I've never been to a vegan restaurant before, but it had quite the breadth. I ordered the cheeseburger, comprised of a plant based patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and housemade mayo served on brioche bun with a choice of fries or side salad. As they ran out of regular fries, I opted for sweet potato fries. The portions were a lot smaller than I'd expect for the price. Especially since my meal was $20 and I didn't leave feeling full (when usually I'm someone who always has to take at least some food home). Also, I was charged an additional fee for the sweet potato fries upgrade despite the lack of availability of normal fries to accompany my $16 burger. Perhaps I'm griping on subjective matters such as entitlement to certain quantities of food at restaurants, but our server took our orders without writing anything down and messed up or forgot almost all of them. I asked for garlic aoli instead of mayo for my cheeseburger. My coworker asked for a cheeseburger but got a chicken fried steak. My other coworker asked for a cheeseburger without any vegetables but all of them were on his burger or on the side. Another 2 coworker's orders were almost messed up, but our server came back to double check. Usually I'm not someone who cares about service, but our waiter messed up almost all of our orders and didn't even try to write things down. It wasn't even busy at this time. Overall disappointed in my experience here vegan food or not. I see other reviews here raving about the food and breadth of the menu, but I was left unimpressed.

The food is fresh. What puzzles me is the two out of three phenomena. In this case they have enchiladas (delicious!) and rice but not beans. In other Asian buffets they serve Kielbasa with cabbage but no potatoes. Do they simply not know? I have no answer. If you want to know what is in a tray before you look at the frame, above the food tray. The content of each tray is listed on the label above it. Look up--it is high up on a little white tab. A dirty towel on the floor is not such a serious flaw that it would change my rating to any less then five stars. The food is good, it is fresh. India Palace has great food. I've tried many of their dishes and they're all very flavorsome. I like much spice and it took them a few times to get the spice to a heat I was happy with but I wouldn't count that as a negative. Their samosas are fairly nice. Sometimes a little too well done but tasty nonetheless. Their chicken is fairly consistent as far as tenderness goes in their masala and Makhani dishes. Their lamb is a little overdone when I've ordered vindaloo but the spice, taste and service makes up for these minor things (which may not even be an issue to others.) Overall the food, service and price are fantastic. My only complaint would be that the location is not so great and it is easy to miss if you're not sure where you're looking for it. I really like this place and the setting is ambient and service is always happy. Our boys love the food too - especially to gulab jamun and chicken makhani. I've also had their buffets recently and I have to say that the buffet is fantastic. It was about an hour before lunch closing and I was a little skeptical that I'd get the last of the food with it being dry and crusty. I was pleasantly surprised to see that even then they were still bringing out fresh hot food. Tandoori Chicken was great, their chai tea was great and their tikka masala was awesome. We got: tomato soup (had almost a Chinese hybrid flavor from the garlic/oil choices - so good!) veggie samosas (puffs of glorious potatoey, spiced bliss) chicken tiki masala (perfect balance of flavors; not too sweet or salty) palak paneer (delightfully creamy with smooth tasting, firm cheese) basmati rice because you can't have this without rice!!! We made our own naan (I can't have wheat). BUT OMG! We will for SURE order again and visit the restaurant - delivered food arrived on time and hot. I too was denied my coupon that I bought from http://LivingSocal.com by India Palace. As it turns out the owners have not been paid a cent from living social for these coupons. This coupon is a big SCAM and if you did buy a coupon from living social call them asap for a full refund.. as it turns out living social has done this to a few other restaurants here in the valley too.. they have been using restaurant names to sell these coupons but not keeping their end of the deal to pay the restaurants.. I called them and after going back and forth they gave me a full refund. That being said I enjoyed my meal at India Palace and will definitely go back. read more

I have two words for you: Absolutely delicious! When I first got to Phoenix (after moving) I wanted to find a good and comfortable Indian restaurants. I tired a myriad of different indian restaurants and having named India Palace my first choice! I know that I will definitely be going there on the regular! There food is nutritional and flavorful but not only is the food great but the staff is friendly and attentive! The are so personal and fun to make conversation with! I cannot imagine how difficult it is to get started during COVID. However, I do not think this place will have a hard time. The food speaks for itself. The service was beyond friendly, inviting, and overall welcoming. We called in the order for samosa, chicken tikka masala, and two orders of naa. Sooo good! It about 20 minutes and my boyfriend to pick it up. They were so nice and kind. The Naam was perfectly cooked with butter and garlic. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food was awful, cold, and clearly not fresh. The service was just as bad: slow, careless, and totally unorganized. The owner's attitude was the final straw. Instead of showing any professionalism or respect for paying customers, she was short, dismissive, and acted like basic courtesy was too much to ask for. I love Indian cuisine and the food at India Palace is, by far, the best. Absolutely delicious!!! The service is great and the ambience is warm and comforting- much like the food. My favorites are the Lamb Biryani and the Tandoori Chicken. But frankly, every meal we've had there has been delicious. I also love their buffet. I've been coming to this place for a while now, and it's always fantastic! The vegetarian options are plentiful and packed with flavor. From creamy paneer dishes to perfectly spiced curries, everything is consistently delicious. The naan is always fresh and delicious. I am huge fan of the food here. The Indian food is the best I have had in the Phoenix area. My only complaint is that I have gone there with larger groups of people or times they have been crowded and services was slow. The flavors are bold, rich, and incredibly fresh, and you can tell everything is made with care. It's rare to find a place that nails both South Indian dishes and Indo-Chinese flavors this well. Hands down my favorite Indian restaurant. The people working here are wonderful as well, always welcoming, kind, and happy to help with recommendations. We keep coming back because the food and service are consistently amazing.

Krachai has been flooding Facebook with very professional ads about their remodel and improved menu…read morewith a re-grand opening Sept 2nd, so we went on the 5th to check it out, as it used to be our favorite Thai place in Phoenix. Nothing was as expected. The menu and website says open Mon-Sun yet a sign in the window says CLOSED Mon-Tues, so be aware. The beverage menu was the same with Beer, Wine and Sake but as soon as we ordered, she told us they don't have a liquor license so no alcohol (usually restaurants have a sign at the door when they don't have one yet.) We were also told they have a limited menu with half the items crossed out. This was when we discovered it wasn't a remodel as advertised (everything was the same except for some new chair covers, the rest of the chairs and booth benches were worn out) instead it's under new ownership. When we walked in at 5:30PM on a Saturday we were the only ones in the place besides a guy picking up an order; later one couple came in and no one else while we were there. The menu indicates "Spicy Level 1-5: Mild to Thai Hot. Please choose your spice level wisely." We asked for mid level 3 and were told "everything is prepared Thai hot." So much for customization. We ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer and the highly advertised Drunken Noodles with chicken. The "Rangoons" weren't at all that but mini burritos or egg rolls obviously frozen and reheated, greasy and just filled with cream cheese, served on a bed of wilted parsley. The entrée was brought out at the same time and looked nothing like their photos of noodles in brown sauce, golden slices of chicken and bright veggies. Instead the entire dish was brown and had no flavor except HOT. After two bites we called the server and asked for our bill, telling her we didn't like anything and were leaving. She really didn't look too surprised, but no offer of a comp or discount. We then went to another Asian restaurant and had a very nice meal. Needless to say we can scratch this once great place off our list. (Note: businesses get really nasty when you give negative reviews but what do customers have to gain by taking the time for honest reviews other than hoping to see improvements and alerting other customers in advance.)
