Time for an updated review! I don't usually frequent this location, I prefer the Phoenix one as it has cooler vibes. This one is located in a strip mall and it's spacious; good amount of seating inside and several tables on the patio outside. My friend and I came for an early lunch and to beat the lunch crowd. We ordered at the counter and grabbed a booth in the back. Service was friendly and efficient. We both ordered the BFF sandwich, which is a "crispy breaded and fried fancy mock chick'n with fresh sautéed jalapenos, spicy cheddar, avocado, lettuce, and tomato on a toasty bun, topped with our house-made ranch." It was good, felt like it was missing some flavor as the ranch was overpowering but the jalapeños were pleasantly spicy. We also got a side of their thyme fries, which are always delicious and filling. Didn't get any dessert this time but I do recommend their tsoynamis! Always a treat. read more

I ordered through the uber eats AP but after I came inside to pick up my meal, I decided I really loved the idea of buying Whoopi pies made with oatmeal cookies and a coffee, both were fantastic. me and my friends were OBSESSED with Nami (7th st) like 12 years ago, kinda forgot about it, started craving it recently, and FINALLY made our way back (to this location). YES you can tell the difference between this soft serve and "regular" soft serve, but that doesn't make it any less delicious, some would just say different‍ LOL. me and my bestie both got their fluffynutter'n tsoynami, she got hers with chocolate soft serve and i got a swirl. Wow! Chefs kiss to the genius that created the "Big WAC!" Since becoming a vegetarian I do miss the taste of a big MAC but not the meat part so when my sister brought me here & recommended I try it. It did NOT disappoint. I pretty much inhaled it. At first I was planning on sharing, but once I took a bite I had a change of heart. It's big too, y'all. It doesn't come with fries, so keep that in mind. However, my Mom (picky eater) ordered the halibut sandwich (mind you everything is plant based) & she was shocked by how good it tasted. She loved the breading, she thinks it's corn flakes so that's "why it tastes so good." & my sister ordered an artichoke salad (I can't remember the exact names.) but damn, whenever I come to visit AZ I will definitely be making this place one of my must go to restaurants. I will be dreaming of the Big WAC lol. Parking is shared with other businesses, we came at lunch time & had no trouble looking for parking. Great spot to come for lunch to get a quick & healthy bite. Green New American Vegetarian has been my go-to vegetarian restaurant for many years. This location is the original. There's also a location on 7th Street in Phoenix. Some of my favorite menu items are: Hummus - They recently have taken this off their menu, but I really hope it comes back someday. This is my favorite hummus. Warning: it will give you very strong garlic breath, but it's worth it! Big Wac - Their take on the Big Mac. I recently tried this with a mock chicken patty instead of the mock beef patty, and I liked it even more. It was the best mock chicken that I've ever eaten. It comes with fries, which are some of the best fries I've ever eaten. Highly recommend! Soynami - Their take on the Dairy Queen Blizzard. This is a dairy-free treat. They have a ton of different toppings that can be added. I sometimes just stop in for a soynami instead of a meal, since they are quite large. My boyfriend, who is not vegetarian, also enjoys this restaurant. There's definitely something for everyone! read more

I love Green! Had a craving for a burger, fries, and a shake and the "Fleetwood Wac" delivered. I love that they use Beyond patties but give them a Green twist by pressing them and mixing in some of their own spices, etc. The thyme fries always satisfy and I'm a big sucker for my usual PB N Chocolate Tsoynami with added cookie dough. I couldn't resist getting an order of the Damn Dan Noodles to try later, and they were epic! Tons of traditional Dan Dan flavor with some strong spice. Highly recommend this dish! I'm not vegetarian but have cut down on meat over the years. Green New American popped in my search and it sounded good so we gave it a try. As others have noted, the inside is unique and eclectic. There's no table service so you order your food, get assigned a table flag, and they'll bring your order to you. Overall the food was very good. The fried Brussels were cooked well but I gotta say that there was too much salt. It would have been perfect otherwise. The Damn Dan Noodles were delish! I substituted the "beef" with fried tofu and I was very happy. The taste was superb! I'd come back for this again. The golden curry bowl was also good but it didn't lack the flavor punch as the Damn Dan Noodles. All dishes came out piping hot which I do notice. The staff at the counter were friendly and inviting. I was so excited to check this place out since everything looks amazing on IG. The menu was stacked with delicious sounding items, so it was really hard to choose. We tried a couple of things - the mushroom Swiss special, crab, rangoon, and a burger with bacon and cheese. Everything we had was delicious. Even my meat eating brother was devouring everything. The mushroom Swiss was my favorite with its house made seitan roast beast, melty Swiss, grilled button mushrooms, and caramelized onions. Too bad it was just a special. It was nice and juicy/greasy in the best way possible. The fries were nice and crispy. The crab rangoon were good, but there wasn't much of a crab flavor so I would probably not order those again. This is my favorite vegan spot. I'm not vegan. Used to be vegetarian; now I eat everything. So I'm omnivore. But when I want a break from meat and to enjoy a tasty vegan treat I come here. My favorite items are the "buffalo wings" with ranch drsg, the chili cheese fries or east coast fries, and the tsoynami frozen treats (think DQ blizzard made with soy milk). You may notice, this is not a salad bar. I think this place works so well for me cause it's vegan comfort foods. They also have some nice veggie dishes as well. Not that I don't like salad, cause like I said, I eat everything :) The staff here are really friendly and happy to go over any menu items if you have questions. They have assorted alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Baked goods and frozen deserts. Ambiance is casual and chill. Overall my review is 5 stars. However when I went in this recent time, my order took a while for 2 items. I think the kitchen may have been backed up or something. Normally that's not the case. If it becomes a pattern I'll update my review. Otherwise, I highly recommend you try this place whether vegan or not. read more

Had a really bad big wac burger here at this location and that was the first and last time for me. The burger bun was soggy and the burger patty tasted like mush. Had to immediately throw it away. The service we received was okay overall and didn't have any issues there but the floor was super sticky inside the building which was an immediate red flag. So I'm doing a 21 day Daniel fast which is mostly a vegan diet and I'm close to the end of it. My son's family takes me here. Finally a more than decent meal that all of us like. Service was polite and quick. My big burrito to my sons burger and brussels sprouts. My grandsons chicken nuggets weren't my favorite but they ate them. All of the fries were perfectly cooked. Even though I chose to rate it 4/5, it's pretty freaking good. It's 4/5 because the food was really greasy. I had the special, which was faux chicken sliders and for the brussel sprouts and my boyfriend got their faux Big Mac. This was his favorite place he discovered and I honestly enjoy Vegan food so I had no complaints. Super cute and small, and actually had decent parking in back though the turn offs were hard to see. Food came out fast and was super yummy. Would for sure go again! You couldn't convince me those were not chicken if I didn't already know. What a great place to have some vegan food. They truly know the art of making food tastes perfect! I'm not vegan but I really enjoy eating at Green. Every time I eat their special I'm always taken back and wouldn't even know it's vegan....that's how my kids got me to eat here at Green. They brought me home some tacos from Green & I ate it without knowing it was vegan. I was telling my kids that it was so flavorful and was really good tasting. Then they told me it was vegan.....MY MIND WAS BLOWN!!! Now I know where to get good vegan food to get my veggies on! The staff here is so friendly and helpful. I am super sad about my update. See, there was a time I frequented this location and the Phoenix location frequently. When I say frequently I mean 2, sometimes 3x a week. Then the "thing" happened. I had a subpar experience and backed off considerably. I've tried a few times and I've had mess ups on my order where entire items are just not included, causing a call and an additional trip and another long wait. Every now and again I crave it. Tonight was one of those nights. I was stoked to see an app available online, though I won't need it good for them! I placed an online order at 6:18pm with est. ready time of 6:50pm. It's just up the street and I arrived shortly after pick up time. Long line, extremely and not one I thought I would have to wait in for an order than was estimated to be ready for pick up. Maybe that's where I messed up? I understand, things and happenings. I proceeded to the area where orders are packed. A lady there getting orders ready. I wait. I don't disturb, she calls "pick up order for [so and so]", hands it over, packs another order, calls the name, some guy thought it was his, it wasn't. She asks his name offers to check. At no point at all does she even acknowledge me. Which I find strange after watching a whole bunch going on. She just starts filling to go cup sauces and adding the mix to the frozen "cream" machine, wipes off the ketchup bottles, all basically right in front of me. Not a single word. I think I see my order up there, JxxxxA on the ticket. I think it's mine. She walks away, trades places with the person behind the register and starts taking orders. Ok. Word. Another gentleman inquires as to whether I've been assisted. I think it's my order sitting there. I was mistaken, pardon me. He asks my name, eventually let's me know it's coming up. I found my self being extraordinarily judgey with the first lady who just blatantly didn't even see me, I guess. I'm witnessing the interaction and demeanor as she takes orders. Super strange to me, the whole experience. Me in it. My order is up! I can't wait, handed over to me at 7:03 pm and I get into the car and start digging in. Taco first and it was absolutely divine! The sauce was incredible. Even though it was cold to the touch. The tortilla, the 'fish', cold, within what? Maybe a minute and a half? Fair enough but it was still so good. Maybe my chili is hot or fries or 'crab' puffs. Nope. All of it. COLD. I don't really understand how. I mean, sure that's what I get for grabbing take out but if it sat their long enough to get cold, what? It just sat? It just sat, not ready yet, chillin'. The food is so good. I never believe it's not "real" meat or dairy. For years, I thought, they must be lying. Because the food is so great, I'm likely to cave and go back. As I stood there, reading the statement on Etiquette in the hall where the washrooms were, I was curious if the employees embody what I get from reading about the chef and creator, the feel it wants to offer. I'm in a new level of giving no f***s and perhaps my hoodie, hat, disheveled appearing to outsiders state I look to carry causes a level of unimportance, maybe that's my perception and therefore, my reality. But nah, the vibe just always feels off to me. The whole way home I spoke allowed, please let there be onions and cheese, please let there be onions and cheese and there was and I'm eating my cold items and they're still so tasty... whatever, cold meal it is. In my opinion, when items are upcharged, I feel it sort of important to ensure they're included... but detail, distraction, I get it, kind of. Like I said, I'll be back because it really is phenomenal food even if the take out service is meh. read more

I've been here several times during visits to Phoenix and have always loved the food here. Everything is vegan and delicious, and I've taken several non-vegan/vegetarian folks here who have loved it as well. I wanted to update my review to shout out their ThanksLIVING meal for Thanksgiving because it was truly phenomenal. It was about $29 + tax per adult, and they had kids servings that were around $15. It came with seitan "turkey", Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, and a cobbler. We popped everything in the oven for about 30 minutes and it was ready to eat. There were two non-vegans/vegetarians in our group and they loved it. I would truly eat this every year for Thanksgiving. They do a similar holiday meal as well for the Christmas season and I would highly HIGHLY recommend ordering from them. You will not be disappointed. read more
