried pakora.. They had several delicious curries, I really enjoyed the coconut fish one, and the chicken and paneer curry. For dessert they had of course the rice pudding that is typical, but they also had this carrot pudding that was really delicious. It wasn't soupy like the rice, pudding, more like soft, shredded carrots, but very sweet and with cashews. Super tasty and of course their fabulous naan! My family was in the mood for something different for dinner. I had Indian cuisine before and from various parts of the globe, but family never had it before. I noticed this business had five stars, so I said why not try it out? It was a very pleasant experience and even my son wants to go back for lunch. Everyone was very pleased with the taste, but I was even more pleased with the patience and thoughtful help from our waitress. She took the careful time to explain things for our inexperienced and gave us thoughtful recommendations for our experience levels. These are places I really enjoy. They take the time to help everyone figure out and decide their meal. The atmosphere was quiet but may have been due to the upcoming holiday. But the tables, the setting, dinnerware were all looking great and well maintained. The five stars have been earned previously, and have been earned again by me. I was so happy that a good Indian restaurant was opening near us. The people who run the place are so kind and polite, and they will explain anything about the food or just visit with you. The food itself is some of the best I have had, including when I was in India a native of the country who knew what and where to eat. They can adjust the spice for you if you need them to either up or down. Their korma is literally the best I've had in my life, and their sag paneer is also very tasty. They have a cheesy naan that is to die for, and their regular naan is heaven on earth when it comes straight out of the cooker. I am usually not a fan of a buffet at all because the food tends to get stale and cold. Their lunchtime buffet is different every day, and they go to great links to keep the food, hot and fresh. Some don't have exciting bold words behind them but they all were fabulous. My husband and I just recently started a Pesco-Vegetarian diet and to find flavorful, fresh and well priced/portioned food that meets our dietary needs is a game changer. 1st time visit. Excellent! We were specifically looking for an Indian buffet and were excited to try this restaurant that has been open for about a year. It's about $19/person. I was extremely impressed by the food presentation which is far more elegantly displayed than your typical buffet. Each selection is kept warm is round stainless steel serving chafers with sliding lids similar to those used in five-star hotels. I immediately knew their standards are high. The goat curry was succulent, the Chicken Korma was tender with a lovely's sauce, and the Butter Chicken had a nice faintly sweet flavor. Heat levels were perfect. Not too spicy for my sensitive husband yet spicy enough for me to make my nose run. The Chana Masala and Tofu curry were great meatless alternative. I enjoyed the Vegetable Pakora as well. The complimentary naan was absolutely delightful. The only food options I wish they had were the potato & Peas Vegetable Samosas and Saag Paneer to replace the one dish that we both didn't enjoy which was their other broccoli vegetable option. It seemed to have a sour vinegar flavor. We were too full to try the Kheer rice pudding which looked enticing! Our waiter was so kind and took our picture by the huge beautiful elephant wall art which is perfect as a photo back drop! This restaurant has now become my absolute favorite. Indian buffets are rare and Indian buffets in a fine dining setting is even more rare. This is a great place to take a date, celebrate a special occasion, or bring the family for an afternoon lunch. I decided I was going to try this today while my son was taking a class. I felt like the employees were super friendly and it looks like they were really into service. My server was prompt in greeting me. He promptly brought me a drink and he also brought me a basket of naan. The Naan was a good consistency where it was crispy and yet soft like it should be with a hint of butter. They seemed to put like some sort of little herb of some sort. I can't say it was garlic maybe parsley or something I don't really know, but it was like a hint of some sort of herb. They had several silver containers of food. It started off with some sauces, salad and a soup. I didn't try the soup. I got a little bit of the salad and I have to say I liked that. It was chopped up and very fresh and crunchy.The ranch was a good taste. It is so hard to have good ranch at places so to find it at a place that doesn't need to have ranch is really odd. So I really enjoyed the salad even though I don't normally get salad at Indian food places. I think they change the dishes every buffet, so it probably won't be what I had, when another person walks in or if I go again. It seemed to have a lot of protein and some basic vegetarian dishes. The spice level was probably on a one or two on a five point scale so not too spicy. I think that the vegetarian containers which were the green beans and the Tikka vegetables were a little cold. I'm not sure if that container was keeping the food very warm. The chicken, tikka, tikka, paneer, and butter chicken were all much warmer. I didn't like the taste of the tika veggies. I also had the green beans. That dish wasn't very spicy like this other place I had tried before. The tikka masala paneer was pretty good, but not the type of tikka masala that I expected for the taste. It also isn't my preferred taste of Tikka masala. The butter chicken was, good and as expected. It seems to me that this place does Flavors like when I go out of the country to Europe and let's say I go to London....I expect the butter chicken to taste like this in London. When I've been in France, the tikka masala, and the butter chicken tastes like it tastes at this restaurant. So I'm not sure if my preference is some sort of Texas Indian food or maybe I like my Indian food from a certain region. I think I'm going to have to ask my favorite place if any Indian food is regional because maybe that is why I like certain flavors and certain dishes to be a certain way. Now I didn't find this place to be bad, but it wasn't my favorite. It certainly wasn't as bad as the other Arlington Indian food places that I've tried. I would return to this one because I had a decent meal. I like the salad. I like the naan, I like the chicken tikka. I just Like a little bit more spice. I like a little bit more creativity in terms of the flavor with the spices. The flavor profiles were not strong at this Indian food place but that wasn't totally a bad thing, but just not what I generally expect. So again, I would come back to try some of their other dishes. Like everybody else has said the service was great and the people were really friendly which isn't always the case at my favorite place lol. I think that Herbs is good enough for everyone just to try it and see if they like it better than other local Indian food restaurants. I know that I will never go hungry in Arlington because there's always so many interesting new places to try. I wandered into this one excited to see if I could get a nearby second favorite Indian food place. I will return! read more
