Took the family out for a spontaneous steak dinner Sunday night. The food was great but the highlight of the night was our server Jess. What a gem she is: kind, genuine, attentive and welcoming. There are many places to buy a steak in Treasure Valley--it's people like Jess that make you want to come back for the experience. So often today, customer service feels like a lost art. It was truly nice to see Indian Creek has some folks like Jess that understand hospitality. We'll be back and will be asking to spend our evening with her. The food was great too. For what they charge the steaks are just as good at TR My WAGYU burger, ordered medium, was brought and it was well done and just was not impressive for the $27 price tag. I've only downgraded my 5 star review to 4 stars just purely due to price. I do understand food costs has risen all over, but I feel the increase was a bit too high. However, service was still top notch and the ambiance still gives you that old school cowboy steakhouse feel. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted a nice steak and lobster dinner so we decided to go here and give it a try. So glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing. My husband had the 18 oz bone-in ribeye and I got the lobster tail. My husband loved his steak and my lobster was seriously THE BEST I have ever eaten. It was so good. Had a smoky flavor that I've never tasted with lobster before that was amazing. My only complaint is that we went on a Tuesday night when the farmers market was going so we had to park nearly five blocks away from the restaurant. The prices for the food seemed a bit excessive but after tasting it, I'd pay it again. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner and plan to make it our regular anniversary spot from now on. read more

My friend ordered the Cattle kabobs, and I ordered the prime dip dinner, and it was horrible from beginning to end. After ordering our food, it took close to 30 minutes before we were served, and the place was half empty. My friend said the kebobs was OK at best, my prime dip was completely horrible. The meat was overcooked to a gray rubbery mass, the bread was dry and stale, the fries was lukewarm and soggy, the dip was tasteless, like something out of a cheap package, definitely not made in house. And the small sandwich was $26.99. The service was just as bad as the food, and the place was very noisy. Never going back, go to Texas Roadhouse instead. read more

The atmosphere was cool, with live music and dancing, which we enjoyed after dinner until we witnessed an angry-looking man carrying a knife. He was walking around clearly looking for someone specific. Apparently, Caldwell isn't the safest, so that was our cue to get out of there before something bad happened. This was a first and last time for Indian Creek Steakhouse. Im sure that at one point in time this was a solid go-to and fairly priced local gem which no longer exists. Granted I heard nothing but good things about this place. We showed up for our reservation on time and the place was busy. Within 10 minutes of being seated we had our drink order and food order placed. A chicken salad for my wife and a ribeye for myself. Fast forward about 45 minutes to an hour.....no food. We flagged down another server (who was very helpful and polite, a real sweetheart) who checked on our food which came out about 5 to 10 minutes after seeing some scrambling of the staff. My ribeye steak, baked potato, and beans were barely warm. So who knows how long this food sat around dying. Never have I sent food back and wanted to leave so quickly without eating anything. Needless to say I was craving a steak for dinner, but left the establishment behind along with my apetite. With a price tag of $48.99, I honestly expected quite a bit more from a "Steakhouse". When you attach those sort of prices you need to come with your "A" regardless how busy it was. read more

We have eaten here non-happy hour (7 days a week until 6pm) and honestly, would not do it again. Great food but very expensive. This review is purely based on happy hour...not regular dining! All well drinks, house wines, and domestic drafts are 1$ off on happy hour and they have a happy hour meal menu. We have tried all of the happy hour meals! Today we got burgers. They are amazing! Taste great, cooked how you want! Same with the steaks! Always cooked well and tase great! I'm not a huge fan of the nacho's because they come with bbq sauce, but they always just take it off for me. We typically sit up at the bar unless we have a group. Bar tenders are always nice and attentive. Drinks are made well and they are pretty good about special requests! My wife and I are seniors and got there in time for the senior/discounted menu (didn't even know there was one until later) and no one thought to mention it. Then I ordered a steak which was ok with a baked potato. I asked for bacon bits. The bacon bits they serve are nothing but pureed bacon fat. Disgusting. I assumed it was a fluke. Went there again and the same thing happened. It made me sick. I still get a sick feeling every time I think of it. Won't be going there again. read more

Indian Creek Steakhouse has the potential to be a great spot, but it falls short in a few areas. It's more of a bar for middle-aged country folks than a true steakhouse experience. The space is massive--almost too big--and the lack of separation between the dining area and bar creates an awkward atmosphere. Before the live music starts, it's strangely quiet yet still loud because you can hear everyone's conversations. Once the music kicks in, it becomes almost impossible to have one of your own. The food was underwhelming for the price. I had a burger that cost $20 (with an upcharge for cheese), and it was so salty I could barely eat it. My husband ordered a steak, and his response was, "I could make this better at home for way less." To top it off, they never brought one of his sides. The best part of our experience was our server/bartender, who was really nice. Unfortunately, service was painfully slow--we waited a long time just to order, get our food, and finally receive the check. This place would be great if you're just looking to go out for drinks, but if you're here for the food and atmosphere, it's overpriced and poorly set up. I ate here back in December. I ordered a bottle of Huston Cab (I believe a 2016...rare...apparently they only have a few bottles). The menu price said it's C $95, but they actually changed me $125. When I brought it to the attention of the General Manager she reluctantly credited my CC....so she says. I didn't receive the credit...I called in January and again the GM said she will credit my Card. Well, as of today, I have not received the $30 credit ( the difference between the menu price and what I actually was charged. Couple other comments: 1. The General Manager (she works in the bar often). She's a liar and not customer friendly. 2. The bottle they think is so great isn't. After 10 years in the bottle, it hasn't aged well and really isn't worth the price. I'll never go back!!! read more

At first, the restaurant looked promising--the western-style décor was interesting, and it gave us hope for a good evening. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. Ordering took forever. When I finally placed my order, I was very clear about how I wanted my food prepared, and I even emphasized that I wouldn't send it back if they could just prepare it the way I asked. When the food arrived, not only did they ignore my request, but the server hinted that the kitchen was "too busy" to make it that way. Instead of being honest up front, they just served it incorrectly. The food was so bad I had to ask for it to be removed from the bill. My wife ordered a simple hamburger and said it was one of the worst she's ever had. I had the beef dip sandwich--the meat was fatty, the bread stale, and overall inedible. Our friends were also unhappy with their meals. To top it off, the food took forever--ordering was slow, and waiting for the kitchen was even worse. Bottom line: I do not recommend this place. The food was terrible, the service was slow, and the overall experience was a complete disappointment. Don't waste your time or your money here. Came here on a Friday night at around 8pm and my girl friend and I sat at the bar. The bartender gave us our menu, water and a beer for my friend. Her and I looked at the menu, decided what we wanted and then we waited for him to come back. We saw him go to everyone but us. Finally I put the menu in the air and another bartender came up to us. Charly. She was new behind the bar and didn't know that we hadn't been helped yet. She apologized but it wasn't her fault at all. The male bartender seemed to purposely be avoiding us. The bar had us, another "table" of 5, and a couple others. The sitting area was semi busy, but he definitely had time to come to us and ask if we were ready to order. We ordered the appetizer sampler. The chicken tenders, green beans, and, one more thing. I can't remember. Also two fry breads. The appetizers were brought out on all separate plates and you could tell the fryer oil wasn't cleaned out in a bit. It was a really weird presentation. Usually when you order a sampler it is all on the same serving plate, but this wasn't. It just looked really weird. Food is always great from my experience and I haven't had bad service yet. We ate here most recently on a Saturday night and it wasn't terribly crowded but busy. The food prices though have just become to unreasonably high. Let me start by saying that their happy hour deals are hard to beat, an 8 oz sirloin and two sides for $12.99 is unheard of! They have happy hour from 2-6 daily! There are a few different food options on their happy hour menu and drinks are $1 off. This space is huge! They have an area with pool tables and a mechanical bull, an area with a dance floor and live music, and then they have what they call their "tavern" which is much more laid back and offers a quiet romantic environment. We were seated in the tavern and loved it! The decor was awesome and we felt very secluded from the rest of the restaurant. The steak was incredible. It had such good flavor and was so tender. I got a side of loaded mashed potatoes and a side salad. We also got an order of fried pickles to share. They tasted very fresh and definitely homemade, we loved them. Such a great experience last night! It was mine and my husband's first time here. My husband and I enjoyed the steakhouse! We ordered some wings that were delicious! Probably the best wings I've had. We sat by the back door and every time someone came in or out we got an arctic wind across the table. The guy behind me kept bumping into me ( I sat down long before he arrived).
